Jaguar has confirmed the Range Rover that knocked and killed Joseph Maingi and Mugo Abdalla is his. The wannabe Starehe MP sent his sincere condolence to the families of the deceased.

Jaguar assured them that the law will take its course and that the matter will be resolved amicably. (It’s not clear whether he meant compensating the families of the deceased when he said the matter will be solved amicably.)

“It is with grief that I share this post today. As it is now public, I was involved in a car accident. Sadly, lives were lost in the incident. It isn’t any ones will to wake up and be involved in an accident such as this. My heart felt condolences to the families and friends of those affected. I would like to assure all concerned that due process of the law is being followed to amicably resolve this. I pray God grant strength to the families affected as we all go through this trying moment. Lastly, lets avoid confrontational remarks in consideration to the pain it is causing the bereaved families. Be well,” Jaguar wrote.

Breaking: Jaguar’s Range Rover allegedly hit and killed two young men(Photos)

He’s currently busy selling his face and name to the Starehe Constituency electorate in a bid to represent them in Parliament come elections. But even as he’s trying to sell his manifesto, a scandal comes calling

Jaguar, a musician, philanthropist, social activist, President Uhuru’s friend and general celebrity has been thrown into a nasty scandal that may well derail or puncture his bid to represent the people of Starehe In Parliament.

According to a reputable post on Facebook, shared by one Jackson Njeru, the Founder of Facebook Group Buyer Beware, Jaguar’s Range Rover , registration number was involved in a fatal car accident a few days ago and Jaguar is at the centre of it all.

According to the Facebook post, Jaguar’s Range Rover was along the Makutano Sagana Road when it hit two Boda Boda riders, knocked them off the road, sent them flying to the other side and killed them at the spot.

Exactly who the driver was at the time is unclear. In the Facebook post, it is alleged that the high-maintainance car was being driven by a lady ….who it has been established was Jaguars friend.

But after the lady hit the two men on a motorbike, she eventually parked the car by the roadside and then called Jaguar who then showed up and attempted to deviate the truth regarding the accident.

According to the Facebook post, the moment Jaguar showed up, he started claiming that HE was the driver of the Range Rover while witnesses around the area vowed that the car was being driven by A LADY and NOT Jaguar.

And when the parents of one of the men who was KILLED by the careless female driver, who its alleged was flouting traffic rules on the congested Sagana route when the accident happened, paid a visit to the Sagana Police Station, they were told that they needed to come back with witnesses.

And that was the same story when the brother to one of the deceased visited the Station in a bid to investigate more on the death of his brother.

We have the photos of the said Range Rover with the right side of the car mangled and showing signs of a car crash .

And also photos of Jaguar posing next to the SAME car in a past photo.

Our constant calls to Jaguar to get his side of the story on the matter have all gone unanswered.

Here is the post that first appeared on Buyer Beware with photo evidence that it was indeed Jaguar’s car in the accident:

Yesterday around 3pm, along Makutano Sagana high way two young men, Joseph Maingi and Mugo Abdalla lost their lives. They were hit by a vehicle, a range rover sport, registration number KCB 808 J. The eye witness says that the driver was a lady who stopped few metres from the scene. The road is under construction, so the vehicles needed blocking to pave way for other road users and still give time to the constructors. The driver of the said Range rover did not wait in line for cars to be cleared from her side, she was from Sagana heading to Makutano while the two were heading to Sagana. That’s when she hit the duo, who were almost joining the highway.

The ‘boda boda they were using went to one side, while the two young men fell on the other side. They both died on the spot. Jaguar, the alleged owner of the vehicle came around 3.30 and said he was the one driving the vehicle, even though the eye witnesses saw the lady driving it. The policemen from Rukanga police post alerted their counterparts from Sagana who towed the vehicle away. The lady plus Jaguar left for Sagana police station. Later on, the parents to Mugo went to Sagana police station. They were denied the chance to see the vehicle that took away the life of their son. They were told to come with their eye witnesses. Today morning, Kamau, a brother to Maingi went to Sagana Police Station. He was denied a chance to see the vehicle too. He was told they haven’t found the owner of the vehicle. What has changed from yesterday? From the eye witnesses, we managed to get the photos of the car that hit them.

Jaguar’s entry into the Starehe Constituency Race complicates matters for Steve Mbogo, Maina Kamanda and Boniface Mwangi

Popular Kenyan Musician Charles Njagua Kanyi aka Jaguar has declared his interest to vie for the Starehe constituency come August 8 in the general elections.

Jaguar who is a personal friend to President Uhuru Kenyatta was appointed as a board member at the National Authority for Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) in 2015.A position which he resigned later last month due to personal reasons.

Jaguar’s entry into the the Stare MP race will see him face some popular names like activist Boniface Mwangi, city business man Steve Mbogo and the incumbent MP Maina Kamanda. Mwangi will be vying on the recently launched Ukweli party , Steve Mbogo on an ODM ticket whereas Jaguar and Maina Kamanda will be using the Jubilee party ticket. Close sources told us that local leaders from Starehe constituency approached Jaguar to represent their people in the coming elections since he had proved that he can do it through his various community projects. Area residents believe that he can extend his good deeds when elected as their political leader.

Through the Jaguar foundation, he has been able to empower the youth in various part of the city like donating Car washing machines, cleaning various parts of the city, building bridges, giving out foodstuff to women and empowering the local youth groups especially in the Mukuru slums. Such projects have won many hearts of the Starehe residents which gives the former NACADA director a upper hand in the race.

Starehe residents say that they need someone who can represent their needs in Parliament and not someone who will be fighting the government using the same position. Sources from the ground also said that the residents need a leader who will represent all the tribes and not someone who will be vying on tribal basis which makes Jaguar a favorite among the rest in clinching the seat come August 8 when the general elections will be held. Jaguar being a youth and his closeness to the president and his deputy definitely makes his bid to be an easier one.

We wish him all the best.

“People will fill up at Jaguar’s rallies just to hear him sing but come election morning mtaona kijivumbi nyinyi!” City socialite warns Jaguar after he announced bid to vie

Jaguar has officially joined the race for Starehe parliamentary seat; he’s contesting against incumbent Maina Kamanda, Boniface Mwangi and Steve Mbogo.

Jaguar sparked speculation that he was warming up to join politics when he recently resigned from his job at the drug-fighting agency – Nacada.

Jaguar in his campaign trail

President Uhuru Kenyatta blocked Jaguar’s resignation from Nacada in 2015 when the singer threatened to leave. Jaguar, a close ally of Uhuru, is perceived to have the president’s ‘blessings’ for his bid in Starehe constituency.

But some critics still believe Jaguar will suffer the fate of KJ, Ringtone, Mdomo Baggy and other celebrities who lost when they ran for elective positions.

City socialite Elizabeth Irungu says Jaguar will drop “kigeugeu” remix part 2 to demonstrate how the electorates betrayed him when he loses Starehe parliamentary seat.

Elizabeth Irungu

Ms Irungu is confident Jaguar will lose the election by early in the morning.

“Our dear Jaguar the Kenyan music star and Boniface Mwangi the activist, will soon realize that politics is not music or a street to demonstrate on! eeeeeh ni poa kujaribu but I tell u,people will fill up at Jaguar’s rallies just to hear him sing but come election morning mtaona kijivumbi nyinyi! Jaguar ata release “kigeu geu” remix part 2 ni vile amegeukwa! Uliza akina Mudomo Baggy na KJ vile walifanywa! Raia ni comedy walikuwa wanaenda kujisikilia kwa rally zao, wacheke wafurahii warudi home!!! Na Pius Muiru je? Stadium zilikuwa zinafura na watu! Akiona crowd anachocheka yake yote na kumbe ni mahubiri yake wamekujia!!! No I don’t mean disrespect here ni reality check tu! I come in peace but YOU JUST GO KNOWING SIASA IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT BALL GAME!!!” Elizabeth Irungu wrote.

Jaguar sues Uhuru’s government after resigning from NACADA

Charles Kanyi, popularly known as Jaguar worked for the government for three years before he quit, he has now moved to court to sue a government agency.

The singer recently resigned as a board member of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) for personal reasons.

Jaguar has moved to court seeking to compel the National Transport and Safety Authority – NTSA to use alcohol tracking gadgets that can also test drugs. He said drug abuse contributes to road accidents.

Jaguar claims the spate of drivers causing accident on the roads is as a result of the government’s failure to come up with effective drug policy.

Jaguar believes the carnage on Kenyan roads can only be controlled if all drivers are screened, the reason why he wants NTSA to be compelled to come up with effective policy.

“It is common knowledge that the war on accidents and general drug use has failed to have a lasting effect and the use is now prevalent t the extent of school going children being influenced and becoming slaves and addicts,” Jaguar said.

