Snoop Dogg’s daughter suffers stroke

Cori Broadus, the daughter of Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus, revealed that she experienced a severe stroke on Thursday.

Sharing a photo from a hospital bed, the singer, known as Choc, posted on her Instagram story, “I had a severe stroke this am.” She expressed her emotional reaction, saying, “I started breaking down crying when they told me.”

In a subsequent post with text covering her face, she wrote, “Like I’m only 24. What did I do in my past to deserve this.”

Cori Broadus, who has over 650,000 followers on Instagram, is the youngest child of the famous rapper and Shante, alongside their other children, Corde and Cordell. Snoop Dogg also has a son, Julian, from his previous relationship with Laurie Holmond. Cori is the CEO of the makeup brand Choc Factory Co.

In 2021, Cori revealed on Instagram that she was diagnosed with lupus at the age of 6, a condition that she said contributed to poor mental health.

“I grew up with two light-skinned brothers, and I was the only chocolate one. I was overweight. I got lupus at 6, so I was overweight from being on steroids, and it automatically messed with my mental health… people looked at me like I was an alien,” she shared at the time.

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation and pain in various parts of the body. It occurs when the immune system attacks healthy tissue.

Last September, Cori opened up about her battle with lupus, sharing her journey towards better health through natural methods. She mentioned discontinuing medications, adopting a natural lifestyle with herbs and sea moss teas, and focusing on fitness and hydration.

“I’ve had medications since I was 6 years old, depending on these drugs all my life. So, I wanted better for myself. I wanted to change because it just became a lot. I’m only 24 years old, taking 10 to 12 pills every single day. So I kind of went cold turkey.”

Family, friends, and fans have taken to their Instagram stories to send well-wishes to the young Broadus.

Legendary Rapper Snoop Dogg Announces He’s Quit Smoking

In a surprising turn of events, renowned American rapper Calvin Broadus Jr., better known as Snoop Dogg, has revealed that he is quitting smoking marijuana. The announcement, made on November 16th via an Instagram post, sent shockwaves through the hip-hop community and beyond.

“After much consideration & conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time,” the 52-year-old rapper wrote in the brief message.

Snoop Dogg, a longtime advocate for marijuana legalization and a prominent figure in cannabis culture, has been closely associated with weed smoking throughout his illustrious 31-year career. His signature style of smoking has been emulated by countless fans, and his lyrics often revolve around cannabis themes.

The unexpected announcement has left many fans skeptical, with some expressing confusion and others assuring the rapper that they would carry on his legacy. Despite the skepticism, Snoop Dogg’s decision to quit smoking marks a significant shift in his personal life and public image.

Snoop Dogg’s musical journey began in the early 1990s when he featured on Dr. Dre’s groundbreaking album “The Chronic,” which famously featured a marijuana leaf on its cover art. In 1993, Snoop Dogg released his debut album, “Doggystyle,” catapulting him to stardom and establishing him as a force to be reckoned with in the rap game.

Beyond music, Snoop Dogg has made a notable appearance in the 1998 cult classic “Half Baked,” portraying a character that embodies his stoner persona. The film, which revolves around a group of friends’ love for marijuana, further cemented Snoop Dogg’s image as a cannabis enthusiast.

Snoop Dogg’s decision to quit smoking is a personal one, and it remains to be seen whether it will have a lasting impact on his career and public persona. Regardless, the announcement has sparked conversations about the rapper’s legacy and the evolving attitudes towards cannabis consumption
