Kenya Power announced on [date] that there will be power interruptions in five counties on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. The affected counties are Nakuru, Nandi, Siaya, Kwale, and Kisii.

Kenya Power apologizes for any inconvenience the power interruptions may cause.

Power outages are scheduled to affect several areas in five counties of Kenya on Tuesday, October 17, from 3:00 AM to 5:00 PM, according to a notice issued by the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) on Monday evening.

The affected counties are Kiambu, Kajiado, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, and Mombasa.

In Kiambu County, parts of Ting’ang’a and Ngemwa will be without power between 3:00 AM and 5:00 PM, while parts of Muthiga and Magana will be affected between 2:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

In Kajiado County, parts of Ngong and Kibiko will be affected between 3:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Part of Bombolulu Street in Mombasa County will also be affected by the power cut.

In Nyeri County, parts of Ichamara, Ngoru, Kiganjo, and Kirichu will lack electricity between 2:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Part of the town of Kutus and the area of KTI University will be affected by power cuts between 3:00 AM and 10:00 AM.

KPLC has not provided a reason for the power outages, but it is likely that they are related to maintenance or repair work on the electricity grid.

Customers in the affected areas are advised to make necessary arrangements to minimize the disruption to their activities.

Kenya Power has announced that nine counties will experience power outages on Thursday, October 12, 2023. The affected counties are Nairobi, Machakos, Trans Nzoia, Kisumu, Kakamega, Vihiga, Nyeri, Kiambu, and Kirinyaga.

Kenya Power has announced that five regions will experience power interruptions on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. The affected regions are Nairobi, North Eastern, South Nyanza, Mt Kenya, and Coast.

The power interruptions will occur at different times in each region. In Nairobi, the affected areas include parts of Umoja, Mwangaza School, Busara School, Peter Kibukosya School, Busara School, Umoja 2 Market 1 and 2, Twinkid School, Rosslyn Lone Tree, Nyari West, Ruaka Groove, Riviera Mall, Gachie, and the Embassy of Switzerland. The power interruption in these areas will be from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

In Kiambu, the affected areas include Sigona, Zambezi, Nderi, KEFRI, KARI, KEPHIS, Rumwe, Kamangu, Runana, Ting’ang’a Market, Ngemwa, St. Joseph the Worker, Gituamba, Ngemwa Police, and Ting’ang’a. The power interruption in these areas will also be from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
