Wema Sepetu is one true friend any person would ask for!

After receiving a brand new car from her best friend Aunty Ezekiel – Wema has also gone ahead to surprise Ezekiel with a fully furnished shoe store.

“My father left me all his property when he died” Maina Kageni opens up

Radio presenter and media personality Maina Kageni recently opened up about his father while speaking about the ongoing Michuki family property dispute.

Apparently the Michuki’s have been battling each other in court demanding to get a share of the late minister’s estate – estimated to be worth at least 10 billion shillings.

Anyway, Maina Kageni who lost his dad when he was only 2 years old – leaving him all his property which he later inherited after turning 21 years.

“My dad died when I was two years old. Luckily for him, he left behind a will and after his death, it was entrusted to trustees. Immediately I turned 21, the properties were transferred to me,”

Maina Kageni went on to add that his father should have left all his property to his mother since she was the one raising him.

But due to his guilty conscience Maina Kageni’s father left him the property. He concluded saying;

“My dad was guilty. Why did he not leave everything to my mother?”

Kenyan gospel artist, Bahati had too much on his hands to handle. A new girlfriend knocking on his door and a brother whose music career had just started.

NRG´s PR strategy that saw them face the hand of the law

World acclaimed Kenyan record holder, Eliud Kipchoge saw the world turn into a frenzy about his global achievement.

Right from institutions re-branding, to memes created in recognition of the athletic icon. To state commendations that are a first of its kind, Kipchoge EGH carried the day.

Unfortunately, little did a couple think of the end effects of their actions. What about the Law?

NRG radio re-brands

Local Kenyan station, NRG radio decided to re-brand to Kipchoge radio to celebrate the icon for an exemplary job done.

Just soon after, they got slapped with a law suit. This would see them grace the walls of court due to infringement of image rights and reputation of the marathoner.

That was not just it.

They would additionally face legal charges for attempting to gain 1 Million followers in exchange of handing Kipchoge a second-hand BMW ride.

However, Kipchoge´s lawyers were observing from a distance, pouncing just when the time was right.

Friday, the 18th of October 2019, the retired Kenyan field athlete threatened to sue NRG radio for using his name without his consent.

KTK advocates´s statement read:

We have been retained by Eliud Kipchoge, our client to write to you. hat you issued a press release indicating your said intention to appropriate our client’s name and images on your various FunX Radio 91.3FM, NRG Radio 97.1FM and Choice Radio 87.7FM.

Because according to his lawyer, Donald Kipkorir, Kipchoge never asked for any gifts.

That without his permission, authority or licence, or any colour of right, you changed the name of your station topline on your social media pages and online blogs to Kipchoge.Radio and KipchogeRadio@NRGRadioKenya. That without our client’s permission, authority or licence or any other colour of right, you frequently informed your listeners and followers that by following your Instagram page, you will gift our client a car. Our client never asked for and doesn’t require any gifting of your car of any other car.

Demand

Therefore, their demands were that within 2 hours, the local station should make a public apology and expunge his name and images in any of their promotions.

That the use of our client’s name, image and reputation was in total and blatant violations of his brand rights, privacy, copyright and trade mark rights. These rights are in personam and can only be transferred with our client’s permission. On receipt of the above action and response, we shall enter into a discussion on the quantum payable for the aforesaid egregious violations. That if we do not receive your action and response within (2) hours of us emailing you this letter and also by posting us on the undersigned twitter timeline, we will proceed appropriately to enforce our client’s rights. that your action violates the Communication law of Kenya, and also attract criminal liability.

Failure to which, they would be forced to settle for an amount payable for the violations.

Seems like the local station realized they had crossed the line on this and took nothing to chance.

Minutes after being served with the statement from the KTK advocates – Kipchoge´s lawyer – NRG had met the demands set.

Akothee and Diamond Platnumz´ close friendship traces to firm roots that saw them jell well and grow each other.

Diamond is just not your ordinary kind of artist to wake up and decide to hit the studios with you unless there really is a good enough reason.

So Madam Boss proved she was that one Kenyan artist who would grace the studios with East Africa´s Simba and leave many with raised eyebrows.

Back in 2015, Akothee and Platnumz worked on a jam ´Sweet Love´ that dropped early 2016. Days when Platnumz was already a renowned superstar and Akothee had just started crawling into music.

But she did it and still has masses querying how she pulled that off on Diamond. Anyway, they are now big names in the industry and probably why we should let it go.

Years down the line, Akothee still recalls the string of events that saw her and Diamond shake East Africa´s music scene with their romantic hit.

Confirmed! Former Nairobi Diaries Actress Vanessa Chettle expecting baby number 2 with her new man!

Vanessa Chettle who was part of reality show Nairobi Diaries before walking away has confirmed to be pregnant with her second baby.

The lady who seems to have settled back in Eldoret with her new found love shared the good news through her Instagram page as she flaunted the yet to be seen baby bump!

This comes about a year since she welcomed her first child – an experience that she will never forget. In a post shared around February 2018, Chettle went on to narrate saying she didn’t know she was going into labor and thought she was constipating.

“I was home alone and being my first pregnancy, I honestly didn’t know I was in labor! Thought I had constipation. Anna you #Miracle you!! I birthed her all by MYSELF at home in the freaking bathroom!! I’ll explain later how that situation came to be, For now I’m just proud of this strong lil mini-ME :),”

Gospel singer Size 8 has confirmed that she is very pregnant with her second child!

The singer and minister of the word of God announced this through her Instagram page with a new photo from her baby bump photo shoot that went down just recently.

This however does not come as a surprise since there were rumors about her pregnancy – already circulating on social media.

Thanks to her well detailed post shared on Instagram; Size 8 went on to reveal that her pregnancy has not been a walk in the park.

Size 8 says she has walked through the shadows of death together with her unborn baby but they will soon make it as she has a few more weeks to go. The singer wrote;
