Renowned Kikuyu musicians Samuel Muchoki, also known as Samidoh, and Muigai Wa Njoroge entertained fans not only with their music but also with a lighthearted exchange about their personal lives.

The banter commenced with Muigai Wa Njoroge playfully expressing his eagerness to return home to his wives.

“I want to head home because my wives are eagerly awaiting my return,” he teased, prompting Samidoh to jestingly inquire if one of his wives hadn’t left him.

“Hasn’t one of your wives taken off?” Samidoh quipped.

Muigai promptly defended himself, clarifying that his wives hadn’t left him but had opted to live separately.

“They simply relocate and choose to live independently,” he countered.

He then shifted the conversation to Samidoh’s own romantic history, mentioning his separation from his wife Edday.

“Weren’t you also abandoned at the height of your romance?” Muigai teased, to which Samidoh responded with a touch of humor, drawing a comparison between the departure styles of their wives.

“Mine departed via plane, but yours departed on a motorcycle,” Samidoh remarked.

The banter continued as Muigai highlighted the convenience of his wife’s mode of departure compared to Samidoh’s situation, joking that Samidoh would need to apply for a visa to visit his wife.

“If I want mine, I can simply hop on a motorbike and reach her, but if you want yours, you’ll need to apply for a visa to see her,” Muigai joked.

However, Samidoh remained undeterred, citing his financial success and newfound ease of travel.

“With the wealth I’ve amassed, a trip abroad these days feels like a visit to my home country,” he quipped, eliciting laughter from his fans.

In April 2023, Samidoh’s first wife, Edday Nderitu, departed Kenya with their three children. Around the same time, Muigai Wa Njoroge’s first wife, Njeri, announced her departure from their polygamous union.
