Socialite, Efia Odo has admonished Ghanaian parents to teach their wards to be independent.

The TV presenter registering her concern in a tweet bemoaned how female wards are brought up in an African home..

According to her, most parents bring up their wards with thoughts of marrying rich men.

She stressed that African mothers usually put pressure on their daughters to marry

rich men instead of goodness or love and barely instill independence in daughters making them

rely on men financially each day.

Efia Odo has therefore admonished African mothers to teach their daughters to be independent.

She writes:

“At a young age, most African daughters are taught to marry a rich man. Mothers usually putting pressure on the marriage of richness, not goodness or love.

Barely instilled independence in daughters, everyday depend on a man for financial means. Teach your daughters independency.”

Born Andrea Owusu, Efia Odo is a Ghanaian budding actress and TV presenter who hails from

Juaben in the Ashanti Region.

Efia hit the limelight about a year ago when she started posting sexy photos of herself on Instagram.

The TV presenter has been attacked again on social media over her recent post.

Efia Odo posted a semi-nude photograph on her Instagram account

and it seems some of her fans are not happy about it.

The born-again TV star after taking it upon herself to educate her

followers on her IG page on how to stay away from sin got a shocking reaction from a rude fan.

“what man in his rightful mind will get married to this?” Anilove56 said.

Efia Odo who did not hesitate in replying her back said, “tag your grandfather and see if he no go like ofui”.

Ghanaian socialite, Andrea Owusu, popularly known as Efia Ood says she lives a boring life.

The actress and TV presenter, on opening up about her social life has stated that she is not as sociable as many believe she is.

According to her, many people believe she is an outgoing person as a result of the personality she portrays on social media.

Speaking on Showbiz927 on 3FM, Efia Odo said she likes to keep to herself most times.

“I like my own space. The country that I am in, everybody takes things the wrong way, so I would rather stay to myself and be in my own space. If I am not at work, I am home.

“Once in a while, I go to my hair stylist’s house or go sit somewhere. I have a really boring life but it’s a little exciting,” she detailed.

She stated that her hair styles and posturing on social media is normal to her, contrary to what some critics believe is a ‘wild’ lifestyle.

“This is normal for me but for you it’s extreme. I don’t think about anything I just do it, I’m an extremist. I think when I go high, I go high and when I go low, I go low. My style is crazy in this country,” she noted.

She also mentioned that her career in acting started in America where she grew up, and that acting comes naturally for her.

However, she said she enrolled in college to take some drama lessons to improve her acting skills.

“Acting is not just acting, it is you putting yourself in a situation, you are taking a different role. It gives you time to fill in the shoes of the character you are coming to play.”

When asked how well the Ghanaian movie industry is doing she said,

“Obviously the movie industry in Ghana is not doing well, from the time I used to watch African movies and Ghanaian movies was when ‘Beyoncé’ came out.

“During that time, Venus Films was making movies like every day. It was high especially back home in New York a lot of the Jamaicans love African movies. The Caribbean’s love our movies.

But now there has been a decline…and maybe we don’t support each other a lot but you see how ‘The Black Panther’ came out, massive.”

Revloe, boyfriend of actress and TV presenter, Efia Odo is reported to have impregnated another lady.

According to the post sighted by Ghaflagh.com on Instagram account ‘Thosecalledcelebs’,

the lady is reportedly three months pregnant already.

The post went on to claim that Revloe had not yet denied or confirmed that the lady

was pregnant or if the pregnancy was his.

An excerpt of the post read, “I was der one afternoon and i got a whole lot of messages from a lady….all her story is dat…her friend is pregnant for Revloe…dax Efiaodo supposed future husband in dream.”

The account further stated that even though Revloe and the said lady were in a ‘complicated’

relationship, Efia Odo was not happy about the fact the lady was allegedly pregnant for her boyfriend.

The post claimed Efia Odo always got angry when her boyfriend Revloe reportedly visited

the house of the alleged pregnant woman.

“…wen kwaku go to de lady’s house to give her chop money kraaa…der is fire on de mountain. …Efia kako go vex,” the post revealed.

‘Thosecalledcelebs’ went on to indicate that Revloe had reportedly settled to let the lady have

an abortion but the lady’s mother was not in support of the idea.

Actress and socialite, Andrea Owusu widely known in showbiz as Efia Odo has debunked rumors of having a ‘beef’ with colleague actress and producer Yvonne Nelson.

It was widely speculated that the two actresses were having issues with each other few months ago. The genesis of the rumors was when Efia couldn’t appear in the season 3 of the movie ‘Heels and Snakear’, which was produced by Yvonne Nelson.

Speaking on the issue, Efia explained that her absence was not because of any beef. Rather, because she was out of the country at the time of the shooting.

Explaining why her pictures with Yvonne are off her social media pages, the ‘She Prayed’ actress answered that those pictures are in her archives.

According to her, she mostly archives her Instagram photos but does not delete them as the public believes. She added that all her pictures with the newly-born mother are still on her Instagram page but not deleted as some people think.

However, Efia couldn’t fathom why Ghanaians would think she has an issue with Yvonne Nelson just because their pictures are missing on her Instagram page and for the fact that she did not feature in the season three of ‘Heels and Sneakers’ movie.

She continued to ask that “even if we have an issue, what is your business in it?”.

The actress, says, she believes her life after entertainment is nobody’s business so she owes no one explanations to her private life.

The ‘Royal Diadem’ actress noted that she got more followers on social media than the movies she has starred in. This she explained is because of her sexy pictures she posts there.

Aside her social media ‘sexy’ body display, the 26 years old also added that her outspoken personality is a factor to her popularity.

“I made my name because of Instagram and because of the kind of pictures I post on social media. I’ve read comments that people ask ‘why is this girl a celebrity’? And it’s not like I haven’t done movies but I haven’t done a lot for my name to be popular. It’s all about my Instagram pictures, my provocative ways or my outspoken personality and not because of my movies. Some people will think is because of ‘Heels and Sneakers’ but I have been shooting before ‘Heels and Sneakers’. So it’s not because of the movies that I’m known for Efia Odo but I’m known because of social media.”

Efia Odo works as a nurse assistant in the US and makes good money for herself.

The vivacious actress said directors and producers are not giving her roles to play. This was when she was asked why she is not mostly features in movies.

“It’s not my fault that I’m not referred to as a known actress because they aren’t calling me. They aren’t giving me jobs. Kofi Asamoah said the reason why he always casts the known faces in his movies is because they are good to him. They respect his works and will not waste his time to go and call the up and coming actors since they are disrespectful. But I can’t speak for them because I’m not like that but he (Kofi Asamoah) doesn’t know that, she added.
