Fik Fameica is for sure a super talented artiste and his work is that of international standards. He really knows what he is giving to his audience.

Tell Me is a love song and just like other East African artistes. Fik Fameica has taken the theme for to sell himself.

What message is Fik Fameica passing in Tell Me?

To add on, his work is unique as he has not neglected his mother tongue as he has also delivered the song in Luganda.

Also, his fluency in his language and little mixture in English has given the song a very unique and natural feel.

Although am not in a position to understand Luganda, all I know that this jam is full of love. The way he has invested his emotions in Tell Me is something that tells it all.

Ycee is back with a great tune dubbed Dakun. The jam is freshly from on of Africa’s greatest hit makers. Also there is also this Nigerian vibe that will keep you tuned to this song.

Dakun from Nigeria is just lit more than what to expect from East Africa artistes. This is on another level and for sure it is amazing.

Although the beats are amazing , it is time to understand what is in between the lines as we sing to the tune.

Ycee in Dakun is talking all about love and is so much into this girl that he is begging her. In addition, just like African artistes, Ycee is also love stricken but it is okay. Seems this is what is selling in music.

Maddox a member of the famous Boondocks Gang is back with single hit dubbed RaeRae (Zimenishika). In his jam he has featured the best talents in the market among them The Kansoul and Arrif.

The Kansoul we know how they do things and with Mejja being in the team it has excited fans. The trio has served muisc lovers something very hot.

In the jam Raerae Maddox has come up with a very creative thing as he is also working with the best. When we talk of Ghetto anthems, then Boondocks Gang takes the day.

What is the Raerae hype all about?

Without even trying to get the meaning of the song, the first line tells it all. In Raerae Maddox and his team are describing a sex scene. Honestly I do not understand who told this musicians it is only sex that sells.

Though the Raerae jam is in Sheng’ language, it is easy to get some of the words to send the actual message. In this case, you’ll realize that even the use of drugs is mentioned.

Deep into what Maddox is trying to tell us from the lyrics is where the whole truth lies. In the chorus, the words Raerae are repetitive as they describe the title of the song.

Uwachome na kingoto, Riets zimeshika cheki design fulani Niko jaba nimechonga tu hii majani Na kiwada na kichaser tu ni Konyagi.

Although majority of their songs are more of weed songs, this time Maddox and his team The Kansoul and Arrif are now talking about khat, alcohol and sex.

Nina tingi na nunu imepigwa radi Unapenda kanuthu ama muratish Unapenda mandugu uvue panty Unapenda kiluku uvue shati. Here the girl is being intoxicated so as to be able to participate in sex when she is high.

It is a good thing to promote talent but this is not what I will call talent. This all crap and women are not sexual tools like the Maddox, Arrif and The Kansoul show.

Music needs to be sensible. In conclusion, all factors considered Raerae gets a rating of 4/10.

Ni fanane na wewe is a gospel rhythm. It narrates on how the artist would want his deeds to be what God wants and thus be like him. He narrates he was told a mistake is never a mistake till it’s repeated. Also it is a world full of friends thus watch out friends who love earthly fan.

Redemption is for one to choose between going to heaven or just remain on earth. What matters most is to have and stick to ones faith without concern on what people say. Faith comes through listening and acknowledging Gods word (Bible). The Bible takes away confusion because God is the final and whole truth and everlasting life.

Nifanane Nawe is all about emulating God

Ps Jackes thus takes the chorus lead, ‘nifanane nawe.’ He sings out of all he’s learnt and practiced about the word he’d want to be like Jesus. It involves the repetition of the title, ‘ naomba nifanane nawe.’

He continues the lead asking God to hold his hand there’s a harsh storm. Ps Jackes sings he’d want God to be his friend and teach him the way to follow.

To start with, Sokote is a jam that you don’t wanna miss as it has all the Kenyan hype that will keep you glued to its video.

Dazlah is one talent that Kenyans need to watch as he is being consistent in his work. In a long time now, Dazlah has been hitting the airwaves with his sweet voice.

Utamu is one jam that if you do not know Dazlah is Kenya, you’ll easily liken him to an artiste from the neighboring country Tanzania.

The raw talent from the Kenyan coast has come back with a new love song that is all about the sweetness of a relationship.

To start with, in the song Dazlah talks of nipe utamu mimi nitulie. Also, nikikosa usiniseme.. This two lines just show it is all about love.

