Through his Instagram page Willy Paul recently went on to share a new post where he couldn’t help but brag about his latest achievement despite ‘cartels’ controlling the entertainment industry trying to shut him down.

Diamond Platnumz ranked the Most Streamed Artiste of 2019, beating Harmonize and Ali Kiba

Diamond Platnumz was ranked the best Tanzanian artist flooring rivals, Harmonize and Ali Kiba as well as Bongo Queen, Nandy.

A ranking carried out by Tanzania´s Boomplay Music, listing only the top 10 most streamed artistes in the country during 2019.

Simba bagged home the Gold crown, followed closely by The African Princess, Nandy who scooped the Silver and a dear rival, Harmonize who took home the Bronze medal.

The ranking was based on just not the number of hit after another an artist released in the year, but the number of YouTube views came in handy as well.

Unfortunately, King Kiba was nowhere close to the top 10 ranking – a clear indication that Diamond beat his rival to his own game.

Being accorded the title ¨Most Streamed Artiste¨ in his motherland, means Naseeb´s music tops the listings of the most sought after music on online platforms.

No one builds an empire on their own because no man is an island and we all need each other to be able to build something that lasts as long as we live and beyond.

Diamond´s own record label, WCB also starred a couple of its own artistes in the top 10 ranking as Rayvanny, Aslay, Mbosso and Lala Lava came in 4th , 5th, 6th and 8th respectively.

Harmonize´s win might also be attributed to his music releases while still at WCB since as the year started, he was still part and parcel of Wasafi before things took a different turn.

Nigerian music sensation, Tiwa Savage seems to have finally confirmed her love relationship with fellow music star, Wizkid.

During her ¨Everything Savage¨ concert at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, the beauty responded after a careless comment made regarding her relationship with Wizkid.

It was a surprise to the crowd when the 39-year old lass took to stage to clarify on her ´awkward´ intimacy with the ¨Joro¨ singer.

After their nasty break up on social media, it seems like Diamond Platnumz and Zari no longer see eye to eye and if anything the Tanzanian star has barely seen his children since separating with Zari.

A while back while speaking to Millard Ayo, Zari says that Diamond Platnumz and his family tried to have her take the children to Tanzania but since this was not her responsibility – the mother of 5 says she decided to hold back.

Seeing that there were no signs of children traveling to Tanzania, Zari says Diamond Platnumz offered to have a ‘friend’ fly in with them but being a cautious mum – Zari refused to hand in her children to a stranger they barely knew or felt comfortable around!

Well, one of her fans recently reached out to inquire why Diamond Platnumz no longer flies in to see his daughter, Tiffah.

Judging from how the fan posted her question, one would easily assume that Zari has been holding back from letting Diamond Platnumz see his children; only to realize that he has barely reached out to ask about their whereabouts.

The East African music star affirms to fans and the world at large that Mwarabu Fighter was a key player in building his brand and he remains grateful for that.

Word making rounds is that Otile Brown is still mad at his ex, Vera Sidika who he has apparently fallen in love with to a point where he was ready to settle down with the lady.

During the festive season or rather just a few days ago the singer went on to share a new post on his Instagram page talking about Vera Sidika’s obsession with having a light skinned child.

In the post Otile Brown goes on to claim that Vera Sidika got pregnant with their baby but with time opted to abort it since she was not sure whether Otile Brown’s genes were strong enough to fight the melanin still running in her DNA despite having spent millions to lighten her skin.

Vera Sidika recently insinuated that her Tanzanian boyfriend and her are expecting a baby but her ex, Otile Brown believes she terminated his because of the baby´s dark skin complexion.

In a long cryptic post, the ¨Nabayet¨ singer called out on individuals like ´Vera´ who are basically dating ´light skins´ just to get that ´cute´ baby who might turn out darker than expected.

Morgan Bahati who is the eldest son of singer and reality tv star Bahati celebrated his birthday this past weekend and all we can say is that it was indeed lit!

Although his age remains a secret, we understand that he was adopted by the singer 7 years; and since then Bahati has been celebrating his birthday with Morgan’s on the same day.

Together with his wife and kids, Bahati went on to throw a special birthday party in honor of his son. He also shared a special message to Morgan where he wrote;

Radio King, Shaffie Weru was recently involved in a terrible accident involving a Mercedes Benz G class and a lorry that left the German engine badly damaged.

The personality was riding in the car alongside his friend, Mike. Speaking to Mpasho, Shaffie blatantly expressed:

The lorry rammed into the car. I am very shaken. He was lucky because that car is like an armored car otherwise ingekua story different, I have realized life is very precious.

Shaffie was captured at the accident scene trying to assist where possible.

Controversial gospel singer, Hopekid was hit hard by a threesome scandal that damaged his brand, cost him friendships and gigs that he can never take back.

A year down the line and the gospel kid has been working tooth and nail to re brand himself and bounce back into the music industry.

Hopekid, his real name, Peter Wambua spoke to ¨Buzz¨ on how the news struck him, how it was eventually dealt with and what it cost him in the end.

Speaking of how the drama unfolded, Hopekid started:

I was going at a meeting at True D Pictures offices when the situation first broke out on Twitter. We were all curious to find out who these gospel artistes were because the situation didn’t register with me. Around evening is when DK and I were mentioned as Mr X and Mr Y.

The ¨Delilah¨ singer believes that the news spread like bush fire first, because it concerned the girl child. Second, it appealed to the public perfectly.

The reason the story escalated fast is because of two things, I believe. In today’s society, it’s hard to go against the girl-child in public even if you have done nothing wrong. Secondly, her story was told in a way that appealed to people’s sympathy. And the fact that DK and I were involved because we’re close buddies, it meant neither of us could vouch for the other.

Hopekid further explained how the dust settled and how he was able to overcome the tumultuous wave.

We hashed it out and there is an NDA on the story. I feel like those who needed to know the truth do know. I’m glad we had the right counsel: Bishop Welly Odendo of Life Pool church and Karay Blue, who dealt with the issue. It’s important to have a mentor or someone who can help you navigate the industry.

However, with scandals comes a bad image and a lot that you never thought you could do without, no longer become a part of you.

I lost a lot of endorsements and gigs I was to perform at, to the tune of about Sh3 million. But then again, there were other companies, like condom and beer companies, who wanted me to be the face of their campaigns because I was trending. Also, I became known outside of Kenya; Trace TV and MTV came to find out about me then. We can’t predict God’s work. The unfortunate part is that we in the gospel industry are judged as a group. So a lot of those in the fraternity cut ties with me without caring whether the reports were true or not.

As Kenyan Gospel star, Bahati turns a year older, the burning question he leaves fans with is his real age.

The EMB founder celebrated his birthday on Sunday, the 22nd of December 2019 and this time, sharing a throwback photo of himself back from his school days, he openly expressed:
