Mother of 5, Akothee meant her word when she declared she will be awarding her ¨YouTube Fan of the Year¨ according to her own terms and she kept her promise.

How she arrived at her scores, only she knows because it seems she already had a name in mind but her final question was:

my question to the winner is ,from the 30,000 ksh you will receive from me today, are you willing to donate some to the needy ?

A question that needed an answer once the winner was named and the cash in the bank.

Akothee´s basic reasoning was; you don´t have to be wealthy for you to extend a helping hand. It is with the little you have, that can make a big difference in someone´s life.

Her winner is a fan identified as ¨Emmanuel Onu¨ who might have been accorded the privilege after listing the sultry singer´s songs since her debut.

According to Mr Emmanuel, he has been closely paying keen attention to her work ´since her first interview with ex-NTV journalist, Larry Madowo´.

The businesswoman then asked for his bank details, Mpesa number and every other detail necessary so that he can receive the promised amount.

Fans and followers lauded the fan for bagging a whooping Ksh 30,000 home admitting that he was indeed deserving of the amount.

Akothee’s manager Nelly Oaks finally reveals why the singer fainted while in stage

Nelly Oaks who is singer Akothee’s manager has finally come out to talk about the singer’s health and why she passed out while performing during the Luo Festival in Kisumu.

According to Nelly Oaks, singer Akothee had not rested much after leaving Karen hospital where she had been hospitalized about two weeks ago.

Apparently Akothee went straight into rehearsals since she did not want to disappoint her fans during the Luo festival show. He went on to open up saying;

“She is in Kisumu still resting at the Acacia Hotel and trying to recover because she went into heavy activity just after checking out of the hospital and went straight into rehearsals she didn’t want to disappoint her fans,”

He went on to add that moving up and down during her performance left her exhausted and this is how she lost her breath and passed out.

“She had actually run her set for 45 minutes and it was during the last 30 seconds of the last song that the unfortunate incident happened. She had lost lots of breath because of the up and down activity. So that’s what forced her to faint but the good news is we got her to the car and we didn’t have to go all the way to the hospital because she recovered slowly and we gave her vitamins and juice and she was back to normal,”

As for now Akothee will continue with her bed rest until her doctors confirm she is ready to perform again.

She has been recommended bed rest and she is headed to her home in Rongo where she is going to rest for at least two weeks

Madame boss singer Akothee is currently receiving treatment at an unknown hospital moments after she revealed to be unwell.

The singer says that her busy schedule and workaholic behavior is the reason she is currently in hospital as she collapsed and fainted due to lack of sleep and rest.

In a new post shared on her Instagram, Akothee assured fans and family that she is okay and things are not as serious as bloggers have been putting it.

So far the singer has 5 beautiful kids who she flaunts on her social media pages for the world to see. Looking at how they carry themselves it’s evident to see that Akothee has definitely put in some work to ensure they are disciplined and never lack anything.

Singer Akothee has always been open about her life and money!

So far we all know that she has been working hard for her money and despite many thinking that child support is the reason she is wealthy, then you are wrong.

In a post shared a few years ago Akothee revealed that she started off from zero and only her hard work put her where she is right now.

Singer Akothee is one of the very few celebrities in Kenya who keep their private lives off social media.

So far it’s evident to see that the mother of 5 is not shy about her past and the hardships that helped build the woman she is today.

Akothee opens up about being mistreated by promoter during her show in the US

Singer Akothee is quite disappointed by one Sarah Okindo who invited her for a show which went down in Minneapolis, Minnesota this past weekend.

According to Akothee, the promoter not only frustrated her during her stay in the US by not providing a driver to pick her from the hotel;  but also canceled her return flight, left her with an unpaid hotel and did not give her the donations agreed upon for the Akothee foundation.

In a lengthy detailed post shared by the singer, Akothee wrote saying;

Mum I hope all I will say here is truth and God be my witness. You invited me to Minneapolis based on you wanting to promote and support Akothee foundation, My guts refused several times and I told my management I had other commitments in Nigeria on the 2nd, I was forced to cancel my flight to attend mineapolis show????????, @rumbanotes had paid for return flights on the 31st from Dallas to Paris, you ordered my manager to cancel the tickets and that you will buy new tickets for the 4th from mineapolis, ,Seattle Paris????, 4 days before the show ,you changed the venue and asked my manager tomake a new poster for new venue which he did, wanted prior dinner with me and your friends and I told my management that I dont engage before my perfomance, this was for your own good, you said you had people who wanted to donate for Akothee foundation, and manager told you that we can do that after the show????????, you came to the airport with your family with just one car ????well I love children so it wasn’t a problem for me,but we could hardly fit in????, you checked me into a budget hotel,I still kept my calm ,I was tired so I slept , the following day , you only checked Me into the hotel at 7.30 PM, I needed rest ,so I slept for 2 hours and was awake by 10.00 PM, I was ready for the show by 12.00 but there was no car to take me to the venue ,and you had not given the manager the balance ???? , you came to pick me up at 1.30 and we arrived at the venue at 2.00am

Since the lady picked Akothee late, the singer says that the promoter decided to drive at a high speed since fans had already grown tired of waiting for the show and were now leaving. Akothee went on to add saying;

I was happy to see my bed ????????you then became mad as to why I was taken to the hotel with your car, mom how was I supposed to get back ? You then got your car back. Akothee feels that it’s about time Kenyans gathered together for prayers since it appears most people have forgotten the power of prayers.

