Fuse ODG Launches Line Of Black Dolls, “Nana Dolls”

Ghanaian-British Afrobeats singer, Fuse ODG launches his own line of dolls. Moreover, these dolls are darker-skinned models. He encouraged parents and guardians to desist from purchasing white dolls and get dark skinned ones for their daughters so as to promote Africa.

Furthermore, Fuse stated that African parents with dark dolls ignite the feeling of self-love. Also, they ensure their kids appreciate their race while they grow into adults.

He launched the ‘Nana Dolls’, at the GAME shop in the Accra Mall. Fuse ODG observed how white dolls prominently feature in toy shops all over the world.

Moreover, he bemoaned that Western culture dominated the world that led Africans to abandon their values due to inferiority complexes.

He explained that the lack of black dolls indirectly and directly promote a self-hate agenda

“It’s nice for our kids to see these kind of toys that look like them and feel like queens, princesses and feel like they are beautiful as well. This is why these toys are so important. They promote self-love” 

Fuse revealed that the dolls named after some prominent female African leaders such as Yaa Asantewaa, Nehanda, and Miriam Makeba.

‘My Wife Had A Crush On Me When She Was 14 Whilst Mine Was Love At First Sight’ – Nana Akomea

Managing Director of Intercity STC, Nana Akomea, on Saturday, revealed he fell in love with

his newly married wife the very day they met.

The former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Director of Communications disclosed this during a

reception on Saturday, December 22, a day after he tied the knot with the businesswoman, Eno Akua Awuah-Kyerematen.

“I fell in love with her at first sight”, he told guests at his wedding reception.

Nana Akomea also revealed that, his wife, Eno Akua Awuah-Kyerematen had been in love with him since she was 14 years old.

“It later turns out that Eno, well, she later confessed that she actually had a crash on me. So she was already in love with me when she was a teenager. It was a meeting of love.”

The event however was strictly by invitation.

Shatta Wale Blast Prophet Adom After Surviving His Prophesied December 24th ‘Death Date’

Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale talks about death prophecies about his life. Moreover, Prophet Adom prophesied about his death on 24 December 2018. However, it failed to see the light of day.

Therefore, the Zylofon signed made a celebratory post on his Facebook wall. He blasted people he describes as fake Christians and all those prophesying doom for him, in particular, Prophet Stephen Kwadwo Adom, the founder and leader of Zion Miracle Worship Center (ZMWC).

According to Shatta Wale‘s post, he titles “Fire Burn Fake Christians this Christmas” he is too hard to be killed by some fake Christians. He makes the point that no form of machinations of the evil ones against his life will see a successful end

Teephlow Wins Best Rapper Award At Central Music Awards 2018

Rapper Lukeman Ekow Baidoo, known in showbiz as Teephlow, has been crowned

the best rapper at the just ended central music awards 2018.

Teephlow beat stiff competition from several others to win the category for the 5th time.

The young rapper is however tipped to be the “heir” of the rap/hiphop game in the country.

His single PREACH won him the award as it is speculated to be the best rap project in 218.

His manager (Ibrahim Baidoo), on the side, admonished the business community in central

region to come on board to assist the creative art industry and support the numerous

talents in the region.

He also suggested that MUSIGA leadership in the region must design development project to

Morgan Heritage Arrive In Ghana For Stonebwoy’s Bhim Concert

Grammy award-winning group, Morgan Heritage are in Accra. Moreover, they arrived ahead of Stonebwoy‘s mega Bhim Concert 2018.

This year’s concert is at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair Center, Accra. Morgan Heritage will perform at the concert and support a brother in the dancehall fraternity.

The group, Morgan Heritage are currently on their “Africa Jamaica Tour”. Furthermore, African countries like Kenya and Tanzania are next on their tour. They already played Zimbabwe and Zambia on the tour.

The Grammy Winning Group scored a major success with their “Africa Jamaica” single released earlier in October 2018 featuring Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania and Stonebwoy from Ghana.

Stop Recording Profane Songs – Kojo Antwi

High life legend, Kojo Antwi talks about young musicians. According to him, young musicians should desist from recording songs with sexually suggestive words. However, they must focus on songs with good lyrics that transform lives.

Moreover, according to Antwi, the new school artists consistently write songs about a woman’s body. However, they never consider their listening audience.

Furthermore, he admitted that the new crop of musicians have their own style. Also, he said it was important that they draw inspiration from the older generation in the industry,.

He made these statements in an interview on Onua FM.

“The words, the lyrics are the most important. People are listening, children are listening. Those outside Ghana teach their children the local dialects with our songs but most of the lyrics are about a woman’s body” 

“Songs of today are more-self centered; it is just ‘baby, I will buy you that, I will buy you designer wear, just give me your body. I feel there are older musicians who taught the young ones better than they are doing.

