“Your game is dead!” Fan tells Jua Cali who hits back with a savage response

Jua Cali is among the pioneers of Genge Tone. Back in the early 2000’s together with Nonini and other artists managed to change and take Kenyan music to the next level and there is no debate about this.

However since music changes with age – some of his fans feel that Jua Cali should retire; and create space for the young upcoming artists.

This is apparently after working with Ethic who took over the music industry back in 2019 with the new vibe.

So far we understand that he has a full album with these young musicians; but the problem comes in when fans demand something totally different but Jua Cali insists on doing otherwise.

Well, in a series of tweets seen by Ghafla one fan by the name of Phero254 told Jua Cali that he (the fan) stopped listening to his music the moment to started featuring kids in his music. He wrote;

Renowned Homeboyz Radio presenter, Tallia Oyando and veteran rapper, Prezzo have been friends for a long time now, having met back when they were both teens and artists.

I used to take some things for granted like walking with a bounce on your step and having a good day or a good night´s sleep, or having the ability to smile without feeling guilty. These are the pages of my life.

Mark your calendar because the 14th of February 2020, may either make or break the hearts of women on the Kenyan land.

The popular date ´Valentine´s day´, that globally appreciates love between couples, will be celebrated differently by Kenyan men, this time around.

The men of this country have slotted in a Men´s Conference that will grace keynote speakers, among them, vocal media ethics´ chiefwhip, Ezekiel Mutua.

Describing the current local situation, the KFCB Boss who honored an invite to grace the event, highlighted:

We must “rescue men” and guide them to be men in their homes and areas of influence. One of the sub-themes at the proposed conference is “Gather All, Scatter None”. We shall teach men how to love their wives and provide for their families.

The moral cop decried the shrinking recognition of the boy child in Kenya. Condemning the heavy adoption of Western culture that has seen men lose meaning in an African family setting.

Former Elgeyo Marakwet county assembly speaker, Albert Kochei, will moderate the event.

Key public figures, businessmen and church leaders will be in attendance.

Finland-based Kenyan singer, Sylvia Barasa alias Rawbeena has returned and she opens up on her toxic friendship with KTN TV host, Chero, that saw them split.

The two have been known long-term friends but their crude split was a blow. According to Rawbeena, she financed Chero´s flashy lifestyle but was taken for granted.

Up and close with Mpasho, the Kenyan songbird explained how it all hit rock-bottom.

People who knew me to know that I was close to her. It reached a point there was so much madharau and I despised them and decided to move on with my life especially when I realized I was losing a lot of stuff and a lot of property. I really work so hard so when someone take me for granted I do not like it. I don´t do promiscuity, I have kids who look up to me.

Further revealing that indeed Chero no longer has access to the singer´s social media accounts.

Yes, she is blocked from all my social media pages. I feel like if it´s not respectful, forget about it. If it´s making you lose yourself, forget about it. People who know me know what I entertain and what I don´t.

Just to clarify, Rawbeena stated that she has no ill-intentions on the media personality.

It´s not about speaking badly about her. People who were close to me and Chero knew what we were doing. It however, reached a point we had to go to the police.

Managing

To put across the reality, the ´Romantic´ singer disclosed that Chero was not her manager, in reality, it was the other way round, Rawbeena managed Chero.

Contrary to what people believe, Chero was not my manager rather, I was managing her brand, cleaning her up. There was a time the lies and the disrespect became too much.

Unfortunately, it did not last long.

After 2 years of being friends, there was no development. There was a time I was here for 6 months and I intentionally said I did not have enough cash to use while here and that is when madharau started. Her sister even started abusing me. The last time I spoke to her, I told her she was forgiven.

Rawbeena however admitted that Chero played a key role in her life but enough was enough and they had to part ways.

She did a lot for me but it got to a point where nilimchukia na nikamdharau. Chero tried to evict me from a house I paid for. One of her friends told me to leave that I was being negative energy. Luckily for me, I had payment slips to prove that I was the owner.

Rawbeena is back in the country to promote her latest hit ¨Kiboko¨ but for her, things ended and nothing can mend the broken paths.

We are never going to patch things up. People would even despise me if I did that. It´s not that I hate her but the friendship was toxic.

Dudu baya banned from releasing new music by BASATA

Tanzanian singer Dudu Baya will no longer be releasing any new music as instructed by Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa (BASATA; Swahili for National Arts Council.)

In a report seen by Ghafla, BASATA had asked Dudu Baya to visit their offices hoping to look into a vulgar video he shared on social media this past Sunday that left some of his fans feeling quite angry.

Apparently Dudu Baya’s biggest mistake was going against some of the online rules issued in Tanzania like using vulgar words and threats on social media – something that has now left him jobless.
