Comedian Jalang’o forced by fans and feminists to apologize following his views on Ivy Wangechi death

Jalang’o took to social media yesterday to air his views regarding Ivy Wangechi’s murder and in the process quickly realized he has just messed up.

The radio presenter shared that women should avoid taking gifts from men that they have not interest in because these gifts come at a price.

”I think it’s time we became honest with each other. Too many young beautiful girls are dying some of the most saddest deaths you can’t wish for someone’s daughter! It is time we discussed this issue! Rule one! No man gives any woman anything for free! Yes I said it ! Men can we tell them this!” he wrote in part.

Clarified

The post angered many who rushed to the comment section to attack him. In the end, Jalango was forced to delete the post and later post another clarifying what he was trying to state in his earlier post.

In his apology, Jalang’o said that he didn’t justify murder but still insisted that women should stay away from “free” gifts from men if they are not into them.

Jalang’o angers many following his post that Ivy Wangechi died for not turning down money and gifts from her killer

Radio presenter Jalang’o was corned recently by his fans and feminists following his post on Instagram that stated women should also say no to men’s gifts and money when they decide to reject them.

According to the witty comedian and radio personality, women who accept the incentives from men risk serious harm should they turn down advances and proposals from the same people. He wanted them to know that there’s nothing for free.

“I think it’s time we became honest with each other. Too many young beautiful girls are dying some of the most saddest deaths you can’t wish for someone’s daughter! It is time we discussed this issue! Rule one! No man gives any woman anything for free! Yes I said it ! Men can we tell them this!” he said in the post that angered many.

@jalangoo claims women should not take money from men if they do not know what they want in return.

A post shared by Urban News (@urbannews254) on Apr 11, 2019 at 10:49am PDT

The comedian then went ahead to say that women end up suffering because of this and therefore should restrain from taking gifts.

“Even your dad takes you to school so that at old age and when he can’t provide for himself he will depend on you! So my sister before you take any money from any man just ask them what they want in return and if you can’t offer what they want return it! Simple, do not promise what you can not deliver. People work so hard for their money my sister! Do not exchange lies for a man hard earned money! My sister,” he said.

The post angered many who rushed to the comment section to bash him for his views saying that he’s promoting boy child to be violent.

Mercy Masika finally speaks after miraculously escaping Dusit attack thanks to Jalang’o

News that gospel star Mercy Masika failed to make it to Dusit D2 building where she had a salon appointment after Jalang’o’s car blocked hers, dominated social media yesterday.

Jalango and Mercy Masika were hired for an upcoming consumer promotion. The two had a meeting with their client on the same day terrorists attacked DusitD2 hotel.

Blessings

Mercy Masika

Jalas and Masika’s meeting was at a different venue away from Dusit. The Milele FM presenter arrived late for the meeting and he couldn’t find a spot to park his car. He was forced to double park blocking other cars, including Mercy Masika’s car.

Speaking in an Kiss FM interview, Masika said that that was a huge blessing.

“I’m grateful. It looked like a delay but it was a blessing. And also the people in the salon were ok, so it’s really a good thing. It was more like hurry up but then there were a lot of people to socialize with hapo. Of course I was feeling the delay but then I was kinda chatting with people. Later I was like haiya we delayed there, but we felt like it was God who protected us.,” she said.

Adding:

“We pray for comfort especially for those who’ve lost family members. It’s really painful and we pray that God will comfort them.”

Jalang’o narrates how he saved Mercy Masika from Dusit terror attack by blocking her car

God works in mysterious ways! Mercy Masika would have been trapped inside the DusitD2 Hotel on 14 Riverside were it not for Jalang’o who blocked her thus preventing her from leaving immediately.

Jalango and Mercy Masika were hired for an upcoming consumer promotion, the two had a meeting with their client on the same day terrorists attacked DusitD2 hotel.

Jalas and Masika’s meeting was at a different venue away from Dusit. The Milele FM presenter arrived late for the meeting and he couldn’t find a spot to park his car. He was forced to double park blocking other cars, including Mercy Masika’s car.

