Holy Dave Wins Online Chef Of The Year Award, Dedicates It To Fans

Kenyan food content creator Holy Dave has won the Online Chef of the Year award at the inaugural Creative Hustlers Awards.

In his acceptance speech, Holy Dave thanked his fans for their unwavering support and dedicated the award to them. He also stressed that his journey began as a means to inspire others, regardless of their skill level.

“I didn’t win this because I’m the best chef online, actually I’m not even a chef. I’m just an average guy inspiring the average guy to jump in the kitchen,” he said.

Holy Dave’s culinary journey started unexpectedly when he recorded and shared a meal preparation video during the COVID-19 lockdown in March 2020. His passion for cooking was further ignited by his mother’s encouragement to pursue baking. Over time, he continued to create content that resonated with his audience, both online and offline.

“Something that started as a joke the other day during the pandemic is now becoming a source of inspiration and entertainment both online and offline,” he remarked.

Holy Dave’s victory is a testament to his creativity, passion, and dedication. It is also a reminder that anyone can achieve their dreams, regardless of their background or experience.

Churchill used to bully me akinyemelea siter wangu -Holy Dave reveals

Of all the ‘bro-codes’ that seasoned Kenyan comedian Churchill broke, hitting on one of the rapper Holy Dave’s four sisters was the one that got Holy Dave the most upset.

Holy Dave, who ended his music career and has since devoted himself to content creation, has claimed he was never happy with Churchill seducing his well-known sister Joey Muthengi.

Holy Dave claims that this occurred many years ago when their family relocated from the United States to Kenya.

“We came back in the 90s and went straight to live in Machakos before later relocating to Nairobi. I remember at the time Churchill was in high school and together with one of my elder sister they attended the same school. So he would come to our home and whenever the watchman stopped him he would ask to see me. Churchill would then send me to call my sister. He would tell me ‘you fool, go call me your sister’.”

Holy Dave claimed that he dislikes it when his close friends make advances toward his sisters, especially the youngest Joey Muthengi, with whom he shares a tight bond.

“I honestly don’t know why? It’s not even about just me but rather guys in general. I can’t explain it but its feels weird when you friend is hitting on your sister. I would feel uncomfortable whenever my friends seduced my sister. It’s even worse when he is your close friend. It feels like it’s you he is seducing, because you know how he rolls. Both his good and bad side.”

Holy Dave Speaks Out About Bar Fight

Kenyan artist Holy Dave has spoken out for the first time about the bar fight that he was involved in last October. In an interview with Massawe Japanni, Dave said that the fight was a minor disagreement that was exaggerated after the other person realized he was a celebrity.

Dave said that he was at a bar with some friends when a man who he did not know approached them. The man was drunk and almost fell on Dave’s friends, so Dave’s security guard intervened. The man’s brother then started attacking Dave, and a fight broke out.

Dave said that he did not use a bottle to attack the man, but that the man was injured by a glass that Dave was holding. Dave said that he did not want to press charges against the man, but that the man demanded money from him. Dave eventually paid the man 150,000 shillings to avoid going to court.

Dave said that the fight has had a negative impact on his career. He said that he lost some deals after the fight, and that some brands have asked him directly about the incident. Dave said that he believes that God is using this experience to teach him to behave himself.

Dave said that he has increased his security since the fight in order to protect his brand. He said that he wants to focus on his music and his career, and that he does not want to be involved in any more fights.

Here are some additional details from the interview:

  • The fight took place at a bar in Kilimani, Nairobi.
  • Dave said that he was with a group of friends at the time of the fight.
  • The man who attacked Dave was also with a group of friends.
  • The fight lasted for about 15 seconds.
  • Dave said that he did not sustain any injuries in the fight.
  • The man who attacked Dave was taken to the hospital for treatment.
  • Dave said that he has not been in contact with the man since the fight.

Dave’s story is a reminder that even celebrities are not immune to violence. It is important to be aware of your surroundings and to take steps to protect yourself, especially when you are in a public place.

Holy Dave’s new jam ‘Tia Bidii Zidi’ will give you the encouragement that you really need (Video)

Gospel singer David Muthengi, better known as Holy Dave and famed for his reason mega hit Reason alongside Eko Dydda, has dropped a new jam and it’s totally worth your time.

The song titled Tia Bidii Zidi urges people to give their best and not to feel discouraged when things seem impossible because God is always with us.

In the song, Holy Dave also encourages people who have not found partners for one reason or the other not to worry because their time will definitely come.

I really love this song. Apart from the powerful message that it carries, I also like how it’s arranged. Holy Dave proves that he’s still got it after being in the game for a decade or so. We just cant wish him away.

His vocals in this song are also on point. To add to that, he still has the dope wordplay that we came to know him for and that’s not a bad thing.

The beat and instrumentation is also on point. I have been listening to this song on replay since it was released and I am not about to get bored with it.

Cannibal Shattah has dropped his second gospel song dubbed ‘Sitokukana’ and we love it (Video)

For one reason or the other, I am yet to come to terms with the fact that Ralph Sanda Masai, popularly known as Cannibal Shattah, is a gospel singer.

Everytime I see or hear his name, songs such as Kichwa Kibov, Street Hustler and My Reason come to my mind almost immediately. I can’t help it.

Cannibal Shattah

Roughly two years ago, Cannibal left his fans astounded when he revealed that he had gotten saved. He also quit alcohol and partying.

Interestingly though, the Coast-based rapper expalained that his decsion to get saved was because his opponents used witchcraft against him when he vied for the MCA seat in Mtopanga Ward in the 2017 General Election.

But that’s a story for another day ladies and gentlemen.

After seeing the light, Cannibal dropped his first gospel song dubbed Mapenzi featuring an artist by the name D Sense.

He also featured in the Kwanii Remix featuring Weezdom, DJ Sadic, Kris Erroh, Holy Dave, Stonee Jiwe.

Not much had been heard about him since then. Just when were beginning to think that Cannibal had gone back to doing secular music, he pulled a surprise on us and released a new gospel song Sitokukana.

Sitokukana is a Swahili word that means ‘I won’t deny you’. Just as the name suggests, the song is about praising the man above for the things that he has done in your life.

Although I’m still getting used to the idea of Cannibal as a gospel singer, I think he really did a great job on this jam.

He still raps in the same way that he did when he was a secular musician, the only thing that has changed is what he is rapping about.

I think Cannibal can make headways as a gospel artist if he’s consistent with his music. Keep an eye out for him!

Watch Sitokukana here and tell us what you think.
