Betty Kyallo spent millions of shillings to buy herself a brand new car following the mishap with the Porsche Cayenne which was taken away.
The KTN anchor was thought to be the original owner of the Kes 13 million German machine but the vehicle’s registration details confirmed it was owned by another person.
The Porsche Cayenne said to be Betty’s was seen branded with Hassan Joho’s picture and painted with ODM colors, it was among the governor’s posh campaign vehicles.
Well, Betty has acquired her own French machine, the KTN anchor spent at least 2.5 million shillings to buy a brand new Renault Megane.

Renault Megane comes in different variants, the manual version goes for $22,490 or Kes 2,320,968 in the international market while seven-speed dual-clutch transmission retails for $24,990 or Kes 2,578,968. (The car cost much more in Kenya.)

Though we know Janet Mbugua is a woman who has shown interest in supporting other ladies through her program – I must admit that I never thought she would have followed up with Betty Kyallo’s message.
Their is no doubt that KTN news anchor Betty Kyallo is among the top celebrated female anchors that have managed to win the hearts of many Kenyans.
However, not many know some of the struggles they go through. Well, Betty Kyallo has decided to open up about one of the advices she was given by friends to make her voice sound ‘better’ when reading news.
Speaking to the Standard Insight, Betty confessed to say;

“I was told that whisky would make my voice husky and that smoking would make it deeper. But of course these were never an option for me.”
She went on to add that a former colleague James karani once advised that she should try taking some Yoghurt for her voice, but according to Betty Kyallo it did not work out as she expected.
“James Karani (former KTN anchor) convinced me to take yoghurt before going on air to make my voice softer. I do not know if he was being serious or playful because I ended with my mouth being full of saliva. I had to pause and swallow in between sentences while reading news,”
But since her break up with her ex husband Dennis Okari, Betty says that she has learnt that she cannot keep letting everyone tell her what to do. For once she can say no and live her life without trying to impress anyone.
“When I was going through a rough patch, I made a conscious decision not to let what other people said or thought get to me. We all have the freedom to live as we want and make mistakes. I will not let other people’s expectations of me dictate my life,”
According to her…for now she will continue living a normal life that will not be affected by her status in the media industry. She concluded by saying;
“Most people do not realise that there is the career aspect of Betty and a private life. At the end of the day, people forget that I am human and supposed to live my own life. I am not special, it is just that my output is seen on a public platform. I go through the same things other people go through.”
Section of Kenyans caught a major one after Betty Kyallo gave a hint of the political affiliation Nasa/Jubilee she was supporting.
Jubilee and Nasa supports traded burbs on Betty Kyallo’s timeline on Facebook after the KTN anchor appeared to be supporting Nasa coalition.
Betty posted an ambiguous message on her Facebook page and everyone interpreted the message in their own way resulting to chaos on her timeline.

Jubilee supporters thought Betty was pro Nasa and went HAM on her while Nasa supporters praised the KTN anchor for choosing the path to Canaan.

The lady revealed this through her social media pages where she hints about her personal life and probably why she chose to walk away from marriage a few months after her high profiled wedding.

Bipolar II is similar to bipolar I disorder, with moods cycling between high and low over time.
However, in bipolar II disorder, the “up” moods never reach full-blown mania or rather never get out of hand.
In an interview with The Standard, Brian Msafari opened up about his story which has touched many who did not know that he was going through a situation that has saw him come out as a conqueror thanks to his supportive family. He said,
“ I have a bipolar 2 disorder so it never gets to the point of suicide or self-harm. I just go through periods where I am so low, a period where every day is a bad day, and no matter how much alcohol you take it does not give you a high. In fact, nothing you do or take can get rid of the dark clouds in your life; You are trapped in a depressive State. Imagine having continuous bad days that will just not let up no matter what you do. Then when you are on a manic stage you feel like you can conquer the world, and during this stage, I can even do three days straight of no sleep and in the past, I would be doing two or three projects at ago and somehow manage.”
Brian went on to add how his sister, Betty Kyallo has been supportive for the last 3 years saying;
“I have been dealing with depression as a result of bipolar for the last 3 years. Betty was always there for me even despite the fact that she was also going through her own struggles. She would go for Check ups with me and walked with me every step of the way.”
Betty Kyallo on other hand shared the beautiful message below congratulating her brother for being brace enough to share his story with the world. He said;

“It happened in 2003 I was in form 3. You can imagine you are 17 years and you loose half of your face. It was really devastating….I was in hospital for about 2 and a half months, I went through 7 surgeries because my ribs and jaw were broken.”
She went on to talk about the reason why her boyfriend dumped her back in high school and why she never took it the wrong way.
” I remember the guy I was dating that time in high school… he dumped me…he left,..I mean it’s life…I don’t blame him..imagine your pretty chic all of a sudden she is not pretty… Half of her face is a scar.”

KTN anchor Betty Kyallo cruises in a top of the range German machine that is owned by Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
Sometimes in February 2017, it was revealed that Betty Kyallo owned the Porsche Cayenne KCG 001J which was parked at Standard Group headquarters on Mombasa Road.
Well, Ghafla! can now authoritatively say that the Porsche Cayenne KCG 001J is owned by Joho Ali Hassan. This was confirmed after verifying the vehicle’s legal ownership/registration on NTSA and KRA platforms.
According to the information derived from KRA, the Porsche Cayenne was manufactured in 2015 – so there is a high probability that Hassan Joho bought a brand new SUV and gave it to Betty Kyallo.
Joho and Betty Kyallo are rumored to be secret lovers, the Sultan was said to the reason why Betty’s marriage to Dennis Okari crumbled.
Meanwhile the Mombasa governor also owns a Rolls Royce KBR 001R. This information was revealed to the public when KRA moved to court on March 30th seeking the prohibitive order against Governor Joho claiming that he had evaded paying tax.
The court heard that despite declaring nil tax returns, Joho is the registered owner of two high-end motor vehicles, a Rolls Royce KBR 001R and a Porsche Cayenne KCG001J (the one Betty Kyallo drives).
Justice Hedwig Ong’udi of the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Division of the High Court barred Joho from accessing Kes37 million held at Stanbic Bank until KRA completed a tax returns assessment.
Joho’s woes have however been attributed to his clash with President Uhuru Kenyatta, the head of state vowed to punish him after the Mtongwe incident.