Ipo sawa’ is a narrative song which is introduced as the truth. The artists introduces the jam saying it seems people have forgotten about him.

But this time he’s got some task to do and also remind his fans something. He acknowledges soldiers to raise their hand high, as a sign that we are together with them.

The artists sings of some singers who have brought love back. He continues to sing how this can lead to some sacrifices which can be appreciated by disrespect.

Ipo Sawa is all about the truth

He goes ahead to mention Aslay on how he’s lugged behind on his hits. He feels worried and asks whether he’s stuck or rather what’s the cause?

Ganjaro also whom he says since he did hit this year he’s not delivered. It seems he left the industry. He also calls on Wema to see him for music advice, where he claims her time. This might be some plain truth because for sure her songs do not hit anymore.

The chorus part of the jam, is kind of peoples’ opinions. The artist goes ahead to ask the ‘mitumba’ people if the said point ‘iko sawa.’ That’s where the title of the songs comes in. ‘Kusini kaskazini mnaionaje, bodaboda mnasemaje.’ Being a list of agreement indeed it’s a bitter truth pill to swallow.

Nay wa Mitego indeed as the name sounds, it is a trap. Explaining Ipo Sawa on how he’d tell the truth on ones face. Ipo Sawa states he doesn’t fear hate from people, this majorly being fellow artistes. Can we say this targets on majorly the ones negatively mentioned on his hit?

Your Will has been delivered in both Kiswahili and English making it easy for all people to understand. In this song Benachi is also encouraging believers to keep on trusting in Christ.

Makuu is a gospel song in which he is praising God for doing greater things. He has the song filled with a lot of emotions. Although it is his last jam, Jimmy Gait has his vocals right.

To add on, Jimmy Gait is quitting his long time career after he was recently discovered to have a problem and the re-known singer did not want to leave his fans like that.

To start with, we need to understand what Makuu means. Jimmy Gait is talking about God’s doing and says that they are mighty.

Oksyde is taking his work to the next level and his collaboration with Tunji, Monski and Katapilla .

Toka Teke which is done in rap has used the repetition style, which brings out the actual meaning of the song.

It is right to say that this is his best work this year and you are all going to confirm it.

Toka Teke is a jam that is simple to understand as it is taking on competitors.

Also, the song seems to be describing what they do as a gang. It is more of a diss song as they are clap back at their haters in the industry.

Although the video and the audio are well done, honestly in the song there is no vybe. Oksyde being in the game should bring something more serious.

For relevance purposes, it is okay for the collaboration but content wise it is a lie. Toka Teke is so easy and just the simple rap. Seems like in this case there is an a new OG in town. There is more that Oksyde should do because he is a great rapper and no one will take that from him.

In conclusion, Oksyde and the crew only gets a rating of 5/10 in the Toka Teke jam as they did not deliver as expected.

Hamisa Mobetto does it aain with a new tune Sensema. The Tanzanian singer and model has not disappointed. In her new jam, Hamisa features Whozu. Hamisa is Diamonds ex-lover and like a norm she also has followed the roas to music just like the others.

Hamisa Mobetto is a perfect definition of beauty with brains. She is also musically talented. In Sensema she has brought her perfect music side and the Swahili is just amazing.

Sensema is all about love

Sensema is a love song and the message is so clear. To start with, there is a symbolism style used in this jam and for sure it is giving the song a great feel.

Also, Hamisa collaborating with Whozu brings two talents together and they delivered the lines just as expected.

Although the song is good, there is the aspect of women and sex which everyone is trying to bring out. In this case, Hmaisa Mobetto and Whozu are talking of how they are going to take it inside their bedroom once the children are asleep.

Whozu talsk of what he is going to do the lady while in bed as Hamisa Mobetto responds. Honestly it seems like Diamond is giving them the vibe to do sexual music rather than good music.

Actor Baha is grateful for everything he has faced since losing his mother to cancer back in 2013.

The now grown actor recently opened up for the first time about his late mother, Beth Nyambura Mbaya who was also known as Wanade on TV Show – Mother-in-law.

Speaking to Mpasho during his interview, Tyler Mbaya revealed that he missed his late mother’s cooking saying;

“I miss my mother’s food especially mandazi. She used to cook sweet mandazis and packed for us to eat in school. I wish i knew the recipe she used,”

Tyler went on to reveal that losing his mother left him at a tough position since he was a ‘mamas boy’; but now that she was no more the actor says his life took a drastic change.

