I Regret Leaving My First Husband Because Of My Celebrity Status – Maame Dokono

Ace legendary Ghanaian actress, Grace Omaboe known popularly as Maame Dokono has said

that her biggest regret in life was leaving her first husband.

According to her, her celebrity status by then made her feel she was so big and therefore did not

submit herself to her husband and to responsibility as a mother.

“I was Maame Dokono by then. I made myself like a big woman and the family of my first husband did not like it. It was a family issue and I left. However, I’ve regretted leaving my first husband.”

She indicated that she feel for the looks and money of her second husband but it turned out to

be really bad because he had a bad attitude.

She used the opportunity to advise female celebrities to drop their high horses and grab the

best men without focus on their money and looks because they can be deceptive.

I Was Happy My Son’s Marriage Fell Apart – Maame Dokono

Ghanaian actress, Grace Omaboe popularly called Maame Dokono has made some revelations about her family. According to the actress, she and her husband choose a girl for their children to marry. However, one of her sons did not agree with her and broke her heart.

She made these statements while at a press briefing for the movie, “My Very Ghanaian Wedding.” She stated, “We were all in London for the wedding but after some time it broke up and then I said well I am happy that it has broken down. My son who lives in New York wanted to marry and usually the father and I will select a Ghanaian woman for all our children but this son said no and he got married to someone from Trinidad & Tobago,” she added.

Later on she said she was going to give him a Ghanaian medical doctor, but he went in for another white girl.

These statements are interesting because we thought arranged marriages are a thing of the past. Also, why would you be happy for a child to go through a divorce.
