Duale has been secretly dating former presidential candidate Nazlin Umar Rajput. Their clandestine affair was exposed on the front page of the Nairobian newspaper.

A 10-minute recording revealed Duale and Nazlin was been dating for at least three years. Nazlin is a widow with four kids. Her ex husband died in January 2017, he succumbed to cancer.
