Lerato Kganyago has revealed her darkest moment on radio. It was the same day Bonang Matheba left after hosting one show with her.

It was really the darkest moment on her radio.

Lerato was speaking to Mo Flava and Masechaba Ndlovu on The Drive. She said: “I think my darkest moment, and I’m not tying to blame anyone, but it was the day when I actually did the show Bonang on that day, and I got blamed for her leaving the show.”

She wept for days, and even asked herself why she was being punished. “Cause I said, ‘but all I’m doing, God, is doing what you have given me to the table, what you’ve tasked me with’.”

There is however no bad blood between the two.

“I have so much respect for her, she has her own reasons why she left.”

She also says she gave Bonang advice.

“I said, ‘Bonang, don’t you ever, ever, ever in your life make emotional decisions, ever… Think about it, I know you’re not happy with what has happened, whatever it is, I don’t want details. But don’t make emotional decisions, this can actually work’.”

Now, Lerato is having a blast hosting The Bridge alongside Dineo Ranaka.

Lerato Kganyago loves having he private life to herself. She has in the recent past opened up about her being in a relationship.

During a recent interview with Masechaba Ndlovu and Mo Flava, this is what she had to say about her partner.

“I’ve got a partner that I love wholeheartedly.”

About what makes him special is: “He works hard, and that’s what I love about him.”

While speaking to Drum in 2017, she said: “We’ve been together for over a year and it’s going really great. He’s the total opposite of me – he’s reserved and I’m more outspoken and outgoing. I’m hoping to be with him for a long time.” 

Lerato Kganyago came out on the 24th of December to speak about a racist attack she faced.

She did this on Twitter where she said that she was allegedly strangled by an Afrikaans man while his wife called her helper the ‘K’ word.

Three weeks after the incident, fans came out to ask about the progress of the case.

Lerato then said that the culprits have not been caught. She added that the cops are working tirelessly to trace them.

Police are now searching for the man who allegedly attacked Lerato Kganyago.

Captain Kay Makhubele told Daily Sun the assault case was opened at Honeydew cop shop.

“Investigations are under way. No suspect has been arrested,” he said.

Lerato posted a series of tweets about her alleged horrific experience after she was allegedly assaulted at Pick n Pay in Featherbrooke Village .

She tweeted: “I just got strangled by an Afrikaans man in the middle of a retail store at Featherbrook centre after his wife called my helper a k*****. It was unprovoked and I approached her about it.

“Why these people get away with such things still baffles me! This Afrikaans man put his hands around my neck in front of everyone. I just want the footage! I want that man arrested! What happened today is not about me but about those who’ve faced countless incidents like this day in and day out and felt powerless to stand up.”

Project Runway host Lerato Kganyago took to Twitter to share her horrific experience on Christmas Eve. She says she was strangled in Pick n’ Pay, Featherbrook Village by a man.

“I just got STRANGLED by an Afrikaans man in the middle of @PicknPay at Featherbrook center after his wife called my helper a K***** unprovoked and I approached her about it. Why these people get away with such still baffles me! [sic]”, Lerato tweeted.

“This Afrikaans man put his hands around my neck in front of everyone @PicknPay I just want the FOOTAGE! I want that man arrested!!”

Pick n Pay responded to Lerato’s tweets, stating that they were investigating the matter.

She has also opened a case at the honeydew police station.

In her tweets, she later added: “What happened today is not about me, but about those who have faced countless  incidents like this day in and day out and felt powerless to stand up. To Esther and those many others who have experienced the same attacks on their dignity, know that your voice matters!”

Last month, Lerato Kganyago confirmed that she would be leaving Live Amp. She thus hosted her last show this past Friday.

During her tenure at Live Amp, she got to bag her first Safta for best presenter.

In her press release last month, Lerato talked of her experience at Live Amp.

“Co-hosting Live Amp has been the most incredible and fulfilling ride of my entertainment career thus far. However, two years in the same spot is a little too long for a Soweto girl like me who’s always looking for a new challenge. I will forever be indebted to SABC1 and Urban Brew for allowing me the unparalleled opportunity to showcase my talents on the country’s premium music entertainment offering.”

Lerato Kganyago posted a picture of her alleged new bae and center back for Bidvest Wits Bongani Sandile Khumalo and captioned it “Cup Cake”.

Well Chanel 24 has revealed more about Bongani Sandile Khumalo.

Here is the Info:

1. As tall as he is, and he is 1, 88 m tall, Bongani was born on 6 January 1987.

2. He was born in Manzini, Swaziland and grew up in Pretoria.

3. He was the third player born outside South Africa to play for Bafana Bafana.

4. Bongani started playing professional football in 2005 for AmaTuks. He played for Tottenham Hotspur from 2011 until 2015.

5. He returned to South Africa and played briefly for SuperSport United, and was later transferred to Bidvest Wits.

After two years on Live AMP, Lerato Kganyago has resigned. She released a statement where she thanked SABC1 and Urban Brew for the opportunity and thanked her co host DJ Warras.

Her last appearance will be on May 18th.

Her producers have also sent their best wishes to her.

And it’s nothing but well wishes from the show’s producers and the SABC’s public relations team.

“It was an absolute pleasure watching Lerato grow with the Live Amp brand. Her love and passion for entertainment kept her grounded throughout her stay. She will no doubt make a success of anything she chooses to take on,” said Akhumzi Jezile, the show’s producer.

“Her commitment to the show is evident in her recent Safta win,” added Zandile Nkonyeni, the head of public relations for SABC TV. “We are grateful that as a public broadcaster we have contributed immensely to her television career and are proud to have had Lerato as part of the Live Amp family. Lerato Kganyago shut  down a follower wit the spiciest way possible.

It all went down on Twitter on Sunday afternoon when Lerato expressed how happy she was with life.

“Man! Heart so freakin happy!! So content! So thankful, so grateful!!!” 

One tweep questioned whether rapper Cassper Nyovest had anything to do with her happiness saying “Cassper be doing the most.”

The tweep’s question seemed to stem from Lerato working with Cassper and Jason Derulo on a track for the World Cup.

Lerato did not hold back and fired a whole lot of spice back.

“How about she’s happy cuz (because) she got a great deal, she’s nominated for a SAFTA, she’s just happy and content! Why does it have to be about a man? A man that I’m working with by the way!” 

The radio star also made it clear that she owed no one an explanation about her private life.

“Let me make this clear for you love, like you, you don’t need clarity about my personal life. It’s mine not ours! Let’s respect each other, boundaries!” 

Ouch! hope the follower learns what not to ask Lerato

Lerato Kganyago has jetted off to the US. This is on a deal with Coca Cola.

Lerato shared the news on social media with her followers.

“Off to Los Angeles once again… This time on a mission with Coca Cola,” she said.
