Double blessings as Comedian Njoro lands new comedy gig, days after securing media job

It is a moment of pride for former Churchill Show comedian, Njoro who left for rehab mid-August and 2 weeks after his return, received a placement in a popular radio station in the country.

Early November, the kid broke the news after landing a gig at Flamingo Radio for a show dubbed The Backstage.

Asking fans to stay tuned for the evening show that runs every weekday from 7pm till 10pm.

“Kesho Niko radio majamaa…listen give me your views tafadhali,” he urged.

A show the funny man is hosting alongside DJ Charlie and Otim Otim, in Nakuru.

And to commend him for the major milestone, his former boss, Mwalimu Churchill who was so proud of him, congratulated;

“That’s your calling. I know you can do it! You’ve done it at Kiss FM, in Washington DC. Nakuru Kenya is not even ready for you!!!”

“Focus and kill it. Because we all know you can!!! Chapa ilale…????????????????????”.

A message well received and humbly so as an elated Njoro replied;

And a day later, the kid has landed yet another gig in a comedy arena dubbed Comedy Night where he performs alongside Teacher Wanjiku and Akuku Danger on November 28, in Muranga county.

The series of good news from the comedian whose plight was highlighted in July, by fellow comedienne, Zainabu Zeddy, have indeed been warmly received by fans.

It is all congratulations to Njoro as he keeps soaring higher.

Njoro the comedian is back home after a 9-week admission into rehab.

His story went viral after confessing to the public, through fellow comedienne, Zainabu Zeddy that he had been battling depression for a while and even attempted suicide thrice.

Netizens came to his rescue, with many willing to offer him the support he needed, just to get back in shape to take care of his children and mother.

Soon after, the frail-looking 28-year old was booked in for therapy, forcing him to take a break off social media.

9 weeks later, the funny guy looks rejuvenated and recuperating well, while publicly announcing “we are back …”

A story he would never have lived to tell were it not for the massive support he received especially from fellow comedians in the local industry.

It is a tough journey, but we did it!” Njoro admitted. Going ahead to thank MC Jessy, Jimmy Gait, Mercy Masika, Zeddy and Tina Kaggia, for coming through when he needed them most.

With fans admitting that Njoro had actually added some weight and looking a bit more vibrant than he was 9 weeks ago.

Meanwhile, he mourned the tragic loss of fellow Churchill comedian Othuol Othuol who he did not get the chance to say goodbye to.

Comedian Njoro admitted to rehab (Video)

Njoro the comedian battled months of continued depression, lost his loved ones and friends through alcoholism but through good Samaritans the young creative has seen the light.

After comedienne, Zeddy’s expose on his plight, Kenyans were able to come together to secure his dad financial support on his treatment and now, it’s Njoro’s time.

The comedian has admitted it killed him on the inside, life no longer had meaning, he became useless to his parents and his family but through Churchill and Zeddy, he is on his journey to regain mental sanity.

Through his Instagram page, the comedy kid revealed he would be taking sometime off the public space as he goes into therapy for 1-3 months because he is not mentally stable.

Guys, I will be away for sometime, for treatment (1-3mnths) coz my “engine”( brain) is not okay. I believe I’m gonna beat this & you’ll see me very very soon after I’m done with the treatment.

Njoro the comedian’s story was one that inspired Kenyans from all walks of life to throw in a hand or two to help him out of depression and foot some of their family bills.

A fundraising program that bore good fruits, as Project Afya took up his father’s hospital bills as he battled cancer and one that has seen the comedian immensely change over the last couple of weeks.