Appointment with hairdresser

Mercy Masika left the meeting in a hurry, she was supposed to drive to Dusit where she had an appointment with a hairdresser. But she couldn’t leave immediately because Jalango’s car had blocked her vehicle.

It took a while for Jalang’o to send his car keys so that the vehicle could be moved. Mercy Masika finally left for Dusit but before she could make it there the terror attack had already began, prompting her to change direction and head for safety.

It was hours later that it dawned on her that if she had left immediately she would have made it to Dusit on time and that she would have been right in the complex when the terror attack was happening.

The gospel singer Whatsapped Jalang’o telling her how he unknowingly saved her from the terror attack just by blocking her car.

Jalas decided to share the WhatsApp screenshot on social media and went on to narrate the whole incident;

God wins! #DussitAttack
So @mercymasikamuguro and I are involved in an upcoming consumer promotion and so we were invited for a meeting at the client office… I was in another meeting so I get to client meeting after Mercy! Driving in, the client parking is full so Iam forced to double park blocking other cars! I walk into the meeting and client has finished briefing Mercy and she is in a hurry for her saloon appointment since the next day is the launch date and she has to look the part! She hurriedly leave only to find her car blocked so they call me move my car but I give out my car key so there is a bit of delay! When she leaves not more than 20mins later news of the attack at Dusit where she was going for her appointment quickly spread! Waaaaa! When she shared the message I just thanked God! #GodAboveEverything

“Instead of asking us to play Kenyan music be the mentors” Jalang’o tells Sauti Sol to share their secret with other musicians

There is no doubt Sauti Sol are the most successful Kenyan musicians. Jalang’o wants the group to share their secret with other Kenyan musicians instead of joining the bandwagon demanding 100% airplay.

Sauti Sol’s Bien took to social media to show his support to musicians demanding Kenyan music to be given priority when it comes to airplay on radio and TV.

“Kenyan music always comes with the word support. When you play Beyonce are you supporting her? I don’t know. Don’t support Kenyan music. Consume it, live it. It’s great,” wrote Bien.

Be the mentor

Jalang’o replied telling Bien to mentor other musicians instead of just calling for Kenyan music to be given 100% airplay, the Milele FM presenter says that Sauti Sol should share their secret with other musicians.

“Good…Now tell them why your music enjoy high rotation…I have really been waiting for your post or a post from Sautisol…to tell other artists why you’ve never complained about airplay! Bien you know how you work hard to get your music out there! Before any of your songs is out we receive emails , teasers and even a press release! After that it’s a series of calls to radio stations booking interviews left right and center! You show up at interviews on time…I have seen you guys do more than 5 interview in a day! You toil ! You post people dancing to your songs…you do challenges and within a week the whole country know about your new song! To make even yourself bigger you’ve collabod with TZ and Naija..you are international! I remember when you guys were hawking your music! It doesn’t come easy! People work! And until the same work ethics are instilled in our Kenyan artists we can play Kenya Music 100% and it will never go anywhere! So instead of asking about playing Kenya Music be Mentors in the industry! You can only take one portion at a time! Sautisol are Legends, UPCOMING and even new artists! No bro it doesn’t work like that! Hold people hands fam! You know the ropes!” Jalang’o commented on Bien’s post.

Bien replied saying;

“@jalangoo I agree. People must work. I can equally attest that you are one hard working guy. But now all this is beyond us. It’s about what our kids will inherit. Let’s all play our parts but let’s give US priority. Mcheza kwao hutunzwa.”

Victoria Kimani blasts Jalang’o… calls him arrogant

Musicians and TV and radio presenters’ beef which was started by Khaligraph Jones has now turned ugly as some people have started taking things too personal.

Khaligraph started the beef by mocking presenters with a free trip to Nigeria while protesting the influx of Nigerian music in the Kenyan airwaves.

Several musicians have come out to support Khaligraph’s demand for Kenyan content to be given priority when it comes to airplay.

Jalang’o has been the face of TV and radio presenters in this tug of war, he has been defending fellow presenters against claims that they favor foreign content over Kenyan music.

Deaf and dump to Kenyan talent

Victoria Kimani has also come out to support calls for Kenyan music to be given 100% airplay. She says that she has been advocating for the same for the past five years but no one listened to her.

