Kenyan artists have sure had enough with getting peanuts from the regulators and just need a break.

Well, this has fallen on deaf ears after sultry singer, Laika got worse peanuts from online music distributor, Ngomma VAS.

MCSK´s Ksh 2,530 royalty pay to artists caused enough uproar. So what now does Laika do after receiving a meager Ksh 45 from Ngomma VAS?

Breaking the news on Twitter, the lass took a screenshot of an M-Pesa message she received from the distributor and shared it with fans.

Alongside that, is a breakdown of the expenses her shoot cost her in the first place. A whooping Ksh 405,000 against a mere Ksh 45.

During his interview with Milele FM, Eric opened up on what ´celebrity status´ can make one do.

If you´re a public figure or celebrity and struggling in life, it´s easy for you to end up being depressed. You can do bad things such as steal to get your daily bread because you´re popular, and you´ll suffer.

Even months into his career, the future was not promising. Unfortunately, the public did not understand how Eric Omondi would board a matatu.

5 months after I joined Churchill Show, I became very famous but was so broke. Whenever I went to board a matatu, people would think I´m shooting something.

So it compelled him to approach his boss, Mwalimu Churchill whose impact saw Eric´s career take a different turn.

Everytime I would ask Churchill ´Why don´t I have money yet people think I´m rich?´ He advised me to get a manager who would help me secure shows, where I would perform and make money.

Nigerian superstar, Wizkid clarifies why canceled his busy schedule to attend Diamond´s ongoing Wasafi Festival 2019.

Controversy after Wema Sepetu ranks Diamond´s music second to Ali Kiba´s

Tanzanian beauty queen, Wema Sepetu has come out to rank Ali Kiba´s music as better than her ex´s, Diamond.

12th November, while speaking to ´Global Publishers´, Sepetu declared her stand on who between the two bongo empires has greater music prowess.

She kids you not! Kiba remains her pick for the day. According to her, there is no need to explain because obviously, Kiba beats Diamond at his game.

Comedian Chipukee is unhappy with how Kenyans tend to ignore the important things then later on pretend to care when tragedy strikes.

In a new post shared on his Instagram page, the comedian came out strongly to accuse Kenyans for ignoring Ayeiya when he was struggling with depression; but after his untimely death, bloggers, friends and family sending messages of condolences like they cared.

It is quite sad that the same thing has occurred with the late Mswahili who is said to have battled depression for long before his death.

In a post shared by Chipukeezy on his Instagram page, he blamed Kenyans for always stepping up last minute – he went on to say;

Njenga Mswahili who will forever remain among the top hilarious comedians in the country will be laid to rest later today.

The young entertainer met his untimely death about a week ago and according to the stories making rounds on social media, the late comedian’s body was ran over by a train but details about his death remain on the low.

In a press release posted by the Laugh Industry, they wrote saying;

It with deep regrets that Laugh Industry announces the death of one popular comedian who graced our program on TV the Churchill Show in its early years, James Anthony Njenga AKA _Njenga Mswahili,_ was found dead on rail tracks this morning after being hit by a train, it is not clear under which circumstances this fate befell him, but police are been involved and more will be divulged later.
It must be acknowledged that he has not been well and as an entity we have been involved in his well being by taking him to rehabilitation programme for some time together with family and friends.
Sorrow is such a creative life cut short!
We join the family in preparation of his interment . For now, we wish you join us and his immediate in celebrating the life and times of this great creative comedian who graced #ChurchillShow and #ChurchillRaw programs amongst other events.

Eric Omondi who was among the comedians who friends with the late Njenga Mswahili recently revealed that before his death, the comedian had been struggling with depression for a while – and even reached out to Eric Omondi but unfortunately things did not work out as planned.

Singer Rosa Ree arrested and banned from releasing new music

Tanzanian singer Rosa Ree is currently in police custody thanks to Timmy Tdats Vitamin U music which she took part in.

From the stories making rounds on social media, we understand that the lady was recently summoned by Tanzanian film board, who have now banned her from releasing any music for 6 months.

This comes shortly after Kenya’s Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Film Classification Board Ezekiel Mutua demanded the song to be pulled down due to its raunchy content.

With Rosa Ree in trouble for a project she was featured in, her bae Timmy Tdat has taken down the video to protect her.

He went on to open up about this while speaking during an interview on Mseto East Africa.

Nyashinski takes up new names in recent Gazette Notice

Kenyan music mover and shaker, Nyashinski will no longer be addressed as we used to. This is through a new gazette notice that has had him drop one of his names.

Formerly referred to as ¨Inyatta Nyamari Ongegu¨, his official names are now ¨Nyamari Ongegu¨.

This is an announcement made in a public gazette notice issued on the 1st of November. It reads:

Notice is given that by a deed poll dated the 10th April 2019 duly executed and registered in the registry of Documents at Nairobi. Formerly known as Inyatta Nyamari Ongegu formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the use of his former name Inyatta Nyamari Ongegu, and in lieu thereof assumed and adopted the name Nyamari Ongegu, for all purposes and authorizes and requests all persons at all times to designate, describe and address him by his assumed name Nyamari Ongegu only.

Timmy Tdat reveals the main reason he pulled down ‘Vitamin U’ raunchy music video

Remember when Sauti Sol dropped Nishike and everybody thought this the video was too explicit? Well, this all changed when Timmy Tdat dropped Vitamin U featuring Rosa Ree.

 The visuals to Vitamin U were nothing like most Kenyan music lovers would have expected; Timmy Tdat and his lady stripped leaving to imagination as they gave their fans an up-close look of their birthday suits.

With the video available on YouTube to viewers of different age groups, Ezekiel Mutua could not stomach this and demanded for the video to be pulled down as he wrote to Google asking them to delete it.

Well, it took Timmy Tdat sometime before finally pulling the video down and according to him — he did this for Rosa Ree who apparently got into trouble with the Tanzanian government.

Rapper Prezzo has come out to defend himself from a story claiming he is currently receiving treatment at the Karen hospital after being drugged and raped by several women.

The story which was first highlighted by a Tanzanian blog has left many shocked with the news as it claims Prezzo got assaulted by 3 unknown women.

Swahili Times went on to announce the news saying;

Diana Marua hasn´t had her best postpartum moments and this is because – There was no reliable support system.

Soon after delivering baby Heaven, she sank into depression. Yes, she had a hubby and a nanny at bay but she would end up overwhelmed at the end of the day due to maternal demands.

Her hubby, Bahati became busy. Meanwhile, Diana had done all she could to get her baby to mute but Heaven kept crying.
