Ghanaians In Diaspora: Adwoa Aboah On Cover Of Edward Enninful’s British Vogue

Ghanaians in the diaspora keep winning.

Ghanaian-born Edward Enninful just produced his first British Vogue cover. This is his first cover since he was confirmed as the new editor-in-chief of British Vogue earlier in the year.

The cover features mixed-race model and activist Adwoa Aboah. Adwoa Aboah is also of British and Ghanaian descent.

Earlier in the year, she appeared on the cover of American Vogue with Liu Wen, Ashley Graham, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Imaan Hammam, and Vittoria Ceretti.

Edward Enninful as the first black man to take this role is bringing diversity and inclusivity to the forefront.

The cover photo which was styled by Edward himself and photographed by Steven Meisel. The photo shows Adwoa Aboah wearing a Marc Jacobs dress and turban with diamond earrings. Channelling 70s beauty with blue eyeshadow and glossy red lips done by makeup artist Pat McGrath.

Announcing the latest issue, Edward Enninful said:

Adwoa Aboah also shared her joy on the iconic cover saying:
