Mugo Wa Wairimu will have to find a new lawyer after Cliff Ombeta opted out of his case. The lawyer represented the quack in 2015 when he was first accused of defiling a woman at his Prestige Clinic which was located in Githurai 44.

Ombeta successfully managed to secure Mugo’s release through bail, the quack however was unappreciative and went back to doing the very things got him arrested in the first place.

The fake doctor opened a new clinic in Kayole after he was released on bail, he operated the clinic without following any medical regulations.

NTV exposé, which is the reason why police hunted him down, shows how the quack conducts abortions and consumes alcohol inside his clinic in Kayole as he attends to patients.

Feared backlash from women

Lawyer Cliff Ombeta refused to represent Mugo in the second case claiming that he fears facing backlash from women considering the quack’s criminal record.

“Being a man with a daughter, I do not want to be involved in this matter. I have managed to get him out on previous matters but now I have decided this matter is a little bit murky. I tend to also think the energy that I will receive is negative especially from ladies and women,” said Cliff Ombeta.

Fake doctor Mugo wa Wairimu was finally arrested by Flying Squad after going underground for over a week. The quack went missing following the airing of NTV exposé that showed how he was scamming patients while operating an illegal clinic in Kayole.

After more than a week of searching, police finally arrested Mugo wa Wairimu on Tuesday night at his hideout in Gachie, Kiambu county.

The fake doctor was taken to Pangani Police Station in Nairobi, he will be arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts Wednesday November 14th.

No woman deserves to be raped

Corazon Kwamboka has expressed her opinion about Mugo wa Wairimu in a lengthy post on social media. The socialite apologized to all women who fell victim to Mugo, she also condemned his actions.

ABORTIONS, RAPE AND DRUG ABUSE ‘Doctor’ MUGO WA WAIRIMU.

Catching up with recent affairs yesterday and I come across a documentary about this guy. First I thought, ah! This again, only to realize that this is a fresh investigation, not the 2015 one. This guy is back doing harm to vulnerable women in Nairobi.

First I want to extend my sympathy to every woman who has been through such ordeals. No woman deserves to be raped, but even worse to be raped or taken advantage of by a doctor, someone you trusted to act in your best interest at your most vulnerable time. I am not here to condemn or judge you for procuring an abortion, I don’t know your story. I’m here to condemn this quack for putting his patients at risk, by doing medical procedures without due diligence and when high as a giraffes ass, and afterwards overcharging and raping women amidst the trauma they just underwent.

Lately, I’ve been to one doctors office to another (gynecologist). When you go to a doctors office, you think this is your safe space, and to be sexually assaulted when under the influence of the anaesthesia is beyond sick.

In 2015, this quack could not be charged with rape for lack of forensic. This time I hope the relevant government agencies will do thorough and proper investigation, and our courts will not slack either in order to protect us once and for all against the devious MUGO wa WAIRIMU.

Fake doctor James Mugo Ndichu alias Mugo Wa Wairimu has been exposed multiple times for abusing patients at his clinic.

Mugo was first exposed as a quack in a Citizen TV exposé which lead to his arrest in September 10th 2015. The investigative piece showed how the quack sedated and raped female patients at his Prestige Clinic which was located in Githurai 44.

Yet again in 2018, NTV exposed Mugo for abusing patients. The fake doctor opened a new clinic in Kayole after he was released on bail, he operated the clinic without following any medical regulations.

Mother’s defense

Mugo is now a wanted fugitive, he went underground after NTV exposed him. A special task force has been formed by the police to trail him and bring him to book.

The quack’s mother however still defends her son, Regina Wairimu Ndichu said he is proud of Mugo despite everything he has done.

“He is my son, of whom I am proud. Even if you came with a big gun and asked me to deny him, I would die defending him,” Mugo’s mother told Nation.

She also stressed that Mugo is not a quack, she reveals that her son graduated from University of Nairobi in December 2000.

“There are lies about my son. They said he did not study at the University, yet we attended his graduation on December, 10, 2000. He graduated from the Medical School at the University of Nairobi,” she said, revealing pictures of his graduation and party.”

 

 

 

Caroline Mutoko believes women should blame themselves first regarding Mugo Wairimu’s case

Former radio presenter Caroline Mutoko has shared how quack doctor Mugo Wairimu manages to lure women into his trap.

The man was yet again exposed for being a quack doctor and rapping his clients. According to Mutoko, women should start by blaming themselves for this because they keep referring the doctor to their friends.

“A lot of us would take an OB-GYN (obstetrics and gynaecology) on referral just as we do on hair, nails and purchases. Women work on referrals. We don’t believe in our decisions. We don’t investigate, we don’t trust ourselves,” she stated.

Shunned

She also went on to add that women were being exploited by the doctor because they have been conditioned to stay silent no matter what happens to them.

“Even if I go there and I don’t like it, I don’t want to say; “I didn’t like your guy” since I don’t want to offend my friend. Questioning is frowned upon, having an alternative opinion is frowned on, we should start having a voice.” she said. 

Mutoko added that women are their own worst enemies because they are shunned by fellow women when they try to open up.

Fake doctor Mugo Wa Wairimu risks being thrown behind bars as court threatens to cancel bail

Mugo Wa Wairimu was arrested on September 10th 2015, his case has been dragging in court to date. The quack sparked public uproar after a video footage showed him raping a female patient at his clinic.

Citizen TV’s exposé highlighted how Mugo sedated and raped female patients at his Prestige Clinic. The investigative led to the arrest of the quack who is now out on bail.

The court however is threatening to cancel Mugo’s bail. Nairobi Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi on Wednesday June 6th 2018 ordered that the fake doctor should be presented in court failure which he will cancel his bail.

The defendant’s lawyers told the court that Muga Wa Wairimu skipped the court hearing because he had been put on bed rest after being involved in a road accident on May 26th 2018.

The court further directed the fake doctor should also avail medical documents when he appears in court on Wednesday June 6th 2018.
