For a long time Kenyans have loved west African movies and English movies from the west. However as time continues to go by, so is the entertainment industry in Kenya and boy have we come from far.

Back in the day we had the likes of Mama Kayai and Nyasuguta representing the faces of actress in the country; but now, there are a few bad and bougie actresses who have undeniably spiced up the movie industry for us.

5. Bridget Shighadi

Actress Bridget Shighadi who is married to Nick Mutuma has been doing quite well in the entertainment industry. So far she has landed a few roles on major TV shows and judging how she her delivers her role as Sofia on TV show Maria; lets just say that she took too much tie before embarking on this new journey!

4. Yasmeen Saiedi (Maria)

Judging from how Kenyans adore her; Yasmeen Saiedi popularly known as Maria was undeniably born for TV life. She has been able to connect with many throw the popular show; and so far, most actresses who have been in the industry cannot match up to her talent. She’s a star and a beautiful one!

The petite Brenda Wairimu has been dominating the entertainment industry for years now. For some reason I believe that her talent has been underrated but truth is; Brenda is amazing actress who delivers in ways we cannot even explain in plain words.

Mrs Phil Karanja owns the entertainment industry! Thanks to her remarkable talent, most fans will tell you that Kate actress was born to be an actress. She can be cheeky and serious at the same; however I cannot deny that we love the ‘hood’ type vibe she gives on most of her movies and shows!

Thanks to TV show Sue and Johnnie the lovely Teshna was able to showcase her talent that kept many glued to their TV stations. I mean, she is an exotic lady with a classy vibe; but at the same time a ghetto girl. Although she seemsto have taken a break from the Kenyan entertainment industry; Serah’s talent was a clear indication that she will one day run the entertainment industry.

Actress Yasmeen Saiedi is a favorite to many! This is because of the TV show she stars in as ‘Maria’ an impressive character Yasmeen managed to bring out; hence giving most of her East African fans a reason to follow up on her.

Just recently Lulu Hassan who is her boss went on to praise the young lady for her humble character; and most of loving person she has ever come across. On the post shared by Lulu Hassan, she went on to praise Maria promising her of a bright future ahead.

Anyway, this same Maria has left tongues wagging on social media after stepping out in a stunning wedding gown; which has left her looking like a princess. Although this was not for her actual wedding but a scene on the popular show; fans couldn’t help but admire how beautiful she looked in her gown.

Fans shower Maria with praises

Judging from how stunning the young lady looked; most of her fans could not stop showering her with praises as seen in the comment section. Among those who went on to admire Maria is Nick Mutuma’s partner Bridget Shighadi who left a comment saying;

And the rest could not help but ask for her in marriage now that she has turned 20 years and is no longer a teenager. Anyway, with such new talent being appreciated on social media, then I guess this is just the beginning of Yasmeen’s beautiful career.

Swahili TV anchor Lulu Hassan has left most of her fans impressed with the special message she sent out to TV star Maria aka Yasmeen Saiedi. This was however meant to celebrate the young lady as she finally turns 20 years.

As seen on Lulu Hassan’s page, the news anchor went on to praise the young lady for her hard work, passion towards learning new things; not forgetting the fact that she is humble a humble soul.

Through her instagram page, Lulu Hassan went on to celebrate Ms Yasmeen saying;

I wondered today what to say to you. I thought long and hard what you tell a young girl who is selfless, hardworking, a giver, a joy to be around. What does one say to someone with such resilience, such power, the discipline you display makes me wonder, what if we had more and more of Yasmines around us?

In the same text, Ms Lulu went on to promise actress Maria that she will always be there in every step she takes. This however came as a big surprise since Lulu is not known to randomly celebrate her cast on social media.

However, there is no secret that the anchor adores Yasmeen hence her touchy message as seen on social media.
