This all came up after a little feud between the singer and his fans, after they threw a bottle at him during a performance in Lugogo. The singer was accused of not supporting the population and siding with the president of Uganda. This is evidenced by his appearance  among the Tubonga Nawe musicians who campaigned for Museveni. “Bobi Wine has No head or Chest or Bone Fractures,”President Museveni warns the Fake News generation

President Museveni has finally spoken about the status of Bobi Wine, the member of parliament that was arrested in Arua last week. He refers to the various media reports as Fake News. He says The singer/ MP has no head, chest, or bone injuries. Reads Below

PRESIDENT’S STATEMENT ON BOBI WINE

Countrymen, Countrywomen and especially, the Bazukulu.

Greetings. Some days have gone by while what President Trump calls “fake news” generators, especially the Monitor and their TV, the NTV, have been putting it out that our grandson, the indisciplined Bobi Wine, is gravelly ill, he cannot talk etc.

They were putting it out that because of their “rough” handling of the MPs while arresting them, the Security forces could have done grievous damage to Bobi Wine.

I decided to check with Army doctors because, being a disciplined Army, UPDF doctors always take precautions in such situations. Bobi Wine had already been seen by doctors in Arua, Gulu and Kampala. He has no head or chest injuries or bone fractures, they informed me.

The fake news generators and even some of the elements of the Security forces are concentrating on the stoning of the President’s car. Please, that is not the most serious problem here. That President has the capacity, either alone or in company with his personal security, to defend himself, not only against stone throwers but against any attacker.

I have done that for the last 48 years. I defended myself against Amin’s soldiers on the 22nd of January, 1973, in Mbale, against the Kenyan policeman Patrick Shaw in Nairobi in 1978, against Tabuley near Atiriri in 2003 etc etc.

The biggest problem is political leaders like Kassiano Wadri and Bobi Wine forming, or allowing indisciplined groups to be formed under the cover of elections, groups that form illegal processions in built-up and heavily populated areas, carrying stones, up-rooting side walk pavers to use as missiles, to attack defenceless women, children and other civilians.

So many women and children were similarly attacked in Jinja East, Bugiri Municipality and, now, Arua Municipality. The Police will produce detailed evidence in all those incidents. Women were raped in Jinja East and Arua Municipality. Verbal threats followed by actual attacks. This is what is called terrorism in my opinion.

All this is aimed at intimidating the majority NRM voters from turning up to vote so that the minority can win. This is on top of importing voters from other areas to vote in Jinja East, Bugiri Municipality, Arua Municipality etc. The evidence is overwhelming and it will be produced in court.

During the General Elections, it is not feasible for the opposition to use too much of these fascist tactics because voting is taking place everywhere and they are too few.

In Kampala, however, they have been doing it for a long time. Indeed, in Arua, Jinja East and Bugiri Municipality, they succeeded because the majority feared to turn up for voting. In Arua Municipality only 16,000 people out of 46,000 people turned out to vote!!

What does this mean for the pseudo-democrats of the so called “Civil Societies”, by which they mean agents of foreign Governments? How can you call this democracy when People fear to turn out to vote?

We fought for the freedom of the people of Uganda to vote freely without threats by word or action. We shall defend that. We recently had LCI and Women Council elections per village in 54,713 villages out of the total of 60,774 villages in the whole of Uganda, by lining up behind candidates.

No cheating, no violence because the People were in charge, not the corrupt election officials, colluding with opportunistic and corrupt politicians to usurp the authority of the People by having individuals elected by cheating or intimidation against the wishes of the People.

Pseudo-democrats, be informed that the game of trying to hijack our democracy by fascists and foreign agents is over. We shall not tolerate any threats by words or by actions. Enough is enough. Media houses should also stand warned. Do your mandate: balanced reporting.

These last points:
One. Throwing of stones, in close proximity in built up areas, is intention to kill. Remember, a policeman by the names of Ariong John Michael (Assistant Inspector of Police) was killed in Kampala near the Old Taxi Park by a stone thrown by those indisciplined people. How about the NRM supporters, ordinary people, who are made targets of those stones as happened in Arua, Bugiri etc?

Barbie Kyagulanyi has been concerned about her Husband’s health

Two. The indiscipline of some of these Opposition MPs was displayed in Parliament during the Age Limit debate. Instead, of arguments and logic, they attacked other MPs, threw chairs, up-rooted microphones etc. This was in Parliament with cameras and everybody watching. How about the negative results when they transfer that indiscipline to the streets and built up areas?

