A Friend Tried To Poison Me – Prince David Osei Reveals

Award-wining Ghanaian actor, Prince David Osei has revealed that a friend nearly poisoned him in December last year.

Indeed, the Akan proverbs which says, “Aboa bi beka wo a, na ofiri wo ntoma mu”, which literally translates; ‘If an animal will bite you, it will be from your cloth’ is very true.

For the fact that this is not the first and probably will not be the last time we’ve heard of someone saying his/her friend has tried poisoning him/her before.

There have been countless times this has happened. Whiles some succeeded with their evil acts others too were caught just in time.

Prince David Osei was just one of the fortunate ones to have escaped such a malicious act from some so-called friends.

The actor was recounting the incident to Joy FM’s Lexis Bill on Behind the Fame on Drive Time.

Prince David Osei speaks;

“I was trying to hang out with some folks and I felt I was cool with them because I felt we were friends and we were hanging. Unknowingly, someone had the intention of poisoning my drink and I didn’t see it. It was the waiter who saw it and called me out,” he revealed.

“So when he called me, I didn’t really get it…he told me ‘be careful don’t drink anything on the table’ and I was like why. Then he said he can’t tell me” but later revealed that somebody had put something in my drink,” he added.

According to him, the waiter offered him something else to drink because he saw the person introduce the poison into the drink through his fingernail.

“I begged him [but] he said it was against the work ethic,” to reveal the identity of the person.

Prince David was however of a strong belief that the person tried to kill him out of jealousy. What else could it be?

He advised the public to be wary of the friends they keep, insisting not all close persons are loved ones. He also urged people to work on their talent and not be envious of others.
