According to the ‘Bue Kwan’ hitmaker, the industry is characterized by people who seek the downfall of others.

His comments come in the wake of the several prophecies that foretold the demise of the late dancehall act, Ebony.

Ebony Reigns lost her life with two others in a gory accident on Thursday 8th February. They were  returning to Accra after a short visit to her UK-based mother in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Many men of God and some industry players claim to have fortold the tragic accident that claimed the life of the ‘Maame Hw3’ hitmaker shortly after her demise.

Renowned Sound engineer Kaywa, also proclaimed to have foretold the incidence and cautioned them over it.

Kwabena, who says he’s a staunch believer of prophets and their guidance is hence of the opinion that everyone needs spiritual protection in an industry like this.

Ghanaians Reaping what They Sowed-Kwabena Kwabena On Shatta Wale’s Misconducts

Ghanaian Highlife Musician, George Kwabena Adu, aka Kwabena Kwabena, has added his voice to Shatta Wale’s behaviors.

Many have come out to condemn the SM4LIFE Movement King on his recent behavior, described by many critics as a misconduct.

Shatta Wale slapped Biggie Sparta, his bodyguard while he was performing at the S Concert stage on 1st December, 2017. The slap generated loads of discussions with people calling for an apology for the bodyguard from Shatta Wale.

Shatta Wale was already making headlines with a controversy between him and fans of Nigerian artiste Wizkid. This was weeks before the following incidents.

A video that went viral saw him firing gunshots into the skies.

Many Ghanaians came out airing their views on the subject as usual.

Kwabena Kwabena’s Interview

Kwabena Kwabena, was speaking with Sammy Kumah (Sammy Kay) on Peace FM’s “Anigye3Kase3bo.”

According to the “Adult Music’ hitmaker, Shatta’s  persistent obstinate misbehavior is as a result of what Ghanaians have allowed him to exhibit in the eyes of the media. Accumulatively over the years without him being punished.

“Shatta Wale’s continues misbehavior is as a result of what we all natured five years ago. And everybody who follows my submissions will understand exactly what am saying”, he said.

“This whole Shatta Wale thing started when he kicked chairs and composed diss songs to insult everybody in the industry. Because he proclaimed they robbed him of the VGMA Dancehall artist of the year to a female Dancehall artist Kaakie in 2013.”  Charter House never took an action on that so that Shatta Wale would be used as a scapegoat to serve as a deterrent to others even though I advised George Quaye.

“Rather, Shatta Wale was crowned the artist of the year for 2014 VGMA awards even though he did not attend the award. And it was because Charter House was just thinking of how to make their money”

He further added that, “although Shatta Wale is a creative artist, his behavior is nothing good to talk about. We live in a global village now. As a result, all what he’s doing goes out there painting a bad image for the country and people living outside Ghana will be facing the consequences. That is why the Nigerian musicians teamed up together and treated Sarkodie the way they did at the just ended One Africa Music festival in Dubai”.

Musicians Not Producing Albums, Only Singles-Kwabena Kwabena

Ghanaian highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena says musicians are not producing albums but ‘singles’.

According to him, the current crop of artistes depends solely on ‘singles’ rather than albums hence their short concentration span in the industry.

The ‘Adult Music’ crooner added that artistes in the country are not producing and promoting ‘genuine’ Ghanaian music.

Kwabena Kwabena Speaks

“We are not growing authentic Ghanaian music. That is the hard truth. If we will be truthful, we can’t depend on the one time singles and all that. The musicians now don’t do albums, reason more artistes are packed on bills. It’s good for the event organizer. If they were all doing albums they will have more time to perform and that will be an advantage to the artiste…” he said on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty.

He mentioned songs such as Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’ and Captain Planet’s latest single ‘Obi Agye Obi Girl’ as examples.

Kwabena Kwabena outlined the need for the musicians to produce works that will keep the industry on its toes and put the Ghanaian music on the map.

Kwabena Advises Musicians

The ‘Adult Music’ crooner advised music producers to produce albums that will create a solid connection with their fans for longer performances during shows.

“Albums give you the privilege to perform more songs to your fans. Where is ‘One Corner’? Now it’s ‘Obi Agye Obi girl’. We need to put songs that will make us last as artistes to keep the industry going. We need to work harder…” he said.

Born George Adu, he is currently promoting his new album, ‘Ahyesi’. The album also happens to be his fourth.

Kwabena owns a foundation called KBKB which helps patient with heart disorders and thus organizes a yearly concert on 14 February to help raise funds for that.