“We have older ones like Fela, Nana Ampadu and co who taught us that we have a struggle, and struggling people think more us, instead of just me” 

He also said social media has made it easy for young artistes to get away with some of such profane songs. This is because there is not so much censorship on those platforms as compared to the mainstream traditional media platforms.

MTN Presents Their MTNCarol2018

MTN presented their MTN Christmas Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols. It happened at the Fantasy Dome of the Trade Fair Centre. Moreover, it was a fun-packed night of music and laughter.

Comedian, Foster Romanus hosted the show. Furthermore,like any MTN Festival of 9 lessons and carols, there was a a mix of comedy, music, as well as the readings of the nine lessons and carols. The nine chosen Bible verses for this year were read by celebrities and business leaders. They included Slip Music CEO Mark Okraku Mantey, Black Stars assistant manager Maxwell Konadu, celebrated lawyer Kofi Abotsi, among others.

After every Bible reading, a top Ghanaian music star joined the choir to cheer the crowd with a chosen carol. The biggest cheers of the night went up when Kuami Eugene, Kwesi Arthur, and Patapaa. Past MTN HItmaker winners Freda Rhymes, Koo Ntakra, Togbe, and O.V teamed up to give a powerful performance.

Kaakyire Kwame Appiah also spiced the night with his legendary Christmas song ’24.

Let Us Organize A Concert To Help Daddy Lumba Jnr. – Criss Waddle

AMG business boss, Criss Waddle talks about the news of Daddy Lumba Jnr, Anokye Supremo. Moreover, he calls on his fellow musicians to come together and save the sight of the musician. The news of his sight-loss to a tumor is a disturbing one.

Waddle made these statements while speaking to B Ice on Kumasi-based Agyenkwa FM. Furthermore, he chastised the current MUSIGA president, Obour. According to him, Supremo is in this current predicament because the MUSIGA president relents on his duties.

Also, he revealed that Obour could have helped him by calling on other musicians to contribute some monies for him. However, because he (Obour) won’t get any money from such a charitable act he is not enthused about it.

Therefore, he called on his other colleagues to try and come together and probably organize a concert to help Lumba Jnr. out. He also suggested that they can even just decide to do a donation concert as soon as possible to save the sight of the talented musician, Anokye Supremo.

Efya Holds Girl Talk Concert

Multiple award-winning singer, Efya headlined this year’s ‘Vitamilk Girl Talk 2018’. Moreover, this was “the Loud Concert”. The event came off at the National Theatre. The concert saw fans and music lovers who danced throughout the night.

Aside Efya as the female headline act, Sister Derby was also on stage to perform her popular ‘kakalika love’ song. Also, Zylofon music signed artiste, Joyce Blessing stepped on the big stage to perform her great gospel hits. Even though it was an all-girl event, reggae and dancehall superstar, Stonebwoy also passed through the all-girls show and gave a dose of a splendid performance.

Others performers included King Promise and Kuami Eugene.

Furthermore, highlife legend, Abrantie Amakye Dede was on stage. The highlife maestro performed some of his great hits with the headline act, Efya.

I Used To Walk To School – Kwesi Arthur

Fast-rising rapper, Kwesi Arthur spoke about his struggle. Moreover, he shared a little part of the sad realities he went through growing up in Tema.

He made these statements on the latest episode of ‘Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix Show’. The rapper revealed that at some point in his growing life, his dad didn’t have the means to provide for him and his three other siblings the money to take to school.

Therefore, in the his dad couldn’t afford to give them money, they had to walk from community nine(9), where they were living at the time to a different community just to make it in the time for class. He emphasized that the journey didn’t just end with them walking to school in the morning as had to do the return journey back home on foot.

Criss Waddle Denies Being A Scammer

AMG business boss, Criss Waddle talks about the rumours of him as a fraudster. Moreover, many people like Shatta Wale and Showboy claim that is his profession.

However, he stated that contrary to the claims of many people that his wealth is from scamming innocent people, he is actually into real estate. He made these revelations in an interview with B Ice on Kumasi based Agyenkwa FM.

Criss Waddle revealed on the entertainment show that the return of investment in real estate is unbelievable. Moreover, he dared everyone out there with money to take his advice.

He again went on to assure such people that they will get a lot of profit. Therefore, they certainly would come and thank him for the advice.

Ghanaian actress and television host, Yvonne Okoro talks about rumours of her dating life. Moreover, she denied rumours that she had an affair with rapper, Sarkodie. She made these statements in her latest interview on Okay FM.

Host, Abeiku Santana stated that she wasn’t at Sark’s wedding because of these rumors. Also, because she didn’t want their alleged secret affair to cause any drama at his wedding.

However, Yvonne expressed shock and said she didn’t think that was the case.

