Ghanaian Musicians Should Get Other Sources Of Income – Okyeame Kwame

Revered Ghanaian rapper, Okyeame Kwame has advised his colleague musicians not allow music to be their only source of income.

According to him, it is prudent for his fellow musicians to get alternative sources of income to augment their music revenue.

The ‘Rap Doctor’ as he’s affectionately called in an interview on Adom FM, said because the

royalty system does not pay in Ghana, “musicians can’t rely solely on music for the livelihood.”

“Elsewhere, if you produce one music, you get a lot from royalties but the case is different in Ghana. That is why you need other income streams to cushion you,” he said.

Okyeame, who doubles as an entrepreneur added, “everybody knows Amakye Dede is also into farming, Kojo Antwi has a hotel, Daddy Lumba is into salt business. You can’t always be on top so you need a backup.”

The tourism ambassador made this statement when he was asked if he would allow his children to do music.

Many actors, actresses, and musicians have been seen over the years doing different things aside their professions.

Actress Yvonne Okoro in an interview on Hitz Daybreak with Andy Dosty said she has other

businesses including real estate. She is also the host of the cooking show ‘Cooks and Braggarts.”

Actor John Dumelo, also on the other hand, has ventured into farming and actress Fella Makafui has a wine shop and clothing shop.

Some musicians like Sarkodie own shops that sell their clothing brands.

According to Okyeame Kwame, he will not approve if his children decide to do full-time music.

Okyeame Kwame further noted that in the music industry, an artiste will not always have a

smooth sail financially, so, his children will need another source of money a side job to support themselves.

The ‘Small Small’ crooner who is preparing to release his Made in Ghana album, recently released the second single from the album.

I Will Burn Anyone Who Burns My Child And Go To Jail – Okyeame Kwame

Rapper Okyeame Kwame has revealed that he won’t think twice about burning any human being who will burn his child.

According to the award-winning rapper, “no amount of forgiveness can stop me from hitting

this guy, burning him too and taking the law into my own hands.”

“I will burn him too,” Okyeame Kwame said in response to the question on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show last Friday.

That is not all. “I will get an axe and go down there and butcher him,” The rapper, born Kwame

Nsiah-Apau, (known largely as Okyeame Kwame),

Okyeame Kwame was reacting to a Joy News report on an 11-year-old boy who was doused with

petrol and set on fire for allegedly spying on a woman in a bathroom in the Upper East Region

of Ghana.

Ayinbiha Abelinkiira was, two years ago, accused of peeping through a bathroom, to see the

nakedness of a woman who was taking a bath – an offense he denies.

This story comes in the wake of a similar story in which a boy had his arm chopped off by his

step mum in the Central Region because he defecated in a farm.

Annica Nsiah-Apau, wife of Okyeame Kwame, who was visibly shaken by the ordeal of Ayinbiha

on the other hand admonished parents to discipline their children out of love, urging that the

purpose for discipline should be the benefit that it brings the child.

CHECK:https://www.ghafla.com/gh/contents-on-tv-presently-awful-rama-brew/

“So anytime you have to punish a child you have to pause and think about it with the end benefit in mind. Why am I doing this, am I doing it so that the child gets it or I am doing it so that I inflict pain on the child? You must punish your child but pause and think of the impact on the child.,” she said.

Annica who was a co-panelist added that parents should emulate how God discipline’s his children.

“Even as parents when our children do something and we are about to punish them we have to pause because the Bible explains that you must punish a child when they do wrong but then anytime they spoke about punishment with God, they also added that he did it with love.”

“If all the celebrities come together to help out, Ghana will become the nation we all want. For instance as a brand ambassador promoting the use of made in Ghana products, Sarkodie could choose a sector like sanitation, Stonebwoy could choose agriculture, Shatta Wale could choose entrepreneur and so on.

You know, we can all make small small changes from our little corner. If we all want to wait for the government to fix the roads, build clinics or provide water to communities, we will wait forever! We need to help each other make Ghana develop,” he added.

his money to help the less privileged in society than giving it to a “man of God”.

