Live Worship Killing Creativity – Nicholas Omane Acheampong

Nicholas Omane Acheampong is coming for non-creative gospel musicians.

Gospel musician, Nicholas Omane Acheampong stated that live worship performances by gospel artistes stifle their creativity.

For a while now, radio stations have started a new trend. The trend is they invite gospel singers into their studios to lead their listeners in worship sessions.

However, Omane Acheampong thinks that more gospel artistes are following the trend in performing songs created by others. Therefore, they are not making an effort to create their own songs.

He made these comments to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz.

More On Story

He stressed that Gospel music industry lacked talented and spirit-filled musicians and writers. These iclude the Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Yaw Sarpong, Tagoe Sisters and himself.

Also, he reprimanded the performers who begun their performances at shows and events with “so called live worship”.

Furthermore, instead of the artistes serving the audiences with the songs for which they are noted, they waste time performing songs of others calling it live worship.

However, he added that he was not against live performance. Rather, he encourages Gospel artistes to ask God for inspirations to write songs of their own.
