Afro-pop is gradually becoming the heartbeat of music in the country, with many artistes diverting into that music genre in recent years.

Ghana’s afro-pop has given birth to a new act, known as “Adepa”, in the music circles with her real name being Gloria Gyan.

She busted onto the music scene not long ago with her first single titled “Condem”

and gained recognition as a prodigy and has been touted to make waves in the near future.

In an interview with GNA Entertainment, Adepa who signed onto the “1RMT” record label,

is relishing taking dancehall and Afro-pop music to another level in the next coming years.

“I’m working towards my future of being one of the top superstars on the African continent.

“There are alot of female superstars in the industry but am here with my own style,” she said.

She added, “Ghanaians should expect something different and

I urge all music lovers to support me and I would make Ghana proud someday”.

Budding dancehall artist, Adepa has said, she will be “happy” to have an affair with her manger.

According to her, dating her manager will make her job as an artiste easier .

“We virtually do everything together, we go to the studio very late and always with him, this makes it difficult for me to go into any relationship,” she said.

“Imagine I have a boyfriend, it will be very difficult to convince him. I know my manager has issues with his girlfriend because of me” Adepa added in a recent interview.

She however noted that she wants to put relationship aside and concentrate on her music career.

Adepa is currently promoting her new single dubbed ‘Holiday’ .

Assin Fosu based sensational singer Adepa has bagged for herself 5 nominations for this

year’s edition of Central Region Music Awards.

Adepa released her first single “Condemn” in April.  The song however did quite well

considering the fact that it was her very first time coming into music .

She then released a Refix version of Shatta Wale’s Gringo and followed it with ‘Come Chop’.

Adepa is undoubtedly one of the most talked about artistes in the Central Region.

The following are the nominations she got ; New Artist of the year , Dancehall Song of the year,

High Life song of the year , female vocalist of the year and also best management team for

her management.

This year is promised to be a good year for Adepa as she prepares to release another song

titled “Holiday”.