Three. Apart from the many injured, the property destroyed, the failure of 70% of the electorate in Arua turning up to vote because of fear of violence, the raping of women in Jinja East and Arua, we have already lost two young people, killed, in Bugiri and Arua, in the violence. The precipitaters of this will not be allowed anymore latitude of damage.

Anybody who is a friend of the young politicians like Bobi Wine should advise them that short cuts like cheating, importing voters, intimidating the voters of the other side, ballot stuffing etc will lead them and Uganda to doom. That is what the young politicians of independence thought and did and it led to disaster.

Even some of the NRM young politicians, I hear, try to emulate those evil practices of cheating. However, for them, they do not use violence. I will uproot those evils. A revolutionary politician is like a mulokole- no cheating, no lying. No killing prisoners. No mistreatment of prisoners. That is how we succeeded.

Yoweri Kaguta Museveni
President.

THE TWO EXCHANGE GIFTS

Ahmed was honored in various ways, one of them is being awarded the highest accolade; The Pearl of Africa grand master medal at the celebration of the International Heroes day. Before he left the country, they shared gifts with the president, one of them being a designer jacket.

“Before his departure from Uganda, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and I exchanged gifts at State House Entebbe. I thank him for the colorful jacket. Thank you for coming, Dr. Abiy

No Hoodies! Says President Museveni

One of the things that has come as a shock to the country is the death of Arua Municipality Member of Parliament, Ibrahim Abiriga. He was shot next to his home, bu unknown gun men, who were apparently on a boda-boda. Abiriga’s bodyguard and brother, Saidi Kongo Bugawas also caught up in this incident, and lost his life. During the burial, in Lukudu Village, the president made known to the crowd that hoodies will be banned, since it is the major technique being used by assailants to commit crimes nowadays.

The president addressing mourners in Arua

“Those who killed Abiriga are using a simple technique of putting on a jacket with a hood…So we had a security meeting the other day, and I asked the security people; why do you allow these people to move with hoods?’ So we’re going to ban covering of your head when you’re driving…For the helmets, we’re going to require all of them to acquire new helmets with numbers at the back and those numbers must be shining at night. So no more hoods…” Museveni mentioned.

The president also said that various laws will be made against people who make noise on radio and social media. I guess we have to throw away all our hooded sweaters.

President Museveni Earns 3.6 Million monthly?

The labor day celebrations were celebrated at Sembabule district, and president Museveni made a speech that still has everybody  fascinated. He commented about the recent incident of doctors striking over salary increments and improvement of their working conditions. With this, the president revealed his salary to us, as 3.6 million

“A doctor who goes on strike is an enemy of the people and he should be treated as such. I don’t want to hear that nonsense. In fact when doctors went on strike I wanted to go back to the bush but I was restrained” he mentioned. Following this, he mentioned that he is in total support of a move to bring Cuban Doctors, because Ugandan ones behave unprofessionally.

The president of Uganda
UNGRATEFUL CIVIL SERVANTS

The president was also not pleased by complaints by civil servants, regardless of the fact that they earn a large amount.

“I heard some people talking nonsense ‘if you increase the salary of the science teacher, me the headmaster, I will get a smaller pay than the salary of the science teacher. Now that is very bad for my status.’ That is his problem, status. I am the president of Uganda, I get a low pay. I get Shs 3.6 million and even the Shs 3.6 million I accepted it in 1996 because the MPs tricked me.

I was getting Shs 150,000 from 1986 to 1996…There are some public servants who get Shs 40 million, Shs 50 million but you try to challenge my authority, you will see. Authority doesn’t depend on salary, I have a low pay but I am the president of Uganda.”

The president is advising us to appreciate the money we earn.

Preach forgiveness like Jesus forgave those who crucified him- Museveni

After a year marred with bloodshed, parliamentary fights and “togikwatako’ chants, President Museveni came out to address religious leaders who have taken it upon themselves to show which side they belong.

While attending prayers to mark the beginning of the New year at Rubindi Catholic Church in Kashaari, Mbarara, Museveni  applauded the leadership of the Catholic church in the parish for being foresighted.

“I respect clergy whose teaching is line with that of Jesus that emphasises honesty as opposed to hypocrisy. We should also preach forgiveness because Jesus even forgave those who crucified him.” he said.

According to the president, religious leaders commend for promoting religious unity and tolerance that has nurtured harmony and development in their respective areas.

“All religious leaders should join the Government in fighting household poverty. A laity that’s economically empowered will be in a position to support religious institutions and pay tax to government, easing the work of these institutions.”