She also said that Jalang’o and people who thinking along the same lines as him are ignorant. Victoria further says the Jalangos are deaf and dump to Kenyan talent.

Jalang’o lists 5 reasons why most Kenyan artistes are no match for their counterparts in Nigeria and Tanzania

The debate goes on… some Kenyan musicians claim the reason why they are not successful is because TV and radio presenters are not playing their songs.

Khaligraph Jones started the beef with presenters when he mocked them by offering to fly them to Nigeria, he was protesting the influx of Nigerian music in the Kenyan airwaves.

Jalang’o has been the voice of presenters, vehemently denying claims that his colleagues are the reason why Kenyan musicians are not doing well.

Work ethic

The Milele FM presenter has now taken to social media to explain why most Kenyan musicians are not doing well compared to their counterparts in Nigeria and Tanzania.

Jalang'o
Jalang’o

He listed five reasons, but emphasized that work ethics has everything to do with success;

“I know most of you are wondering why I have taken this debate so personal, it is because I interact, I host and I talk to Kenyan artists daily. Unless most of them change their work ethics the Bongo and the Naija songs will still rule our airwaves because of the following:
1. There are artists we call for interviews and totally don’t show up.
2. There are artists who you have to beg to even post a poster of a show they are performing at.
3. There are artists who you literally have to beg to even send you a DJ’s Drop
4.There are artists who after giving us one huge song, think that, that’s the end of the world and for more than a year, they bask in the glory of That one song and when you stop playing it, they tell you “You’re not playing Kenyan Music “
5. There are artists who do not even have their own songs as their Skiza tunes
I one day, organised a meeting between Safaricom and Kenyan Artists to help them know how safaricom sponsorship works. First we had to Beg them to come and even those who came, I don’t think any of them has ever written to safaricom to ask for sponsorship
Good Music will always be played and even We presenters will look for it, example is Dundaing!
@realshinski was away for 10 years, came back and it only took him two songs to rule the airwaves…Good Music!! Vimbada @mojishortbabaa and @jabidii_music pushed the song as if their lives depended on it..Hard work!! and @khaligraph_jones knows what hard work is, he sleeps, eats his music and stays in the studio late creating content.
The same Kenyan artists, do not support each other but compete against each other, How will the industry grow?
Lastly, Music is a business,Invest in your business and it will always give you returns..”

Akothee to Jalang’o: Please help me join Coke Studio Africa

It’s hard to imagine that any artiste would seek help from a presenter at this time when musicians have turned up the heat on TV and radio presenters.

But Akothee is desperate, and she knows only Jalang’o can help. The controversial singer wants to join Coke Studio Africa but she doesn’t know how to go about it.

For starters, Coke Studio Africa is a music collaboration show that brings together diverse African music talent to create covers, mashups and even original compositions.

The 2019 Coke Studio is currently underway, several African music heavyweights have been jetting into the country for Coke Studio Africa 2019. Local musicians like Otile Brown, Naiboi, Khaligraph Jones have been selected for Coke Studio 2019.

Jalang’o responds

Akothee took to social media grumble about how she has been snubbed by Coke Studio. She called on Jalang’o to assist her join Coke Studio Africa.

“And can someone explain to me the proccess of selection on coke studio? whats coke studio by the way ? I have seen artists go there repetedly , nasikia nikujuana, sasa mimi Akoth najua tu @jalangoo na yeye anajua tu luo festival nani atatupeleka coke studio na iko tu hapa kenya ??? you will not block us forever, once the light is shinning even the darkness dissapears, we actually dont have night its the shadow from the sun that brings in dawn , watch this space , thank God for yutube abd fans , wengine tungelua kwa choo, let me be thinned by mine pris,” wrote Akothee.

Jalang’o responded telling Akothee to be a little patient. He promises her that he will make some calls to inquire why she has not yet been selected to join Coke Studio Africa.

“Kuwa mpole baby…ukishanijua inatosha…Wacha niwapigie nuwaulize kwanini Oyoyo hapana iko coke studio ????,” Jalang’o replied.