This is why Jaguar resigned from his powerful government job that Uhuru gave him

After numerous times of threatening to do so, Jaguar has finally resigned as a Nacada board member.

He handed over his resignation today after serving at the helm of the body for a cool 3 years. This is what he posted immediately after resigning:

I would like to tender my resignation as a Board Member of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) effective immediately due to personal reasons,” he said.

Initially he has always threatened to leave if the government and especially the minister for interior security did nothing to end massive graft in the body.

Serving as a NACADA Board Member has been a fulfilling learning experience and deeply appreciate all the cooperation from the Board, management and staff in the campaign against alcohol and drug abuse.”Thank you for the privilege to serve Kenyans.” He finished off his announcement.

And why did he leave such a privileged post? Well just for personal reasons he made it clear though rumour is rife that he’s seriously looking to get into elective politics.

Ghafla wishes him well in his new endeavours.

Singer Jaguar showers his little man with praises

Singer Jaguar must be really proud of his son. Lately Jaguar life seems to be revolving around his young man, who is not only cute  but very fashionable like his dad.

The recent photo he shared of the boy, Jaguar captioned it God given describing how he feels about his son.

The toddler is the spitting image of his famous daddy. And much as they look like ‘doubles’Jaguar is proving to be an amazing father to his son and daughters, though the girls have been behind the scenes for a while now.

Anyway, we cannot blame the singer for always wanting to flaunt his son on his social media. He however refuses to disclose the boy’s mum and this has always been the case when it comes to singer Jaguar and Octopizzo who are currently among the wealthiest artistes in East Africa.

Just like Akothee, Jaguar finds himself in an awkward position as he is forced to vie for a parliamentary seat

He wines and dines with the bigwigs within the Kenyan political circles, and now he has been forced to join the club.

Jaguar has access to the highest office in the land; President Uhuru Kenyatta and him are buddies. The ‘Warrior’ singer also rubs shoulders with other politicians likes Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko among others.

Jaguar’s association with politicians has sparked speculations that the singer is joining active politics to run for an elective seat in August 8th polls.

A campaign poster alleging that Jaguar is vying for Starehe parliamentary seat on a Jubilee ticket has gone viral on social media.

Someone is obviously forcing Jaguar to vie for Starehe parliamentary seat; the singer hasn’t revealed his intentions to join active politics.

Jaguar isn’t the first musician to be forced to join politics against their wish, a few months ago Akothee was ranting after a campaign poster alleging that she was vying for Migori Woman Rep went viral.

Jaguar offers financial help to the daughter of deceased music legend… But not before he bought himself a brand new 2017 Mercedes

New year, new car! Kenya’s arguably richest male musician has acquired top of the range 2017 Mercedes Benz.

Apart from buying new rides, the “Huu Mwaka” hit maker is also continuing with his philanthropic work; he revealed he was supporting the education of Poxi Presha’s daughter.

Jaguar disclosed that the late Poxi Presha played an instrumental role in nurturing his talent when he was still struggling to make a mark in Kenyan music industry.

“Talking of my Music career success without mentioning one Poxi Presha of the Otonglo Time hit song will be a big blunder, I know most of you are probably asking who he is.”

“When I finished my high school studies , I came to Nairobi to hustle whereby I landed a job of cleaning a chemist in Umoja Estate which happened to be Proxi Presha’s home . So One day going about my work, Poxi came to the Chemist where I was working and found me listening to one of my songs. I was very shocked when he requested me to rewind the song which I was listening to . Those days Poxi was a household name in Kenya, after listening to my song unfortunately he did not like it.”

“I remember him telling me that ”As long as you are making steps to improve every day, you will eventually be one of the best out there” His statement motivated me to go back to the studio and recorded a new song which enabled me to perform alongside him in Embu the same year which was a big milestone in my career.”

“In 2005, Poxi Presha became sick which was a big blow to his career and the Kenyan Music Industry as he was a vivid anti-Piracy activist .Working in a chemist prompted me to request my boss to deduct my salary for the sake of Poxi’s Medication since he had helped me a lot in my Musical journey. Unfortunately after the struggle with tuberculosis, Poxi passed away.”

“Poxi left behind a widow and a daughter whom I then vowed to help achieve her dreams especially supporting her education. Today I can say that I’m a proud man because the daughter will be joining Kisumu National Girls High School after passing very well in her KCPE Exams. Today we did her shopping,” Jaguar narrated.
