The comedian had passed a derogatory comment which he describes as a ‘vague complement’

during Shatta Wale’s response to Sarkodie’s ‘Advice’song. Many Ghanaians and Sarkholics

however read meanings into the comment describing it as an insult to Sarkodie’s mum.

In a short video, DKB expressed shock and apologized to Sarkodie, her mum and fans who

felt insulted by the news.

“If you guys were offended by these stories, I duly apologise. It’s nothing of that sort. The statement I made is a vague complement. It has nothing to do with insults. When will I insult Sarkodie when everybody knows I’m a major fan of Sarkodie supporting him on every stage…”

DKB was speaking in an interview with Nana Adwoa Sarkodie Mensah on Citi TV’s 2020 News.

He however stated that he would only settle for a wife when he starts receiving GHc 150, 000 as fee for shows.

“I want to get married when I am able to charge 150, 000 cedis per show. You know when your career is successful, you don’t only have girlfriends. Girlfriends also have you,” the comedian added.

DKB not long ago was reported to have said that if a man does not have money, his marriage would collapse.

“Don’t go and stress somebody’s daughter. Do you know that for a lot of the divorces; money contributes like 85 or 90 percentage and petty issues?,” he asked.

“You think the rich men do not cheat and their wives do not know they are cheating? Even when their girlfriends are coming to look for them, their wives tell them because there is money,” DKB added.

(Audio) The Fight Has Shifted From The ‘Girls’ To The ‘Boys’ As DKB And David Oscar Battle It Out

We all know women in nature are full of fights and misunderstandings. But what about the men? Of course they do throw punches at each other sometimes too. From the secrets and punching camps of Fella Makafui and Efya Odo, we’re making a U-turn at the camps of comedians DKB and David Oscar.

Don’t get me wrong, this is no comedy, this is reality.

David Oscar has shockingly revealed that he conspired with DKB to make Ghana’s foremost event company, Charterhouse unpopula

However, in a flash back, the genesis of this saga goes back to a call by DKB for comedians to join him fight Charterhouse. Their purpose was to fight the organization for always bringing in Nigerian comedians to perform at programs whilst ignoring Ghanaian comedians.

According to the comedian turned musician, both of them teamed up and created fake accounts on social media years ago to to attack and defame event organizers, Charterhouse and some personalities.

David dropped this bombshell during an interview on the Total Showbiz segment of Okay FM’s “Ekwansodwodwodrive time program.

Angry Oscar, described DKB( Derrick Kobina Bonney) as a hypocrite. This he said is because after all their plans DKB broke all communications with him for over three years. However, he (DKB) called him just two weeks ago, that he was doing a documentary on comedy in Ghana. Adding that DKB is asked him to attack Charterhouse as part of the documentary. Meanwhile DKB now runs around town with George Quaye (Head of Communications at Charterhouse) as if he’s his best friend.

He also said if DKB is the ‘king of comedy’ like he proclaims then he should take on Charterhouse on his own.

“Are you not the self-imposed king of GH comedy, so why don’t you fight them? You are friends with George Quaye, are you not? Although you and I, we teamed up to create anonymous accounts on twitter to attack the likes of George Quaye, Nii Aryee Tagoe and others. They see you as a friend, don’t they? I am sure they see you as a friend because you are the good guy and David Oscar is the bad guy. Now you are coming to me to go and attack Charterhouse but I said no! I won’t do that. You are a hypocrite. Why don’t you go and fight them yourself?”David Oscar lamented.

In order to affirm his claims, DKB was reached on phone on the same program to react to David’s allegations.

DKB, in response, said Oscar is only bitter hence his attacks on him.

DKB Expresses Disappointment At Shatta Wale For Calling Himself ‘Naija’ Boy

Award-winning Ghanaian Comedian, DKB, has expressed his disappointment at Shatta Wale for calling himself a ‘Naija’ boy.

It all started about two weeks ago when dancehall artiste Shatta Wale said in an interview that he didn’t see Nigeria’s darling boy, Wizkid as a super star.

Leading to massive trolling from Nigerians to the ‘taking over’ crooner on social media.

In light of the mishaps, Shatta Wale has released a number of songs, standing his ground by defending his statements and cementing his claims including one dubbed ‘I Be Naija Boy’.

He then took to social media to alert his fans and followers to stream and download the song which according to him is better than all of Wizkid’s songs combined.

Shatta was captured to have written boldly ‘ I Be Naija Boy’, perhaps, referring to his song in a recent tweet.

This, however, did not go down well with Ghanaian Comedian DKB.

He has expressed his disappointment at Shatta Wale for calling himself a Naija Boy. In a tweet the comedian said “So now @shattawalegh deny we Ghanaians to call himself a Naija boy? This is betrayal…I’m very disappointed.

This is not to say Nigerian is our enemy, but we are on the same ship fighting for the same things for our industry. It is not fair for him to call himself a Naija boy when Ghanaians were behind him after the incident. It is a stab in the back and I am very disappointed”

Shatta Wale, is however, yet to respond to DKB’s comment.

Nana Konadu Nearly Destroyed My Career – DKB

Award-winning comedian, Derrick Kobina Bone popularly known as DKB has opened up about how the comment by former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, nearly destroyed his career.

In April this year, during an Easter comedy show, Nana Konadu stated that DKB was a boring comedian. The said event was headlined by DKB. However, it seems the former first lady was unimpressed with him.

She left the conference centre unconvinced about the comedic prowess of DKB. The former First Lady went to the exit as soon as the famous Ghanaian comedian mounted the stage, saying to the hearing of other patrons seated close by, “don’t mind him; his jokes are boring”.

DKB spoke about the comments on Mikki Osei Berko’s ‘After Hours’. He stated that the comments by the Nana Konadu opened him up to his enemies.

I mean what she said was the most detrimental thing anyone could say to me. She opened me up to my enemies, to mockery and it was this close to my career crashing. I mean it is not encouraging for a high profile person of that sort to pass such a comment. She said she didn’t say it.

However, DKB said he apologized to Nana Konadu when he saw her again.

I met her and I apologized for the night. I didn’t really care whether she has to apologise to me or not. My bit was that I am the young man so off course I had to come clean. I apologized to her that if that night she was truly offended by the kind of content I was doing, then I am sorry. It was the lowest of my career. I lost a lot of shows because of the comment,” DKB maintained.