Akothee showed her satisfaction with Jalango’s response, saying that;

@jalangoo baaaas si unaona, yaani hata oyoyo ngoma kubwa hawajatambua studio coke? fanta studio itaweza , na luo festival nashukuru bafo iko , kwasababu ilinijenga

Jalang’o to Naiboi: Before you pay the trip to Nigeria just remember the radio presenters who agreed to be in your video when Victoria Kimani turned you down

Rapper Naiboi probably forgets how the presenters he is now dissing greatly helped him even when fellow musicians failed to support him.

Several radio presenters appeared in Naiboi’s video ‘2 in 1’ when fellow musician Victoria Kimani turned him down when he approached her to appear in his video.

Also read: Poor boy child! Rapper Naiboi still bitter with Victoria Kimani for snubbing him

Well, Naiboi is among artistes condemning presenters for ‘lack of support’. The rapper has also offered to pay flight tickets for five extra Kenyan TV and radio presenters to be flown to Nigeria.

“So after making calls and confirming how serious the OG is about this i have decided i will pay for 5more so thats a total of 15. Lets make it a Real experience for them.
#respecttheOG,” wrote Naiboi.

Unappreciative

Jalang’o was quick to remind Naiboi how presenters came in handy when he was desperately begging for support while shooting video for his song ‘2 in 1’.

“If you are still depending on Radio and TV to make you big then you’re nothing” Jalang’o fires at Khaligraph Jones

The past weekend witnessed drama, a new beef has pitted Kenyan musicians against presenters. Apparently some Kenyan artistes claim the reason why they are not successful abroad is because presenters don’t give them airplay like they do with foreign artistes.

One such artiste is Khaligraph Jones, the rapper mocked Kenyan presenters when he offered to pay for their trip to Nigeria just to assess whether they have fans in Naija (because he claims presenters play too much of Nigerian music).

“I am planning on Bringing at least 10 big Kenyan media personalities/Radio presenters to Nigeria for a 10 day trip which I myself shall cater for,I want to see if some of y’all will be recognized by your Nigerian fans or if you even have fans at all here, it would be very sad if you don’t though ?? ?????????????? #respecttheogs,” wrote Khaligraph Jones.

We don’t choose music played on radio

Jalang’o fired back at Khaligraph for mocking Kenyan presenters with the trip to Nigeria. The Milele FM presenter challenged Kenyan musicians to get out of the comfort zone, he said artistes who are still dependent on TV and radio to make it big are bound to fail.

Jalang'o
Jalang’o

“@khaligraph_jones is planning a trip for presenters and media personalities to NAIJA to see if they have fans there since we play too much Naija and soon the next trip will be to bongo! Yes we don’t have fans there but before you start blaming us! Did you know that presenters don’t even choose music played on Radio and if they do they have very little say on what goes on air? No you dint! Before music is scheduled on Radio it is researched on and all we do is play ! The other day we were involved in making our playlist, I posted it here asking you to help us and the results were shocking almost! 50% Bongo 40% Naija! Today on Apple Music there are only 6 Kenyan songs in top 100 Kenya! So hata hiyo pia ni ma presenters na djs wamepanga? But the question is how did we get here to NAIJA and BONGO? Marketing! Aggressiveness! And getting out your comfort zone! If you are still depending on Radio and Tv to make you big then you have nothing in this industry! There are too many avenues! YouTube, Spotify,Apple music..then we have social media platforms! Diamond launched his Album in more than 10 countries some of you have not launched even for your family! We can’t play what we don’t know! I personally has hosted and booked you guys for events and paid you guys for shows even if it’s little ,I have done my part! The other day @thekingkaka launched his Album they dint even show up and the other day saw them begging selfies with Diamond just like they did with Neyo instead of asking for collabo! Khaligraph you know what hard work is and what it took you to be there! Sautisol dint have to depend on us! Hii ni 2019 na mkiendelea hivi mtatukuna saana! Link on my bio support @officialmasauti_,” wrote Jalang’o.

Tabia kama first born wa Judas! Jalang’o explains why Willy Paul has never been selected for Coke Studio Africa

Nearly all relevant musicians in Kenya have been to Coke Studio Africa. But one music heavyweight by the name Willy Paul is yet to make it to Coke Studio.

