I Don’t Spend My Money On Girlfriends – Kalybos

Comic actor Richard Kwaku Asante widely known as Kalybos says he doesn’t squander his money on women.

According to him, he’s not obliged to cater for a woman he isn’t married to.

Kalybos made this revelation when he appeared on one of the episodes of ‘Celebrity Ride with Ziofelix’ few days ago.

Asked if he takes care of ‘girls’, Kalybos explained that dating or courting a lady doesn’t mean you should carry the burdens of catering for her. He added that he has family members to cater for instead of squandering his money on women.

According to him, he was catered for by his father, which means he wasn’t buying anything for himself. Catering for someone hence means you providing the basic necessities of the person.

Kalybos is of the notion that a lady must be able to cater for herself and not put all the burdens on her man.

However, he added that, spending on your girlfriend once in a while are gestures that only spice up the relationship.

Kalybos speaks;

“The lady I’m dating now is working. I’m not married to you, why then must I be the one to cater for you. Taking your lady out once in a while, or buying a dress you like for her doesn’t mean you’re catering for her. These are just things we do to spice up things in a relationship,” Kalybos told Zionfelix.

The ‘John and John’ actor disclosed that he’s currently dating only one woman, describing himself as a very ‘faithful’ man.

Kalybos was rumored to be dating comedienne Jacinta but he denied this assertion on the show.

“Jacinta is just a friend, she and I have never even dated,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kalybos is reported to have parted ways with his former boss Kofi Asamoah.

He’s currently running his own comic series dubbed ‘Adventures of Kalybos’

“We’re Muslims And We Don’t Fear Death” – Family of Abedi Pele

Sola Ayew, Brother of football legend Abedi Pele, has rebuked the pastor who prophesied that the football maestro will die this year.

According to Sola Ayew, his family is a Muslim family and by the doctrines of Islam it is believed everyone will die some day, so they don’t fear death.

Instead, he indicated that the pastor should rather focus on protecting his life and family from death and leave the Ayews alone. He further mentioned that their family has seen several deaths and have embraced it wholeheartedly.

Tell the pastor that we don’t fear death in our family. We are Muslims and we don’t fear death. Our mother Madam Adiza died. Our father Mr. Ayew also died and our brother Brimah also died,” he told Pulse.com.gh in an interview.

He challenged the pastor to come out with the exact dates the deaths he prophesied will occur if indeed it was God who revealed to him.

The obviously peeved Sola Ayew also urged Ghanaians to ignore such false and attention seeking prophets.  Adding that they (Ayews) are not moved and will not approach the pastor like he is expecting them to.

“If the pastor claims he knows the date of death of my brother let him name it. Or tell him to focus on saving himself from dying. He will also die one day.

We will not approach him because he is not God. Our living and death is all in the hands of God and when He decides we will accept it like those in our family who have died previously.” He said.

Prophet Reindolph Oduro Gyebi shockingly predicted that Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars will be involved in a fatal plane crash in September this year.

His Prophecy;

”There is a planned plane crash by the devil to hit the Black Stars team in September, therefore I am trying to reach the head Coach Kwesi Appiah and other officials to do the needful through God’s direction to prevent such disaster from striking the country.”

According to him, the country’s football legend, Abedi Pele will also die this year.

“While I was praying I saw that Ghanaians celebrating Abedi Pele.. but not in a good way but in a bad way.. so I prayed to God to save him from any unfortunate death,” Prophet Oduro Gyebi said on Abusua FM last Wednesday.

He therefore called on the National Peace Council and government to organize a national day of fasting and prayers for the nation to avert more gory disasters.

Prophet Reindolph Oduro Gyebi is the General Overseer of God’s Crown Chapel in Kumasi.

The Pepper Dem Gang Are Setting The Record Straight

Pepper Dem Gang set social media ablaze a couple of weeks ago.

Members of the Pepper Dem Ministries have responded to the claim that they said a woman going to work and cooking for her husband is ‘slavery’.

They released a statement to challenge the notion going around. Moreover, they stated that their enemies were trying to discredit them.

In their statement, they tried to debunk the assertion attributed to one of their members.

Read statement From Pepper Dem Gang

In the last few weeks, there have been discussions on social media, television and radio pertaining to cooking from different angles. We wish to reference one particular angle falsely attributed to PDM. This is that cooking for your husband is slavery and those who do so are slaves. We wish to categorically state that PDM has never made this statement, doesn’t share this opinion and does not align with it nor endorses it.