This was seen in one of her latest posts where Akothee went on to reveal that she has been receiving many direct messages from suicidal people.

According to Akothee, most refuse to reveal why they want to take their own lives but the singer feels that prayers will help solve this. Through her Instagram page the lady wrote;

A few weeks ago, we had a poll where we asked you to pick whose concert you would attend among Willy Paul, Khaligraph Jones and Timmy Tdat and get value for your money because, let’s face it, we all attend gigs to be entertained.

I later realized that I had not featured any female artist on that poll and that’s why I decided to do a female version of it to see who you think can really own the stage from a list of three of the most sought after Kenyan female artists i.e. Akothee, Fena Gitu and Size 8.

Word making rounds on social media is that Akothee is expecting her 6th child.

The singer announced this through her Instagram page where she joked about how sharp the owner of the pregnancy was. She captioned the photo saying;

Having been married at a very young age, the singer conceived 3 girls with her first husband and this is where she started experiencing the bitter life. The singer says she went through so much to a point where she decided to leave her man and focus on her girls.

Before the fame and money, singer Akothee was just another village girl trying to survive in this harsh world. The singer has never been ashamed of her past or who she has now become.

This past Monday, Akothee decided to celebrate her daughters father ‘Jared’ as her Man crush Monday on her Instagram page; where she also opened up about their life together before.

As many already know – Akothee was first married to her village lover and had three girls with him. However seems that things between them did not work out as planned and the two had to split up.

Like the thoughts of a mother, in order to see your children survive the test of time and still sustain yourself.

The then mother of 3 chose to reap benefits long term.

So, I decided to put up a business ,

I went to kisii daraja mbilli and bought stock of omena, tomatoes and cabbages ,

I started a grocery in our local market Kanga????????,

However, it still pained Akothee´s mother to see the fruits of her own labor, waste away due to life choices she had made.

My mum was always ashamed when she saw her learned , bright intelligent daughter selling omena yet we came from a good family,

But I had messed up and grew wings I could not fit in my mothers house anymore with a hand full of children ,

I grew wings I had to fly ,

Back to the main agenda, the International baby mama still respects her first baby daddy because it was through him that she was able to bloom.

My grocery grew and I rented a shop , then I expanded my business into selling cloths ,

Philanthropist Akothee to host Kenya´s music industry bigwigs during her farewell concert this weekend, before flying out indefinitely

Self-procalimed ´Madam Boss´ is now saved, set to venture into the music industry as well as move to Europe indefinitely.

This weekend, the Kenyan singer has a concert right at Uhuru Gardens to bid her fans goodbye.

Up and close with Mpasho, the mother of 5 stated:

We´re having a concert on the 14th and I have all the support from all the celebrities.

The reason as to why I´m having this concert during the day is because I am moving to Europe because my family is there.

Oyoo and Ojwang [her sons] need me.

Additionally, she has been and continues to be a philanthropist:

Its all charity relief fund for areas affected by drought in Northern parts of Kenya.

And we are trying to look for a long term solution, whereby we are trying to build boreholes, put up medical and rescue centers.

Akothee denies she’s helping people because she wants to join politics soon

Singer Akothee has been dominating media reports lately as she tries to make a change in the society.

It all started when she traveled to Turkana to help the residents there who were starving. The singer donated food and several tanks of water in an effort to help the community.

Akothee was recently forced to deny that she’s doing all these things as a soft campaign since she might be joining politics soon.

“I am not joining politics any time soon , but I believe its  my Responsibility as a citizen to participate in the wellbeing of my environment, if all of us had the same spirit of checking in our leaders, supporting them as we place our grievances, I believe there will be change, Imagine if we had the whole Nairobi come out today to clean and clear the sewage, ahead of the rains, we won’t have regrets when the heavy rains falls, but because we believe we voted someone in for that matter, that’s where we go wrong ,! Did we follow up ? Have we taken responsibility of our well being or our neighbors? ” Akothee said.

Change

She added that she’s just using her platform to make a change and believe Kenyans should do the same instead of waiting for things to happen then rush to social media to cry out.

“Our environment and economy ? Do we attend the public meetings or we watch TV at Homes and wait to scream on social media ? I think most of our leaders are approachable, and we can use this platform to bring change other than lamenting and cursing I BELIEVE IN CHANGE. It starts with you,” she said.