“I think the wife should know and will know that definitely there was nothing ever between Sarkodie and I”

She also mentioned that she and Sarkodie were cool,

I Have A Marijuana Farm In Navrongo – Okomfo Kwadee Reveals

Celebrated rapper Jerry Anaba, popularly known as Okomfour Kwadee, has opened up up

his past and circumstances that led to his absence from the music scenes.

Kwadee was reportedly found in a psychiatric hospital few months ago.

In an exclusive interview with Adekye Nsoroma live on UTV, Okomfo Kwadee made it known

that, due to controversies surrounding his mental illness, he had no option than to run to the

Psychiatric center.

According to reports however, Okomfour Kwadee went to the rehabilitation center on July 22, 2013, by himself.

Meanwhile, when he was asked by the host if he smokes, he revealed that, he started smoking

Stop Snubbing Us During Your Meetings – Kumawood Actors

Actors’ Guild in the Garden City, Kumasi write a letter to the Creative Arts Council of Ghana and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Arts. Moreover, the letter expresses their total displeasure about the manner of treatment in recent times.

Furthermore, they stated that the council always neglected them in everything they do. The Kumawoods actors used the recently held end of year town hall meeting of the council as a clear example to back their case.

Also, they made the point that they are very important stakeholders in the arts industry. However, the ministry and its council turn a blind eye to them on other important meetings as well.

Therefore, the Actors’ Guild in Kumasi warned the council to be wary about the manner they are treating them. They reiterated the point that this is the last time they would sit idle and allow the Creative Arts Council to treat them like some nobodies.

Also, they urged the NPP government and ministry to try and fulfill their manifesto promise. This is the one to build an ultra-modern theater for the Ashanti Region.

Shatta Wale Won’t Agitate Me Again – Stonebwoy

The nemesis between dancehall acts, Stonebowy and  Shatta Wale has been on-going for a while now.

However, its almost a new year and everyone is making new year’s resolution.

Stonebowy has also disclosed that he will no longer let his arch rival, Shatta Wale’s barbs affect him.

According to him, he used to get agitated by some of Shatta Wale’s utterances but he is longer going to do so.

“I must confess that some of the things he’s said about me really got to me. He said things to me that really hurt by heart and got me worried but I am over it all,” he said on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review on Saturday, December 22.

Stonebwoy added he’s realized that was Shatta Wale’s way of staying relevant and he has

decided not to pay attention to him anymore.

“There is nothing I can do about him to change who he is or his utterances but that is just him. But from today I won’t bother myself again about issues with Shatta Wale.

“In as much as I get hurt and I feel like saying certain things I will keep my calm

and try as much as possible not to answer or reply Shatta Wale anymore,” he said.

Away from issues with Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy said things are uncertain about his future with Zylofon.

“For now I can’t tell whether I would want to sign with Zylofon or not. I have some few months to end my contract with Zylofon and after we will see the way forward,” he said.

Talking about his Bhim Concert, Stonebwoy urged his fans to come in their numbers

and witness a mind blowing event that will stay in their memories forever.

“I have A-list artistes and more surprises come December 28 and I will be on stage for more than two hours thrilling my fans with the best of music,” he said.

Strongman Didn’t Charge A Penny For Featuring My Song – Scrip-T Reveals

Ghana’s newest sensational Afropop artiste, Scrip-T dropped his single “Gimme Joy” almost a few days ago.

The song, which is already making huge waves however features Sarkcess music artiste Strongman.

During his recent interview with Regina van Helvert on GH One TV, Scrip-T was asked why he chose Strongman for the feature.

He quickly responded that he happens to have good relations with Strongman’s manager.

Peace FM’s Sports Journalist Danny Akorful Passes On

Peace FM sports journalist, Daniel Akorful passed away. Moreover, this was after battling an illness.

According to news reports, Daniel was confirmed dead at the hospital

Danny, as he is affectionately called by his peers in the sporting fraternity has not been active for some time due to his illness.

The deceased until his demise was a reporter for Peace FM. He also worked for the likes of Asempa FM and the Ghana Sports Newspaper.

May his soul rest in peace.

I Can’t Be Easily Replicated – M.anifest

It’s very common these days to see other musicians doing renditions of songs of their

colleagues in the Ghanaian music industry.

According to rapper Kwame Ametepe Tsikata, popularly known in showbiz as M.anifest

however he has not spotted anyone trying to do same with his songs.

The ‘godMC’ explained that this is because he cannot be easily replicated due to the level

of his skills.

“I don’t think I can easily be replicated because I have built my skill level and tried to find my identity that you can’t just replicate what I am doing,” he noted.

M.anifest further stated that, his genre of music is pretty odd from what Ghanaians are

used to and this differentiates him from his counterparts.

 “I am okay that mine has been a gradual build of the under-dog and even now that I am quiet known, there’s still the under-dog status in the sense that, I really go left when the others are going right,” he added during an interview on Ghanaweb.