“Losing parents at a young age made me mature very first and see life differently. I just thank God for everything because you never know who I would have grown into. I was definitely a mama’s boy and all that changed when she passed. Maisha ilinionesha ugumu ingine na nikakauka nayo and turned out to be a better person, a tough one and maybe that was God’s plan for me.”

He’s so talented on the microphone, the stage use and the lyrical flow as well.

The artist is well known among his fans due to his lyrical hits. Among the major hit, ‘siwezi isha mimi si bundles,’ an origin of dandia kama mat song. In my opinion Kristoff is well know, he has established himself so well in that this minor collabos make him settle for less. Upcoming artists should as well be supported but too much of it will eventually cost him among his fans.

Many upcoming fans are struggling to reach the top. Thus their songs can not be a real hit due to the learning the lyrical balance, instrumentation and more. Many artists will think collabos with well known artists make them sell but lets be realistic, if it boring it wont trend as well. This will eventually lead to burying a known legend, this has happened among many.

It is a song done in appreciation and motivating a tree planting project in Dodoma. Also, the project is a motivation of the Whites and the Gogo people.

To add on, trees are a blessing as they have water catchment properties and thus preventing air pollution and also bring rain as well.

This song is done to welcome Ben Pol to Dodoma to assist on the earth taking project.

Boondocks Gang are back, this time on Mangwa. They have featured by Wakuu. It is a great collaboration when Ghetto anthem groups come together. The groups are very talented and for sure their fans are always ready for them.

Boondocks Gang has been rocking the airwaves with their tunes. Coming in for Mangwa gives the Wakuu team a lot of views and a great fan base. One thing you are going to notice is that people love Boondocks Gang.

In the jam Mangwa, it is nothing different from the kind of content these groups give. Mangwa is a sheng word which is mostly used to describe sex. When these people come on board it is either they are talking about women, drugs and sex.

What is the message?

To start with, lets get to understand what Mangwa is all about. The lyrics are very well outlined and very easy to grasp.

Vile amejibeba lazina ntaimanga. In this case the team is talking about a ladies behind. They are also talking about smoking bhang.

Lifestyle pt.II is the second single off Barak Jacuzzi’s upcoming “After Party Music” EP. The tennis instructor has received great support from Tanasha Donna who has been marketing the song on her Instagram account.

The Kenyan-American rapper whose aim is to raise Kenyan music high was recently faced with relationship dramas. Lifestyle song comes in a week after. Barak is a talented rapper and his style is surely different from most locals.

Meaning and relevance of ‘Lifestyle’

Lifestyle is a good song. Deeper into the lyrics you’ll notice the talent Barak posses. To start with, the introduction stanza is dope. It goes like; Sippin on this Puffin on that Me and my niggas dont know how to act Me and my women do not get attatched I be taking them shots in the back of the back of the Whoooo! In the back of the back Bad bitch in my lap and shorty she bussin it like its a Whooooo.

This Lifestyle sounds gibberish. It is a bit difficult for Kenyan audience to understand. Barak should just use simple English. Most people will always go for what is easy. Barak is using more of the American rap style.

In addition, the second stanza is not different but easy to understand. I put the city on my back Then put the city on the map We came up from the trap They just want a nigga trapped Now that they pay me to rap Ima spend it, get it back See my on tv but I never act Whooo. Sounds like he is addressing some producers out here

To add on, the song was produced by Factory DJs. The sound is awesome and the beats are also cool. Lastly, the video is well done and this raises the points for this jam Lifestyle. Barak thus gets a ratig of 5/10.

Harmonize features in Skales new jam Oyoyo. This comes after his exit from the Wasafi Record Label. Kondeboy as he refers to himself is a talented Tanzanian artiste. His work is just great. Skales on the other hand did a great thing collaborating with Harmonize.

The song Oyoyo is more of a love song. To add on this is where Nigeria meets Tanzania and the outcome is just amazing. Skales is a well established artist from Nigeria who has done a couple of releases.