Coke Studio Africa is a music collaboration show that brings together diverse African music talent to create covers, mashups and even original compositions.

Several collabos have been born from Coke Studio, perhaps the most successful collabo being Diamond Platnumz and Ne-Yo’s ‘Marry You’. The song was recorded in Nairobi when Ne-Yo was in town for Coke Studio.

Coke Studio Africa 2019

Several African music heavyweights have been jetting into the country for Coke Studio Africa 2019. Local musicians like Otile Brown, Naiboi, Khaligraph Jones have been selected for Coke Studio 2019.

In a recent engagement amongst artistes, Willy Paul brought up claims that Coke Studio practices favoritism in selecting Kenyan artistes.

Jalang’o was however quick to dismiss Willy Paul’s claim. The comedian explained that Willy Paul’s character was the reason why he is yet to be selected despite his music success.

“Wewe toka huko, ulitajwa, wakasema talent moto lakini tabia kama first born wa Judas! Ukatolewa,” Jalang’o told Willy Paul.

Willy Paul’s rival Bahati was the first gospel artiste to grace Coke Studio Africa, he was in Coke Studio season 4.

Jalango pens lovely message to Amina Abdi for being a hard worker and motivating other women

Comedian Jalang’o is one of the hardest working media personalities in Kenya. The guys wakes up at 3 am in the morning and goes to sleep at barely 12 midnight almost everyday.

So he knows what true hard works means and will always appreciate it whenever he spots it.

Jalang’o recently had some lovely message for Capital FM presenter Amina Abdi who is also another hard worker in the business and has a tight schedule just as his.

Amina hosts a radio show, hosts The Trend on NTV and also has a show on Maisha Magic. She’s also an MC who is on high demand and…a mother of one.

Her schedule is as packed as they come and Jalango is proud of her.

“Today let me tell you a short story about my sister @amina_kenya. She is one of the top female events hosts in Africa…one of the most humble hard working people I know! Most of you would think that I am just talking but this is a trailblazer! Tv host at the trend! Radio host, tv host at Maisha magic..super event host!” said Jalango.

Motivation

He went on to say that her hustle should be used as a benchmark by other ladies since she’s motivating a lot of women out there to focus on their hustles.

“Amina may your hustle inspire a girl out there to make them see you as a role model! I am happy that I know you and you are my friend! To any event organisers looking for a top duo male and female host…..Heavy J and Amina will make your event what you wanted and even more!.”

Alex Mwakideu promoted, he is now Jalango’s boss

Jalang’o and Alex Mwakideu went on air together on Milele FM sometimes in August 2018. The two presenters reunited after a year apart.

Mwakideu and Jalas have chemistry on radio having worked together for four long years on Radio Maisha before they ‘broke up’ in 2017, when Jalas joined Hot 96 as Mwakideu remained at Radio Maisha.

The two were poached from Radio Maisha and Hot 96 to once again work together at Milele FM, Jalas and Mwakideu host the morning drive.

Jalang’o reveals why his father discouraged him from becoming a priest

Jalang’o never really dreamt of becoming a comedian, in fact all he ever wanted was to become a priest.

The now successful comedian revealed this in a post shared on his Instagram page talking about  why he never accomplished his priesthood dreams.

In his post Jalang’o confesses father Onyango from St. Paul Catholic Church had inspired his dreams and he was ready to follow in his footsteps; however his dad couldn’t hear none of that.

Back then St. Paul Catholic church Homabay serving God diligently…I am seated in the left of Father Onyango who had then inspired me to be a priest…

Jalang’o’s dad’s reaction

Having been brought up in a Protestant family, seems like Jalango was the only Catholic. For this reason his dad couldn’t help but challenge him. Jalang’o went on to say;

when I later told my father that I wanted to be a priest he told me to point one person in our larger family who is Catholic…I was the only catholic in the entire family…

With that dream left in the past Jalang’o says that he has been absent from church for a long time; and is now looking for a new community church to be attending on Sunday’s.

