The jam dubbed Nakupenda, which is a Swahili word that means I love you, has been ruling the airwaves since it was released a few days ago and understandably so.

Basically, this track is about a couple that has fallen out for one reason or the other and the chap is trying to convince his partner to listen to ‘outside forces’ because they only want to destroy them.

Kidum goes on to reassure her that he still loves her, adding that he’s willing to do anything to get back to where they before people tried to divide them.

I absolutely love this jam. It’s such a beautiful composition and I know that you will agree with me after listening to it because it’s so infectious.

The other thing that I love about Nakupenda is of course Kidum’s melodious voice. The fact that it’s a bit hoarse with a hint of his Burundi accent is the icing on the cake.

The beat and instrumentation on this jam are impeccable. Perhaps they are the reason why I can’t stop listening to it because they blend perfectly with Kidum’s style and tempo.

The video is also on point because it has some dope shots. To add to that, the styling and scene transitioning was also really good.

The jam dubbed Kesi – which is a Swahili word that means case – has been ruling the airwaves since it came out a few days ago an to be honest, we also love it.

Kesi is the fifth single off King Kaka’s upcoming mixtape titled The Servant & The King and it talks about conflicts in relationships. In many instances, they arise when either the man or woman develop an interest in someone else.

I totally love this jam. If you ask me, it has all the elements of being a hit. It is those kind of songs that you will retain in your playlist for many weeks or even months.

King Kaka’s delivery on this song is impeccable. Apart from having a good flow, I’m sure you’ll agree with me that his ability to play around with words is unmatched. You just want too keep listening to him as he rhymes.

Kelechi Africana

Notably, Kelechi Africana also did a good job on Kesi. Maybe, just maybe he is the reason why this song slaps so hard because he did justice to the chorus with his melodious voice.

I totally love the mellow beat. It blends well with the voices and tempo of King Kaka and Kelechi so much so that you can listen to this song on replay for a whole day and not get bored with it. Good work Ihaji.

The video concept for this jam is dope. Other than the shoot location, I also loved the set up, styling and of course the flawless scene transitioning.

The song titled The Way You Are has been topping local charts since it was released a few days ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it. Like, really!

Basically, this jam is meant to inspire confidence in ladies and to get them to appreciate themselves as they are since God created them in his own image.

Notably, many ladies have self esteem issues because of their skin tones, body shapes, backgrounds and whatnot and Otile says that they should not undergo procedures or bleach so as to be loved and/or accepted.

He goes on to say that someone who doesn’t appreciate you the way you are will not change his or her mind because you bleached your skin or got some implants.

Although some people are saying that this is a direct jab at his ex girlfriend Vera Sidika, I love the fact that Otile took it upon himself to boost ladies’ self esteem and let them know that they are more than perfect.

Otile Brown and Vera Sidika

As expected, the Alivyonipenda hitmaker brought his A-game on this jam. The way he sings, you can tell that what he is saying comes from his heart.

The beat on and instrumentation on this track are very catchy and perhaps it has a lot to do with the fact that it has a hint of Taraab. The producer, Ihaji, did an impeccable job.

I also loved the video. One of the things that I loved was the diversity of the models. There was a lady with vitiligo, an albino, dark as well as light skinned ladies and it really drove the point home.