Oyoyo is all about love promises

It is only good that we get to understand what Oyoyo is all about. Sweety, sweety yeah eh eh eh Sweety, sweety yeah eh eh eh Sweety, sweety yeah eh eh eh Sweety, sweety. Harmonize introduces the song. In this stanza you realise that it all about love.
Also, it is important to note that the song has excessive repetition. This is a style that lets us get to understand the title of the song easily.

The duo also has emphasised the title of the song more on the chorus. It is repeated a couple of times. This is how it looks like: Oyoyo, oyoyo Sawa sawale oyoyo Oyoyo, oyoyo Sawa sawale oyoyo.

Weka is already doing well out here. This is a Swahili word which simply means putting. Nikomeshe being the latest jam where he featured Harmonize.

Also, this time he has Marioo on board. This is a good collaborative for the upcoming artistes to promote one another. To add on, they voices compliment each other. This was is a hack for Dully Sykes.

What is Weka all about?

Without diverting from Weka, we are going to get the deeper meaning of the song. To start with, the lyrics and wordings are well done. Big up to the duo. Firstly, we know how Dully Sykes introduces his song. It gets to capture the listeners attention.

Now into the chorus which am sure it is very easy to master. It is more of a repetition. Dully Sykes and Marioo keep on repeating Weka Weka and some other few words. Thus the beautiful tight.

Harmonize is back this time with Mr. Blue on his new jam Hatutaki Kesi. This comes after his latest release Babilon. The duo from Tanzania have released a super cool jam. It is as success of Bang Nao. Mr. blue has recently hit the airwaves with super cool lyrics and his prowess is something to go by.

Also, Rich Mavoko is someone who has never failed on his projects. The talented Bongo star is doing very well. He is know for a couple of hits and his collaboration with Mr. Blue serves as a plus.

In addition,the song dubbed Hatutaki Kesi is very simple to understand. You know the duo has killed it already. Hatutaki Kesi simply means they do want anything to do with a case. They praise themselves on what they are and end up calling themselves the baddest.

Further, Wanasema dunia gunia, salamu zao mitaa ina nilinda sina bodyguard, star pia nicheck dress code. In this stanza, Rich Mavoko and Mr. Blue are talking of how out there are protected. To start with, say they are protected by those on the hood. Sounds like a dis track.

To add on, Mr. Blue needs to be consistent in his releases. Further into the lyrics; Black sitopinga uniite blackboard na njia ninayo ipinda inaitwa rafu road, si chagui bana si bagui sio rafiki sio adui bana. In this stanza he compares his color to that of a blackboard.

Also, lets look at this stanza; Nikiwa booth natema truth Lie nazi – Usilete uzushi nitakushoot Uvishwe suti na mabuti mahututi Ulale kwenye jeneza hata kama una bullet. They talk about saying the truth and not entertaining crap.

There is also this staza in Hatutaki Kesi where they talk of people who are quick to snitch. Angalia wana snichu snichu Mungu mwamuzi na kifo Hatutaki kesi, wanatupa kesi Zao kesi, tunamada kesi Hatutaki kesi, wanatupa kesi Zao kesi, tunamada kesi.
Rich Mavoko and Mr. Blue have not disappointed. In conclusion, Hatutaki Kesi gets a ratig of 6/10.

King Kaka is back with a new jam dubbed Show Kitu. He has featured a couple of musicians. They include; Kristoff, Jegede and Ilogos. Show Kitu is in line with what the new generation is singing. The trio has done a good job in this jam. Their voices compliment each other.

King Kaka is known for his great work in music. Before the release of this song, he did a menstrual walk all the way from Nairobi to Nakuru within six days. He is a great artist who is giving out the world. Also, he is the owner of Kaka Empire a record label that is doing well so far.

His collaboration with Kristoff and Ilogos is a great thing. The trio should in fact give us more of their work together. To add on, Kristoff has been featured in a lot of jams by local artists. It seems like he is in demand. He is always doing well in collaborations than solo projects.

What is ‘Show Kitu’ all about?

To start with, lets focus and find out what Show Kitu is all about; From Eastlando ni mkidi wa Ile mtaa ya kina kiriwa Na mi huchapa inasinzia Ukinisaka niko bizy ma. King Kaka associates himself with Nairobi Eastlands region and thus calls himself a child of Eastlands.

In conclusion, Show Kitu is a good jam. The trio has delivered it so well. King Kaka does not disappoint but much should have been done in this jam. Last but not least King Kaka gets a rating of 6/10 in Show Kitu.
