Ykee Benda has been on top of charts for his good music ever since his breakthrough a few years ago, but has recently been investing so much in his music videos.
Few weeks ago, the “Farmer” singer released the much-anticipated video of his dancehall song, “Amina”.
The video is a definition of fine colour grading and lighting. It also portrays Ykee Benda’s sense of fashion.
The video dances were choreographed by dancer Eddy Wizzy and shot by Swangz Filmmaker, Marvin Musoke.
This video accompanies a very nice audio that was well received by fans.
After featuring on a World Cup project with Jason Derulo and shooting another multi million project with God father, Ykee Benda seems like he is on rampage.
Latest coming from the grapevine is that the Superman hit maker has just shot another multi-million shilling project in Sierra Leone with arguably the biggest artiste there.
In an exclusive interview with his manager Michael, he revealed that the director, Patro was flown in all the way from the States in order to shoot this project. He also informed us it cost a little more than God father’s Kyenkyebula, which implies that it must have cost him quite a sum.
He explained the reason the video was shot in Sierra Leone was because Ykee wanted to get a perfect portrayal of a wartorn country, how people there feel and a feel of the Atlantic ocean. More still, it was another series of Ykee expressing more of his unique artistry.
Ykee Benda takes after other local artistes like Bebe Cool , Voltage Music and Sheebah as far as raising the bar regarding music videos. He has shot many impressive projects including one with continental big wigs Teekay and Godfather respectively, Superman and Kyenkyebula. Way to go Benda!
Just after landing a big collaboration with America singer, Jason Derulo for the World Cup anthem,”Colors”, singer Ykee Benda is in another song with Nigerian Star, Rekado Banks.
The song was produced by the multi-talented Neseem Pan Production and we can’t wait to feed our ears with the sweet melodies.
Reakado Banks was in town for a performance at the wedding of a yet to be identified loaded Nigerian. He also did some media tours for his upcoming album.He is signed to Marvin Records with stars like Koredo Belle,Don Jazzy,Tiwa Savage and Di’ja .

She blends so exceptionally with Ykee on this song and it’s most beautiful when they blend on the hook as they ask someone to get the a life jacket as they are drowning in each other’s love. The singer confirmed on facebook that he and longtime girlfriend Julie batenda are officially over.
“These are going to be some dark days maybe months I don’t know…for both of us. But I Know there will be light at some point. I will forever celebrate you and wish you nothing but bliss and happiness. I can barely write another statement, my heart is pumping too fast. Goodbye and God bless you Julie Batenga,”
Julie also went ahead to delete all photos of them together from her account. This maybe the last straw.
Last year, Julie introduced Ykee Benda to her family in Mukono at a “Kukyala”, a traditional pre-marital ceremony.

Local RnB Artist Ykee Benda put up a stellar show at his album listeners’ party at Fame Bar and Lounge, Kampala.
As it seems this is about to be a new hot trend for Artists in Uganda. Ykee took the stage at about 9pm and took the crowd through his entire album “kireka Boy”.
The emcee of the evening, was comedian Salvado for whom Ykee curtain raised his “Man from Ombokolo show”.
Other Acts included dancer Eddie wizzy and Singer Jemimiah who also entertained the crowd.
Ykee Benda later returned and put up an energetic live performance. His performance fired up the crowd and kept them on their feet the entire time, most especially the ladies.

We know that over the weekend, two of our most celebrated and loved artists, Sheeba Karungi and Ykee Benda celebrated their birthdays.
The Superman hit singer, and currently the sensation of the youth had a suprise birthday party at his house, where he was bombarded and smeared with cake by his friends. He turns 26 years old.
