Gospel singer Bahati proposed to his beautiful wife again, he surprised Diana Marua with a new engagement ring during a jump off concert at Thika stadium.
Bahati’s proposal raised eyebrows because he is already a married man, he married his wife Diana Marua in a low key traditional wedding that was held in Nairobi on 20th October 2017.
Bahati however explains that he decided to propose to his wife again since nobody saw or heard about his first marriage proposal.
“Everyone knows that Diana and I are an item. Everyone knows that she is my one and only but never has anyone heard or seen me propose to her, something I consider a very important process. A man can do a traditional wedding but one needs to put a ring on it. We are taking a step at a time,” said Bahati during an interview with Pulse.
Such a pricey ring
Apparently Bahati forked out a whopping Kes 270,000 to buy the engagement ring that is on the second finger on Diana Marua’s left hand.

Should gospel artistes perform at nightclubs or not? This is the question that has sparked a heated debate on social media after photos of Bahati performing for women dressed in skimpy outfits surfaced online.
Gospel artistes have always come under sharp criticisms whenever they are seen performing at nightclubs. Willy Paul in particular has a knack of making appearances at nightclubs.
Some argue that gospel musicians perform at nightclubs because their music is meant to inspire revelers to somehow change and give their lives to Christ.
Ratchet performance
Bahati’s performance at a nightclub could be easily mistaken for a scene at Sabina Joy, if you get the drift. Dancers twerked on stage as the gospel singer and his cronies performed.
Some people condemned Bahati when the photos from his club performance leaked online, whereas others simply defended the singer.

Publicity stunt
Bahati also addressed claims that the whole marriage proposal at Thika municipal stadium was stage-managed, he clarified that Diana didn’t know he was going to propose to her again.
“It is funny how some people make fun out of everything. I wasn’t stage-managing this. This was to tell Diana before the whole world that I am all hers and that I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I wanted to clear doubts that we are just dating,” said Bahati.
Diana Marua took to social media to flaunt her new engagement ring after her husband went down on his knee to ask for her hand in marriage again.
“My 2019!!!! THANK YOU GOD FOR THIS MAN @BAHATIKENYA , THE ONE YOU CHOSE FOR ME ✨ TODAY WILL FOREVER BE IN MY HEART. THE RING ?IS BEAUTIFUL ? I LOVE YOU @BAHATIKENYA ❤️ 01.01.2019 ??,” wrote Diana Marua.

Gospel singer Hope Kid has spoken his mind about Willy Paul singing secular and gospel songs at the same time. Speaking during an interview with Mzazi Willy Tuva on Mambo Mseto, Hope Kid refused to refer Willy Paul as a gospel singer saying that he was in between.
“Nachukulia Willy Paul kama msanii, Pozee ni msanii. If he decides today aimbe wimbo inasifu Yesu kabisa ataimba, kesho akiamua aimbe mapenzi ataimba. Na Kenyans the funny thing he is the only person tumekubali akiwa hivyo, and we can’t fight it. As in he is not cold, he is not hot, yeye ni muwarm. Ako hapo katikati. Mimi siwezi sema Pozee ni msanii wa gospel ama secular, nimemuweka tu msanii generally. He can do what he wants because he gets support from every side. Ukikuja kwa kanisa tunapenda Willy tunasema ni wetu, ukipatana na Timmy anasema Willy ni wetu nyi ndo munataka kumchukua,” said Hope Kid.
Message to Pozee
Asked what he would tell Willy Paul if he was listening to him, Hope Kid said that his request and that of many other people is to see Willy Paul go back to singing true gospel songs like ‘Sitolia’.
“The reason why God alishine the light upon your life is because he saw something in you na aliashine hiyo light ukifanya kazi yake, sio hii kazi ingine. So if you can go back to the first love, sisi kama Wakristo utuimbie wimbo ingine kama sitolia tutashukuru sana. Hio ni kilio ya every Christian. So mimi naambia tu Pozee kindugu, Pozee, imba zile nyimbo za Yesu zile zenyewe,” said Hope Kid.
Message to Bahati
Hope Kid also advised Willy Paul and Bahati to stop begging for collaborations from Tanzanian musicians;
“Be wise, when Tanzanians were invading Kenyan market, they didn’t need any Kenyan artiste. So when we want to invade theirs we want to work with them. We are playing ourselves, we have everything it takes.”
Bahati started his own reality show dubbed ‘Being Bahati’ which first aired on NTV on August 19th 2018. The show stars Bahati, his wife Diana Marua and other people involved in the singer’s life.