“I won’t say I am a Christian because I don’t go to church. However, I believe in spirituality. What I mean by that is that I read the Bible and talk to God when I have the time. I don’t do all the wrong things the Bible speaks about like; stealing, lying, fornicating etc.”

lovebirds in town, Medikal and Fella Makafui, be and have fun for they are young.

Rumours surfaced last week that the Tema-based rapper, Medikal, had fallen out of love with

his longtime girlfriend, Deborah Vanessa, known in showbiz as sister Derby after about three years of dating.

Medikal and Fella Makafui have since last week been frolicking and showing off their

affection for each other through social media posts.

The ‘How Much’ hitmaker, however, suggested in his single ‘Ayekoo’, which featured

King Promise, that Sister Derby was worrying him with marriage.

Medikal also praised the physique of his new found love as he likened Fella’s backside to “a plantation”.

According to the rap icon, Ghana’s economy is becoming difficult as a result of economic

their money to Africa, they send it to Greece.

“America is suffering, they have a bad leader. All these things are affecting our

economy. So I think the politicians should come up and have a dialogue with the

people again,” he noted on The Zone on Starr FM Friday when he was asked about the development.

Some residents of Adenta went on rampage Thursday by burning car tyres on the highway

to register their protest over the rampant killing of people on the highway due to lack of footbridges.

Meanwhile, Pressure group, OccupyGhana, has condemned government for not being

proactive in dealing with the carnage.

stretch of road beginning from the University of Ghana to the Pantang end of the highway to

reduce the unnecessary speeding of drivers.”

It also added: “Government should replace all faulty traffic lights that have been faulty with

modern and solar powered controlled traffic lights. Further to this, extra traffic lights with

toucan crossing system must be fixed to allow free flow of traffic.”

two children, Sir Kwame Nsiah Bota and Shanti Antwiwaa Nsia Apau for financial gains.

…if you have a child who is smart and capable of doing things, you need to let them do it because Africa is lacking behind and there is no time to slow things down. I am just trying to prevent them from making the mistakes I made as a child…” OK said during an interview on Zylofon 102.1 FM‘s ‘Showbiz Agenda’ with Sammy Flex.

Okyeame also revealed that he is doing these things to give his children a social and business mind and as a result, those on his case should back off since they are not the ones who are paying the bills of the place he and his family currently lay their heads.

“…I work in the cultural space and I understand how certain things work including social media and business hence, taking advantage of these things is not exploitation.

I am just training them and unless you pay for mortgage in my house, you don’t tell me how to train my kids. They are doing very well with their academics and I am only balancing them with this to prevent them from becoming weak. I am not exploiting my kids, we only allow them to do these things for fun…” he further reiterated.

Many a time, we hear of African men professing their love for women who are endowed.

Naturally, it is believed that African men love women with big butts, and b$obs, though there are few exceptions.

One musician who is well known for his love for women with big backsides is the ‘Rap Doctor’, Okyeame Kwame.

No wonder he got for himself a very well endowed woman for a wife. She of course is aware of her husband’s love for big butts, which they both love to talk about.

To Okyeame Kwame, the likes of Moesha Budoung, Princess Shyngle and all those women with big butts make the best pillow. For this reason, he personally prefers women with huge butts to women with flat buttocks.

The ace rapper, took his turn on the popular TV show, The ‘Delay Show’ over the weekend.

But the ‘Saucing’ crooner has laughed off all those assertions, stating that his dormancy in music is not because he has gone passed his heydays.

According to the multiple awards-winner, “my absence from recording and releasing music has been due to a lot of things, paramount of it is that I’m a daddy now.”

“For me music is not a product but a piece of art and an expression of my soul, so I give it out when I feel it. So most times a lot of musicians feel pressured when they are not releasing music. But for me until I’m confident enough to give you something that would blow you away or inspire you. I wouldn’t put out anything.” Okyeame Kwame revealed in an interview on BEATWAVES.

He further hinted that he is set to release an album come June 1, titled ‘Made In Ghana’

He added, “On this album, I did collaboration with Sizzla Kalonji, Kwame Eugene, Kidi and Bradez and Didi Awade from Senegal among many others and the genre of the music is purely highlife.”