Below is the statement which we believe has been twisted by propagandists on various media platforms:

“If you want to praise your slaving or hardworking or loving wife, whatever adjective you find suitable, please go ahead without suggesting that she defines what womanhood totally entails.”

To help clarify the meaning of the post in question, we’d like to share some definitions:

A) “SLAVING” defined from the Urban dictionary is

i. putting in overtime hours to get work done when you are getting paid on salary. And thus working for free.

B) “SLAVERY” defined on Google
i. is the practice or system of owning slaves. or

ii. a condition of having to work very hard without proper remuneration or appreciation.

Clearly, “slaving” and “slavery” are not synonymous, plus the contextual meaning of slaving used in the sentence doesn’t suggest that cooking is slavery not to mention that cooking for your husband or family is slavery.

If you have followed us keenly, PDM’s goal is to promote choice, agency, balance and fairness. PDM has members, supporters and allies who support their homes and take delight in cooking for their families.

We believe that our member’s post suggesting that people shouldn’t use the choices their wives make to set standards for all other women has been taken out of context and a storm created unnecessarily out of this.

As an organisation, we understand that adults can and should take decisions that work for them and also honour the dignity of both parties.

More from the statement

As we approach the International Women’s Month, we ask that we all work for progress and build both women and men to treat each other with dignity, especially to make commitments to train our daughters and sons for the challenging dynamics of the future in order to be useful in all spheres of their lives.

We would like to entreat media houses to act professionally and check stories before they run amok with it.

Media houses and people who do not agree with us must desist from these propaganda. We are always available to confirm any statements we make to the press. This is whenever they do their checks on the news of the day.

Five(5) Amazing Health Benefits Of Guava

This inexpensive and humble food is regarded as one of the ‘superfoods’ nature has blessed us with.

The Guava fruit is not found in abundance at grocery stores generally. The reason for this is because it is indigenous to a select few tropical regions. Guavas are most prevalent in the Caribbean and exported to places where they’re in demand.

They are oval in shape with light green or yellow skin and contain edible seeds. They are amazingly rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, potassium and fiber. This remarkable nutrient content gives them many health benefits. Below are three of such health benefits;

1. Cancer prevention

The Guava can maintain many properties that can then combat cancer. In fact, a study has shown the growth of human prostate cancer cells suppressed using Guava leaves.

The study concluded that, “… these findings suggest that guava leaves can interfere with multiple signaling cascades linked with tumorigenesis and provide a source of potential therapeutic compounds for both the prevention and treatment of cancer.”

Besides this, Guava contains plentiful amounts of lycopene. Lycopene may help prevent free radicals from causing damage to the body.

2. Improves Eyesight

Guava is an extremely good source of vitamin A, which is well known as a booster for vision health. It can help slow down the appearance of cataracts, macular degeneration, and improve the overall health of the eyes. It helps protect the cells in your eyes and can also prevent deterioration of eyesight.

3. Regulates High Blood Pressure

Guava helps reduce cholesterol in the blood and prevents it from thickening, thereby maintaining the fluidity of blood and reducing blood pressure. Studies have shown that the food that lacks fiber (such as refined flour) adds to blood pressure. This fruit, being very rich in fiber and hypoglycemic in nature, helps reduce blood pressure.

4. Improves Brain Health

Another tremendous benefit of guava is the presence of vitamin B3 and B6 in them. Vitamin B3 (also known as niacin) can increase blood flow and stimulates cognitive function, whereas vitamin B6 is a great nutrient for brain and nerve function. Eating guava can help relax the nerves and enhance concentration.

5. Skin Care

Guavas can improve the texture of your skin. They can help you avoid skin problems better than beauty creams and skin toning gels. This is chiefly due to the abundance of astringents available in the fruit (with more astringents present in immature guavas) and in its leaves. Your skin can benefit from either eating the fruits (this helps tighten your muscles apart from your skin) or by rinsing your skin with a decoction of its immature fruit and leaves. It will tone up and tighten the area of loosened skin where it is applied. Guava’s rich antioxidants and detoxifying properties help keep your skin glowing and free from signs of premature aging, wrinkles, and other dermal disorders.
