Having not yet come to terms with Bob Collymore´s death, Jeff Koinange decides to fulfill Bob´s wish Live on JKL.

On his weekly exclusive JKL show on Citizen TV, Jeff Koinange on Wednesday decided to have 3 women CEOs on his bench.

This is to mark and celebrate a close ally, the Late former Safaricom CEO´s  by fulfilling his wish.

Jane Karuku, MD at Kenya Breweries Limited, Rita Kavashe, MD at Isuzu East Africa and Serah Katusia, MD MediaCom.

With a panel of 3 women leaders on his coveted bench, Jeff lightly articulated:

I made a promise to my good friend, the late Safaricom CEO, Bob Collymore, that I bring some top women CEOs to the bench.

Here we are. So Bob, wherever you are, we are now even.

This ignited laughter in the studio amidst his sincere confession.

During a previous show, hosting Bob on the bench, the mogul disclosed his wish to Jeff.

Promise me that you will do that. I have some top women leaders at Safaricom, Debrah and Rita. They have a lot to share.

It is unfortunate, the late Collymore was not able to live to see the day when Jeff would fulfill his wish but all in all, Jeff is convinced, that wherever Bob might be, his wish has been fulfilled.

Vera confesses that Veetox tea fetches way more money than her skin color or club appearances

Melanin popping socialite, Vera Sidika discloses sources of her wealth after masses speculated she might be turning broke gradually.

Apparently, Vera Sidika´s change to her original skin tone might be a result of the high maintenance cost that she can no longer keep up with.

Her lighter complexion might have been too expensive for her to afford.

In comparison to sticking to her original bathing suit complexion that she does not need to keep up with.

Some claimed that I was broke so I couldn’t afford to maintain myself, I have businesses honey so I am good…

It was a one-off thing [the skin lightening procedure] so people who are saying that I’m broke maybe think that I get to do this every day but it’s not the case.

During a recent interview with Clouds FM, the businesswoman disclosed a myriad sources of income for her including:

Making club appearances is a side hustle, I also have Veetox and a beauty Parlour. Veetox is really big because I have no competition.

Veetox gets sold out every other time and I don’t even push it as much because it markets itself through word of mouth.

I sell it not only in Kenya but other parts of Africa. I have in Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Nigeria and I’m getting into Ghana soon.

At Ksh 3,000 a pack, one can easily purchase the beauty´s Veetox tea with club appearances tuning into the range of Ksh 200,000-600,000.

When I’m in Kenya, my club appearance fee is different from Tanzania, Uganda or going to China or Malaysia or even the USA.

Because when I travel to America to host an event I consider it’s like 25-hour flight, so that’s like a whole day wasted,

then you just won’t just do the club appearance and leave you have to rest for like 3 days.

International shows are more expensive.

My international fee is from 6,000 dollars (Ksh600, 000) upwards, the promoter purchases a first class ticket and books me into a 5-star hotel.

When it’s a show in East Africa I am a bit more flexible since it’s about an hour’s flight so I charge at least 3,000 dollars and locally in Nairobi I charge 2,000 dollars.

Law

Unfortunately, the East of Africa does not think this was lawful in the first place but there is a different kind of law in South Africa.

In South Africa,, a wedding is conducted in the home affairs department, get your ring on and your marriage certificate signed.

With 2-4 witnesses as a standard and it becomes official! Zodwa Mkandla was with no doubt among the 4 witnesses.

Thereafter, celebration parties are conducted according to one´s preference.

This is entirely different to her former in-law land, Chibu´s bongo land where weddings without celebrations are not considered weddings.

Meanwhile, in Uganda, they consider this, what they call a ´civil marriage´.

Tanzanian radio personality, Mkamburi Chigogo reveals this on social media stating that the silence ought to be broken because Ali Kiba´s breakup with his baby mama is real.

She claims to have received the news from a source.