I have been baptized twice at Church of Christ in Africa which is our family church and also in Catholic my church. Nowadays I don’t have a church I attend any church any given Sunday but now I want to join a good community and a church. It’s been a long journey see our bare feet…no shoes! #GodWins.

Jalang’o: The same day I got my very first gig at Kiss 100 is the same day my dad died

Milele FM Radio host Jalang’o has opened up on the emotional day he got his first big job on radio.

According the comedian who is now one of the best paid in Kenya, he got the job and before he could actually celebrate, he received another from his mum breaking the sad news to him that his father had died.

“When my dad died he told me one thing, I have a letter from my dad before he died because I could not even afford to go bury my dad when he died. The same day I got my very first gig at Kiss 100 is the same day my dad died. Caroline called me and told me Jalang’o you are replacing Nyambane when she hung up my mom called and told me your dad is gone. That’s how sad it was for me,” he narrated.

Missed opportunities

Recently, Jalango also confessed that he was chased away from Maseno High School due to lack of fee. This made his dad break down to tears after his son missed a chance to join one of the best National schools in Kenya.

“I had never seen my dad cry but that day we cried together” Jalang’o narrates how Maseno school committed injustice against him

Jalang’o was a bright student, he scored 442 marks when he sat for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and received a letter to join Maseno school.

The comedian however didn’t join the prestigious national school, his father struggled to raise his school fees and by the time he got the money it was too late.

“Maseno school…let me tell you a short story…When I sat for my KCPE I got a chance at Maseno school by luck because with 442 Marks I think I was lucky…I was soo happy just like everyone because a chance at Maseno school was all you needed! This dream was not to be! School fees was nowhere! My dad ( God Rest hi soul in peace) organised several fund drives and by the time he was getting the money I was two weeks late from reporting day!” Wrote Jalang’o in part.

Father cries

Jalang’o says his father earnestly pleaded with Maseno school principal to admit him to the school but he blatantly declined. The comedian says his father was heartbroken and couldn’t hold his tears back.

“My chance was gone! We walked with my dad out of the school after hours of pleading to be allowed in, the principal refused! I had never seen my dad cry but that day we cried together! We walked to the main road got in a Marathi and went home! I later joined form one in a different school but with Maseno school uniform because my old man could not afford another pair! So for the whole of form one I was in a different uniform in a different school…to cut the long story short, today I was at Mseno school advising and giving wisdom to their class of 2018!
Once again GOD WINS!”

Jalang’o: The reason why I left t Alex Mwakideu was because of money

Comedian Jalang’o has been hoping around radio stations lately, with Milele FM being his latest home. At Milele, the comedian rejoined his friend Alex Mwakideu who he worked with at Radio Maisha before he ditched him for Hot 96.

Jalas recently opened up on why he ditched the station and his friend behind saying money came in between them. The offer was so sweet that Jalango had to leave.

Blame money

“What happened is when I left Maisha and he stayed there we only left the Maisha we did not leave the friendship.” he said.

“So I think if there is one person I hang out with is still Alex even when we were apart and guys kept on asking now you guys why are you lying to us that you are not together anymore you need to get yourselves back here. But anyway my reason for leaving Alex was very very simple. It was money. So I went somewhere where I was needed not where I was loved,” he stated.

July 12th 2018: The day Jeff Koinange and Jalang’o almost fought live on air

Jeff Koinange and Jalang’o have chemistry having worked together for over a year now. ‘Jeff And Jalas On Hot 96’ is arguably the biggest breakfast show in Kenya.

But on July 12th Jeff and Jalang’o had a serious squabble on air that almost resulted to a fist fight. The two were discussing the recent spate of violence and arson at secondary schools across Kenya.

School fires

Jalang’o argued that violence and arson could be justified under certain circumstances but Jeff insisted the whole idea of burning schools was just totally stupid.

Jeff went on to repeatedly call Jalas stupid and he got offended by the slur. Jalas changed mood and warned Jeff against insulting him.

Jalas: No single day did we ever burn school because we feared exam

Jeff: Because you are stupid

Jalas: No, don’t use that word on me again. That’s the last time
(Jeff clicks his tongue)

Jalas: Don’t click by the way

Jeff: What? (clicks his tongue again)

Jalas: (Angrily) Jeff!!

