‘What a shame. Desperate to sell copies by using my name’ Betty Kyalo calls out Steve Muendo and Pulse Magazine

TV news anchor Betty Kyallo has called out Standard Newspaper’s Pulse Magazine for republishing an interview she did nearly seven months ago to make a story appear fresh.

Pulse Magazine published an article alleging to have spoken to Betty concerning her plans to settle down; seeking her comment on Dennis Okari’s wedding. The piece has been recycled now that the two ex-lovers have been opening up about their new relationships.

Betty took to social media to call out her former employers, saying that they are desperate to sell copies.

“What a shame Pulse Magazine. You used an interview I did 7 months ago just to make a story relevant now. How unprofessional and uncouth. Steve Muendo we did an interview August last year, but in this article you deliberately decided to make it sound like we did the interview recently which is misleading and a lie,. Even fabricated lies about what I said in the last one week just to make a connection to unrelated event. What a shame for a publication like yours. Desperate to sell copies by using my name.” reads part of Betty Kyallo.

Angry

Betty was also angry that some of the photos used were current and Pulse made up a quote that Betty claims never said.

“Some of the pictures You used Were from a recent event I attended, you referred to a trip and supposed relationship that I’ve never discussed with you. I just want to tell the public that I didn’t comment recently on any of the things in this article and that the writer Steve whom I actually considered a friend fabricated a lot of this article. The last time I spoke to the writer was in August 2018 during a previous recorded interview but he’s used that to fabricate a story relevant For now. Just unfortunate and disappointing!” wrote Betty Kyallo.

Kaittany: I used Ksh 40 million to build Posh Palace, Betty Kyalo didn’t contribute a shilling

Susan Kaittany is not stopping any time soon, not until the world understands her enemy, Betty Kyalo, had almost zero impact in building Posh Palace other than just hyping it.

Kaittany spoke with The Star newspaper recently opening up again on their ugly break up which led to the temporary closure of Posh Palace and Kyalo opening her own spa, Flair By Betty.

Kaittany has now revealed that though they were 50-50 partners with Kyalo, she didn’t contribute a dime into the business. Kaittany on the other hand, invested a clean Ksh 40 million.

“I met Betty Kyallo when she was planning on getting married. It was a celebrity wedding. Thereafter we sponsored the wedding, we sponsored the honeymoon to Dubai and Mauritius and after that, we became friends. And of course having done the influencer marketing with her for our events and travel company, I really wanted them to be happy. I knew that if Kenyans saw them happy then definitely it would reflect very well on our company,” she said.

“And that is exactly what happened. So I thought the same kind of marketing would work for Posh Palace. And that is why I brought her on board. Along the way, it did not work out, unfortunately.”

Betty had to go home

Kaittany then went on to add that she had to fire Kyalo since she was becoming a liability for the business.

“I gave her that opportunity but of course, the thing about influencers is they are not used to having to give capital for anything. Or pay for anything. When you sink sh40 million into a business, really, it cannot amount to influencer marketing. Then in that case, i can afford to pay an influencer marketer sh200,000 per month for that service, if you compare it to the value of the business. So, that is why in the long run it just could not work,” She went on.

“The cracks started showing when it became more about her than the business. Yet, I was the one doing all the hard work, putting in the capital. Over the long run the cracks would definitely show. When they did show, i said, i have to be practical, we may have had a friendship but it is business. We have to be real; we cannot hide it or pretend. That would have gone only so far.”

Kyalo

Susan, however, is not bitter. She wishes her enemy all the best.

“Everyone has their hair done, from your mother down to the nanny. So there is enough for everybody. We need to employ our marketing strategies across the board. Also, possibly, people will walk into your store, not because of somebody, but because of the services you offer,” Susan explained.

She continued:

“In the long run you realise that people don’t even know who this influencer is. It is true, because the kind of clientele i attract don’t even know [her]. I did not know who she was when my husband was introducing me to her. I don’t watch tv. And who i am is my target audience. You could be popular in Kenya but you are not relevant to my target audience unless i am selling airtime or milk to the masses. Right?”

Betty Kyalo’s birthday party was simple and very mature, just take a look (photos)

As she nears 3rd floor, news anchor Betty Kyalo is getting finer, just like wine.

During her 29th birthday, things were a little bit toned down and mature, unlike some of the celebrations we have seen during her birthday parties before.

Birthday mood all day

Also, it seems like only familiar faces of not more than 10 friends surrounded her as she celebrated getting to her last step at second floor. The dreaded 30 is now on the way.  The presenter was in a birthday mood all day especially after KTN surprised with a cake and some gifts.

“Still having a fantastic day… showered with so much love today, I’m truly blessed. ❤” said Kyalo on Instagram in one post.

She added on another:

“I enjoyed the day and the night. ?Thank you so so much to everybody who took time to say happy birthday. Thank you for the many gifts that could not fit in my car? Thank you for the kisses and hugs and the all the Love! I’m blessed. ?”

Here are some of the photos from her party:

This is the beautiful message Betty Kyallo wrote to celebrate her daughter’s 3rd Birthday

Betty Kyallo and Dennis Okari’s daughter turned 3 years yesterday and to mark this day, she wrote a moving message wishing her baby girl more years to come and a healthy life.

However, unlike most of her birthday parties…this time around Betty Kyallo will be throwing a big bash at a children’s home as she wants to give back to the society by celebrating her daughter’s birthday together with other children.

Through her Instagram page the KTN news anchor wrote to say,

Happy birthday my angel. You are my slice of heaven, my little hurricane. I love you so much my baby…happy 3rd birthday you are destined for greatness because God loves you and your mama will always work hard for you.