Unfortunately, Ali Kiba´s personal life is quite personal and not for the public.

Citizen TV journalist, Jeff Koinange misses days when Bob would ask his Boyz club whether they missed him while he was away.

The veteran media personality regrets having not told the Late Bob Collymore how great a human he was.

It has been 2 weeks since he was laid to rest but Jeff is still trying to come to terms with the fact that such a close ally is no more.

During an interview with ´Word Is´, he articulates:

It’s been more than two weeks now but it has not yet hit me that he is gone.

Sometimes, I still sit down and imagine Bob walking in and asking us how we are doing. ´Hey guys did you miss me?´

Unfortunately, it is too late for the ´smoking hot´ Jeff to tell the late former Safaricom CEO how great a human he was.

Bob always told us that he was not perfect, but that he learnt from his faults and mistakes.

Cardiologist gives KFCB boss, Dr Ezekiel Mutua a second chance to live

Media ethics chief whip, Ezekiel Mutua reveals he has a heart condition that has been giving him a run of his time.

Through social media, Dr Ezekiel on Monday stated that last week he went to hospital for checkup but doctors informed him that he needs to see a cardiologist urgently.

My BP was 157/86 against the normal of less than 120/80. My heart rate was 115 beats per minute against the normal of 60-80.

A flurry of tests would follow and the medical team attending to me recommended admission and a subsequent heart operation.

It was the scariest news I had ever received.

It is giving him a tough time considering he has a family and a couple of others depending on him.

However, he promised to remain strong for them all.

Recovery

He shares that he has sought a second opinion from a professional medical team, one being his close ally who happens to be a doctor disclosing:

I gave him a call and he asked me to go over to his clinic right away.

A man of impeccable integrity and professionalism, Dr. Bagha has managed me in a way that I know God is using him.

He has restored hope where others planted fear.

He has put professionalism before money and with his calm and assuring demeanor has been used by God to save my life.

It is at this point that he reflects on the life he has lived and what truly matters in life.

I am grateful to have a second chance.

This is the kind of experience that makes one to have an introspection on what truly matters in life.

Further expressing gratitude to all who have had his back and held his hand whether through prayers or various other ways assuring the public he is stable and in good hands with Dr Bagha.

People like Dr. Bagha represent the best of humanity. They use their expertise to give hope and not fear.

I am grateful to have ended up in his hands.

I am being attended to as an outpatient and in two days there’s so much change.

Dr. Bagha has even become a family friend, the kind you want to keep for life. May God bless him for me!

Radio Africa to play part in former NRG´s Kamene Goro and Andrew Kibe´s lawsuit

Radio Africa is now part of the mix in its radio presenters´ Kamene Goro and Andrew Kibe lawsuit.

Yesterday, it got enjoined in the lawsuit the two are facing from former employer, NRG radio.

However, NRG had earlier filed a preliminary objection against Radio Africa´s involvement in the suit before the court ruled in favor of Radio Africa.

NRG sued the two over a 3-month non-complete clause in the radio station´s employment contract.

Yesterday, Radio Africa requested the court through a court application, to:

Set aside the orders issued by this Honorable Court on 28th June, 2019.

The orders barred the two radio presenters from working for any radio station.

On the other hand, with Radio Africa being their current employer, they seek involvement in the case, as an interested party.

According to an affidavit sworn by head of legal in Radio Africa, Linda Musita, the two presenters:

Have been placed on Radio Africa´s payroll subject to statutory deductions and employee benefits.

Furthermore, the court orders made on the 28th of June are detrimental to the company.

Moreover, Radio Africa revealed to the court that it has made a massive investment in refurbishing KISS 100´s studio, training Kamene and Kibe as well as hiring additional staff.

Not forgetting the kind of publicity created to the public about the new set of its employees´ upcoming radio show.

On the 22nd of July 2019, the case is to be back in court.

Early last week, Jacque allegedly called it quits at Citizen TV on her own will.