The tension was eased after someone called to contribute to the topic. Watch how the whole drama unfolded in the video below:

Joke your way to success! How Jalang’o joked around and landed emcee job at Obama’s event

In a rather interesting twist, comedian Jalango got a chance to meet former US President Barrack Obama this week and it all started from a joke.

The comedian, who we all know jokes around a lot, explained how he landed the lucrative opportunity to MC for one of the most powerful men in the world while in he was in Kogelo recently.

“One morning on Hot 96, the news of Obama coming to town was all over so I told Jeff you know that when Obama comes to town I will be the MC as a joke. And I went on Youtube and told people about how I will do it, ” said Jalas in an interview on Citizen TV.

Luck

He went on to add that a team from Gina Din who were part of the organisers watched the video and called him asking him to show up for the job.

“Then the team from Gina Din watched the video and they called me. Lorna Irungu told me that ‘do you know some dreams come true. Guess who the MC for Obama is?’ Jalango said he was not aware. You are the MC. You just don’t wake up and be the MC for Obama. It is a long process. We had at least six meeting and plus a rehearsal. My phone for the past I don’t know how many days I could not just talk to you,” Jalas said.

Alex Mwakideu blasts Radio Maisha for using his images despite him leaving the station

Hours after Alex Mwakideu resigned at Radio Maisha, the presenter took to social media to blast the station after he noticed they’re still using his image to promote the morning show he used to host.

On Instagram, he attacked the station asking them to leave his photo out of their campaign because he’s not part of the team any more.

This is wrong. Jana tu we were “celebrating” the 8 years of my career at the Standard Group as a Radio Presenter of the Morning Show. Today even after resigning and being given my acceptance letter in good faith munaniweka hapa! @radiomaisha @tjapanni kindly dont use my face,” read Alex Mwakideu’s tweet.

Left the station

The radio presenter who has been working with the Standard Media Group for eight years announced his departure on social media.

“It’s been 8 awesome years and I will miss Radio Maisha. I will always remember ‘kuanzia’ the first day when we launched this radio station during my first show. It’s been a good ride! Let me say a huge ahsante to the entire team of Radio Maisha and the Standard Media Group,” the message read.

Jalang’o gives Betty Kyallo’s business a big boost

Jalang’o spent quality time with Betty Kyallo at her spa in Kilimani over the past weekend. The two were seen goofing around at the spa in a video uploaded on social media.

Betty challenged Jalang’o for an arm wrestling contest. The KTN anchor however used dirty tricks to win the contest with Jalang’o.

Free or paid marketing?

Jalang’o also marketed Betty Kyallo’s spa after the fun moments. He called on ladies to go for beauty treatment at Flair by Betty.

“Out here supporting my home girl @bettymuteikyallo. Ladies…If you know you know that @flairbybetty is the saloon!” wrote Jalango.

“Jalang’o should not judge people with a few songs” Size 8 fires back at Jalang’o

A few days ago Jalang’o went HAM on gospel musicians accusing them of dropping songs that have no message whatsoever to Christian faithful.

The comedian called out Ringtone, Bahati, Willy Paul and several other gospel musicians for corrupting the gospel music industry with secular-ish songs and unnecessary dramas.

“They no longer mention God in their songs. Mungu anatajwa tu kama producer. Come back and start doing real gospel music with content,” said Jalas in part.

Every song has a message

Size 8 has since responded to Jalango’s critique. She said the comedian shouldn’t judge the whole gospel industry with a few songs, she went on to explain the messages in a few gospel songs.

Size 8

“Jalang’o should not judge people with a few songs because ours is the biggest music industry, and I believe every song has a message. Everyone sings differently, thus it would be wrong to judge them with their content. Like the new Daddy Owen song, Donjo, is just a way of saying he is enjoying life in Christ. Kula Neno is the word of God, meaning read the word of God. I think the problem is the understanding by people and not the song or perhaps the delivery. But from someone who reads the word, they will understand what every artiste means with their song,” Size 8 said during an interview with Word Is.
