Stivo Simple boy’s new look and what it means for his music career

Kibera-bred singer Stephen Otieno, better known as Stivo Simple Boy, has been the talk of the town after unveiling his new look which was a result of a dental procedure that he underwent to align his teeth.

Taking to social media, the Mihadarati hit maker revealed that he was now feeling confident and would be able to smile in public.

“Guys, do you remember eight months ago I had braces installed to beautify my teeth? Today the treatment ended and I feel more confident. Au sio? Ndoo manaake,” Stivo Simple Boy posted.

His fans were quick to congratulate him on his new looks, some even claimed that their girlfriends were no longer safe because the singer would easily snatch them. The ladies could also not get enough of him.

I am really happy for Stivo Simple Boy. In my opinion, his new looks will have an impact, however small on his music career.

I know you are wondering what impact a dental procedure will have but allow me to explain. You see, he has been trolled day and and night for ‘being ugly’. Some people have even referred to him as a monkey.

At one point American singer Lil Duval mocked Stivo Simple Boy as a  a black smiley face emoji, a move that did not sit well with many Kenyans including rapper Octopizzo.

But now with this dental procedure, he is able to feel more confident and that means that his output will also be good since he no longer has to worry about his looks.

His live performances will also improve since he won’t be worried that people are thinking how ugly he is when he’s on stage.

Ladies will also start throwing themselves at him because of his smile and who knows, Stivo Simple Boy might just find one beautiful lass to settle down with.

Stivo Simple has shared a new photo just a few hours after getting rid of his braces and boy does he look different! The singer who is popularly known for his Vijana tuache mihadarati hitsong has been rocking the braces for about 6 months now; and looking at the new photo it’s clear to see that he indeed needed to fix his teeth.

However now that this has been done, Stivo has come out looking quite different; don’t get me wrong but this singer totally looks more handsome with the new set of teeth!

As seen on the dental page (orthodontics.ke) that helped with the transformation they reintroduced the new Stivo saying;

With the bright smile and of course catchy eyes, fans in the comment section could not help but admire how handsome Stivo looks! At least critics will not have much to say about Stivo; and what makes this better is the fact that the new look will boost his self esteem.

With the new changes already favoring him; we calso can’t help but wonder whether his management has any plans of releasing any new project. His last song Tuheshimu Ndoa was released in February and since then Stivo has been maintaining a low profile!

Kenyan singer Steven Otieno, better known as Stivo Simple Boy and famed for his Mihadarati hit has released a new jam alongside Byzzo The Baddest, Vaal and the Made In Kibera Band and it’s a big tune.

The song titled We Shall Overcome is dedicated to people who are facing challenges, including those affected directly or indirectly by Corona virus which has led to the deaths of more than 20,000 people, that things will get better.

The underlying message in this jam is that we should be brave as we face challenges and not let our problems kill our hopes for a brighter and better future. Put simply, it shall all come to pass just as it dawns after the dark.

I’m so in love with We Shall Overcome. I’ve listened to it a couple of times since it was released and every time I play it, I get the feeling that I am listening to it for the very first time and that is how you know a song is dope.

Although I’m a big fan of Stivo Simple Boy coupled with the fact that he had a dope verse on this jam, I must say that I was really impressed by the Made In Kibera Band more than anything. Their harmonies give me life.

The way they sing, you feel like there is nothing that you can not conquer in this life and I look forward to listening to more songs from them.

Byzzo The Baddest also had a dope verse. This guy has a smooth and natural flow that will leave you with your finger stuck on the replay button.

The instrumentation on this jam is mellow and this allows you to digest the message that the artists are trying to pass through the song. I don’t really have much to say about the video seeing as it was recorded in a studio.

Stivo Simple Boy and his friends to be arraigned in court for ´idling´

Kibra-bred rapper, Stivo Simple Boy and his friends rubbed shoulders with the police over the weekend, that saw them spend nights behind bars.

Saturday, while the fast-rising talent was shooting his music video, his dear friend, Gideon was busy selling Stivo´s merchandise at Friends´ Church.

Something that had actually been agreed upon between Gideon and the church. A close source to TUKO revealed:

Gideon has been selling his stuff at that church for 2 years now and has never had issues. He and the church have an agreement.

