Stonebwoy And Shatta Wale Can Never Be The Same – Epixode

Ghanaian dancehall artiste and performer, Episode, has said Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale can never be the same.

According to him, both artistes are unique in their own ways and are all masters in the game of music.

He insisted that both dancehall artistes are giving their followers and Ghanaians what is expected of them as far as music is concerned. As a result, he cannot place one above the other.

Epixode made these comments whilst speaking on the Class Drive on Class 91.3FM hosted by Prince Benjamin.

Epixode speaks;

“I will say that any dancehall artiste learned from people like Wale and Samini. I will say, Wale now has toned down his lyrics because he has given the people what they want but he is a very good lyricist that is what I can say about Wale.

“With Stonebwoy, I think he is still giving the people who he is. It doesn’t matter if the people need trash he is still giving them good music.

“So Wale can never be Stonebwoy and Stonebwoy can never be Wale so I just give respect to both of them.”

He further revealed that he was the brain behind the Logo of the Shatta Movement.

“I even designed the Shatta Movement logo, like eight years now. I was a protégé of Wale and anybody who has followed dancehall back to that time will really know what I am talking about,” he said.

Stonebwoy Fumes Over Negligence of Ghanaian media

Awards-winning dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has expressed grave disappointment at the neglect of Ghanaians and the media as well.

According to Livingstone Satekla Etse, Ghanaians do not support their own creative minds.

Stonebwoy  was speaking at a press briefing on Thursday to launch his 24-track album.

The Zylofon Media Signee further stated that, it is sad how the Ghanaian media has failed in projecting Ghanaian musicians and actors.

“ One of the most trending tweets on twitter as I was coming here is the fact that Wizkid has won an international award over Jay Z and Beyonce at the moguls and the way the Nigerian media is carrying it is amazing, even the President of Nigeria is tweeting about it,” he said.

More On Stonebwoy

Stonebwoy further said Samini was the first African artist to win a mogul award in Africa in 2006. But the Ghanaian media with their ‘much ado about nothing attitude’ did not make news out of it.

According to him, he was saddened when he posted about his Grammy nomination with Morgan Heritage.

This, he says is because he got the lowest likes on his Instagram post when he broke the news.

“Is it the English we do not understand or what?” he quizzed

Reacting to critics who think he bribed his way into the Grammy nomination, he said, “If anyone thinks it’s that easy to get nominated for a Grammy, then they should get themselves in there,” he said.

According to Stonebwoy, he is the first African musician to have featured five International artists on one album.
