Nana Yaw Wiredu Drops ‘Asabone’ Feat. Patapaa (AUDIO)

  • Veteran Ghanaian musician Nana Yaw Wiredu is back with a new banger dubbed ‘Asabone’

Nana Yaw Wiredu is known for smashing the music scene in the 90’s with hit song “Wodeede Mu”.

He however recruits is hiplife sensation, Patapaa Amisty on this single.

The track ‘Asabone’ is a hilife / afrobeat genre bridging the new and old school.

Production credit however goes to Dr Ray Beat.

The Japan-based musician and dancer had been on low key rebranding.

Nana Yaw has, thus, asked fans to keep their fingers crossed for more ground-breaking records after this opener.

The seasoned musician had his songs “Wodeede Mu” and “Abena Frema” blacklisted in the 90’s over claims that they were profane.

He however disclosed that even while his songs had been banned on radio, he still earned good money off them as there was good patronage of his cassettes at the time; as people were curious to listen to it despite controversies.

Nana Yaw Wiredu in his hey days worked with the likes of Slim Buster, Adjetey Sowah and a host of renowned dancers across Africa.

He was adjudged the best Ghanaian dancer in 1991.
