Photos: Checkout How These11 Ghanaian Celebs Stunned In Kente Cloths

I was very happy when my dictionary gave me the definition of kente as a ‘type of fabric made of interwoven cloth strips native to GHANA’

The Kente cloth is something Ghanaians don’t joke with. It is made in an artistic way that being spotted in Kente means a lot.

Yes, as mentioned earlier, the Kente cloth identifies a Ghanaian from a group of people.

It is mainly worn during important events such as anniversaries, weddings, christening etc.

Now, as the government continues to create awareness to encourage indigenes to patronize and use locally manufactured goods, it is only wise that we paid attention.

After all, charity, they say begin at home. We going in for these products more than other foreign ones will help our products to be accepted and patronized by others.

In that regard, some celebrities have been ‘slaying’ a lot in our fabrics these days, from the Ankara fabrics to Kente and then the smock.

Daughters Of Glorious Jesus Introduce Young Group To Take Over From Them

The Daughters of Glorious Jesus emerged on the Ghanaian musical scene in 1990 with their hit song Anwanwa Do. Two years later, in 1992, the group came out with Mebo Yesu Din Daa.

However, this was just the beginning of a long and successful music career.

After almost 30 years of thrilling Ghanaians with electrifying gospel songs have set yet another milestone in the industry.

The group, has endorsed and introduced into the industry a trio whom they believe will continue on the same path with the stage name, ‘Double D’.

Double D

Double D, stands for “Daughters of Daughters of Glorious Jesus.”

This can only mean that this youngsters are coming with double versions of the blessings of their predecessors.

The introduction of Double D happened exclusively in the studio of Adom FM during the station’s “Adom Live Worship” show.

Right after this, there was a masterclass performance at the “Back2Back concert” organised at the Charismatic Evangelical Ministry, East Legon.

The new trio showed beyond doubt that they have prospects for the future. Their performance, voice quality, stagecraft and connection with the audience set them apart from the rest.

According to one of the members, they owe who they are today to a pastor who mentored them. This Pastor, she added gave them the exposure and chance to be where they wanted to be.

She added that their story inspired them to also adopt Double D and motivate them in whatever way possible and set them on the right path.

“This is an action worth recommending. If our senior musicians will all adopt someone as Joe Mettle and Daughters have shown with Luigi and the Double D, the gospel industry will not lack good content…,” she maintained.

Another member, Christiana said: “We complain about good content like the old people but most of them go to their grave without leaving behind anything for their next generation…

The trio urged Ghanaians to support their craft and appreciate them just as they did with “Daughters of Glorious Jesus”.

“It’s time the body of Christ gives the Double D the needed support and push as Daughters got and I am sure this young music group, the new daughters (Double D) will succeed…” They added.

Daughters of Glorious Jesus comprise of two sisters and a friend. It is made up of Cynthia Appiadu , Edna Sarpong, and Monica Owusu Ansah . Cynthia, the youngest, writes and composes most of the songs of the group and she is the lead singer as well.

The trio is one of a few groups including, Tagoe sisters, Alabaster box and Soul Winners, that have braved the odds, and stuck together for years. They have adorned the music industry with classic hit songs that will live after their exit.

Health Alert: Stop The Use Of Vaginal Tightening Creams, They Will Make You Infertile – Gynecologists Warns

One cream that is currently being sold in Ghana like sachet water is ‘Vaginal tightening creams’.

These creams have clogged into the Ghanaian market as if they contain oxygen.

They come in different types, sizes and brands and are currently the topic of discussion where two or more women are gathered.

Not only that but they are also heavily advertised on the various airwaves and social media platforms.

A few celebrities are also brand ambassadors of these creams or companies producing them.

As a result, almost every lady in Ghana now has some of these creams or wash in their washrooms.

Many are trying it because they were referenced by their friends who have used and claim they’re good.

Some are also trying it just because of curiosity and others too because of peer pressure.

But the question is do these vaginal wash and creams really solve the problem for which they’re being used?

If yes, then are they really safe to use, don’t the have side effects, can they be used without a doctor’s recommendation.

What then are vaginal tightening creams/gel or pills?

It is believed that these creams increase the feeling in the vaginal walls and muscles by making them tighter. As a result, they increase libido in women. Others also state that they enable quicker lubrication which reduces any side effects of dry vaginal walls such as wounds or cuts.

Many of these Ghanaian women use them to tighten the walls of their vaginas in order to please their partners. They believe that men love tight h*les, hence these creams is their savior.

The vagina, as we all know is elastic in nature. Hence, there are many women who complain of having loose vaginas after child birth. However, there are women who are born with loose vaginas. They therefore believe that, using these creams/gels will help tighten them a bit.

However, Dr. Titus Beyou, a gynaecologist has explained that claims that such creams/gels/pills are effective in tightening the walls of the vagina is completely false.

Instead, Dr. Titus stated that these products cause infections and have serious health implications on the women who use them.

The vagina as it is known is a self-cleaning organ and all that one requires to wash it is plain water and nothing else.

Dr. Titus was speaking to Kwame Tutu on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm.

According to him, the majority of yeast infections reported at the hospital were as a result of the use of these tightening creams and products. He stated that not only did these harmful products cause infections, they also cause infertility as well.

‘’You only need water and not creams or drugs. The use of such creams will only cause infertility and infections in women,’’ he warned.
