Gangster queen Lavender Akinyi who has been terrorizing Nairobi’s rich finally arrested

Recent CCTV footage showed how Lavender Akinyi Ogilo robbed residents of Muthaiga. The gang of four specialized in robbing Nairobi’s upmarket neighbourhoods.

Lavender Akinyi topped police’s list of most wanted criminals. She eluded cops for three long years and continued terrorizing Nairobi residents.

Lavender’s gang was armed to the teeth and they committed all sorts of crime. The gang is believed to be behind series of burglaries in Lavington, Kileleshwa and Muthaiga areas.

Hideouts

Police believe Lavender managed to elude them for long because she used to sneak into Tanzania when she was being pursued and only returned to Kenya when the storm calms.

Lavender’s luck however run out on Tuesday. The 31-year old and mother of one  was arrested by detectives from Kilimani Police station who raided her house in Ruaka.

Two men and women found in her house were also arrested and are assisting police with investigations. All the suspects are being held at the Kilimani Police Station.
