Mwanaisha Chidzuga’s message to her former K24 colleagues is sound advice

Mwanaisha Chidzuga gave some rather good advice to her one-time colleagues who were shown the door by Mediamax which owns the likes of Milele FM and K24.

You see, many (over 90 per cent of their newsroom staff) had their employment contracts terminated and often this is not only a humiliating position to find yourself in but it can also be quite a discombobulating space if you hadn’t prepared financially for such a possibility.

Mwanaisha Chidzuga it should be remembered has found herself in this exact circumstance of retrenchment not once but twice. And who better to give you advice about adversity than someone conversant with it?

¨K24 was a hobby. I have my main hustle¨ Mwanaisha Chidzuga´s savage response after being fired from K24

And her advice is sound in both its efforts to instil pride in the affected former K24 employees and exhorting them to begin investing in themselves:

I know its tough, it hurts, hearts are broken ,but mine is to CONGRATULATE you all. For accepting to live your best lives now while you still have the energy and time to invest in yourself n rebuild wht is rightfully yours. Safari ndefu huanza na hatua moja..Congratulations for your Job Loss.

The caustic manner many perceive the congratulations was intended is actually meant to make these guys see things from a different perspective; one that will energize them into actually investing in themselves if they hadn’t already.

So yes, perhaps the statement by Mwanaisha Chidzuga was a kick in the pants to her former colleagues and many will not appreciate it but the truth remains that it is what they need to be told.