However, the police took this for ´idling´ and apprehended Gideon, which caused worry for Stivo Simple Boy when he could not get into contact with his friend.

Misunderstanding

Later in the day, Stivo learnt about his friend´s arrest and decided to head over to Kilimani Police station to inquire about the arrest.

According to the police, Gideon was conducting business without the required documentation to legalize his business.

Unfortunately, the day did not end well, because soon after Stivo´s arrival at the police station, the rapper was also locked up.

The source added:

When Stivo went to the station, authorities mocked him and claimed he thought he knew the law better than them. We did not cause any commotion and all we did was inquire where our friend was.

A move that saw them join Gideon behind bars. Despite efforts to negotiate their release with the police, they were told to await their arraignment today, 27th of January.

Those in custody include: Simon Sikote, Eric Mutunga and Phillip Oyoo along with Stivo Simple Boy.

Gideon was however released soon after the arrest of Stivo Simple Boy.

Vijana hitmaker Stivo Simple boy just turned a  year older and to mark this special event, the singer decided to celebrate it with his friends as seen online.

Unlike other celebrities who prefer hosting their birthdays at posh hotels – Stivo simple boy decided to host his birthday back at his hood as seen on his Instagram post.

Stivo Simple Boy’s musical journey taught Kenyans a lot in 2019

Say whatever you want but in my opinion Mihadarati hitmaker Steven Otieno, popularly known as Stivo Simple Boy, was one of the best things that happened to us in 2019 because his musical journey taught us a lot.

You see, it’s not everyday that ‘sensitive’ music goes viral because the truth often hurts. As such, many people tend to avoid songs that have deep messages and point out their ill behaviours.

To add to that, the song that made the 29-year-old musician a household name – Mihadarati – had been released two years earlier which is another rare occurrence.

There’s also the fact that Stivo Simple Boy is not the world’s most handsome man, some people have even compared his looks to that of a monkey which was not really necessary if you ask me.

Naysayers claim that he doesn’t have an ounce of talent and that he’s only famous because people take him as a joke which is something that I don’t really agree with because I think he has it in him.

Clearly, this young man has defied so many odds to get where he is today and that’s really commendable. I am happy that he has continued to trudge on despite what people are saying about him.

If he continues at the same pace then 2020 will even be better. My only wish is for Stivo Simple Boy to record a song with one of the mainstream acts like Octopizzo, Khaligraph or even Jua Cali.

‘Vijana tuachane mihadarati’ song was definitely Stivo simple boy’s breakthrough song that put him on top of almost all music charts in the country.

While others thought this was for fun and games…turns out that Stivo Simple Boy was aiming to accomplish what many kenyan artists have failed to achieve.

Well Stivo Simple Boy was among the top artists who were awarded at the Mashujaa awards that went down this past weekend.

The artist walked away with the ‘Artist of the Year’ award thanks to his loyal fans who have been showing massive support since day 1!

To thank fans for this great achievement, Stivo simple went on to write saying;

Steven Otieno, better known as Stivo Simple Boy and famed for his Mihadarati hit has released a new jam alongside Byzzo The Baddest and it’s a big tune.

The song titled Inauma is derived from a catchphrase that went viral when Stivo Simple Boy was asked to comment on people who were making fun of him because of his looks. He simply said, “inauma but itabidii uzoee.”

I really this jam because you can see how much the Uhalifu hitmaker has grown in the last few months. I kid you not, this guy’s rhymes on this jam are really on point. I don’t think people will make fun of him after this.

Byzzo The Baddest also came through on the hook. He really nailed it. Although it’s a phrase that we’re all used to by now, there’s a way he says it with a deep bass that makes it awesome to listen to but then again maybe it’s just me.

The beat on this jam is also commendable. As you are listening to it, you can picture people dancing while its blasting in the background. Props to the producer.

The video concept was simple but I feel it works for this kind of song. One of the things that stood out, at least for me was the lit dance moves by the young choreographers. I could not get enough of it.

Unlike most men from this generation, singer Stivo Simple boy is one proud man to admit that he is a virgin.

The ‘Mihadarati’ singer revealed this while speaking during a recent interview on Milele FM where he confessed to being a virgin.

Simple went on to respond saying;
