Publicity stunt? Tanzanian rapper, Bill Nass clears the air on surprise proposal to Nandy

Bongo hip hop artist, Bill Nass clarified that his proposal to Nandy was sincere and nothing like a publicity stunt.

Nandy and Bill Nass’ relationship has been a rocky one, having split at one point, gone their separate ways and found new love in other people before getting back together.

Friday, 10th April 2020, the Tanzanian rapper went down on one knee for his beloved, Nandy with the words:

We’ve been together for so long and we have seen it all, from the good and the bad. I know your bad side and your good side but I have chosen both and I love you so much. I want the whole world to know and today is the best day to propose. I love you.

This was during Nandy’s live show on Tanzania’s TVE, only to be cut short mid-performance and just like that, the two prepped for a ‘happily ever after’.

Recently, up and close with a Tanzanian vlog, Bill Nass clarified:

I know her as Faustina and not Nandy. No. This is not a publicity stunt.

Describing that very day, that very hour, that very moment that was going to change their lives, he shared:

I proposed to her on Live TV and there was no one apart from the production crew. She was singing at an empty studio. I always knew she wanted a surprise proposal. I had studied her.

The two Bongo artists sparked dating rumors once more in their romantic release ‘Bugana’.

However, Bill Nass disclosed that he was in love with someone else at the time of the song’s recording and were therefore not an item.

I’d say we were brought together by the collabo we did called ‘Buganda’ because we’d also gone for the media tour together but when we were recording the song, we were not together. I was in a relationship with someone else.

Further revealing their love was rekindled late in 2019, and since then, he knew Nandy would make a good wife for him.

We’ve been back together for like seven months now. I started looking for a ring last year because I wanted to propose on her birthday.

Why Maina Kageni never graduated from University despite going to college in the UK

Did you know that Classic 105 presenter, Maina Kageni was to become a lawyer? But life happened and he squandered all his school fees.

The Breakfast show radio presenter is known to many as a personality who never entered the gates of a University but luck has been on his side.

Maina left Kenya for the UK, to get enrolled into a college but he turned it into a business affair.

College turned business

Instead of going to school, Maina’s itch to earn money saw him use school fees to fund for his stay abroad.

Meanwhile, he would work as a truck driver and fish distributor for some Chinese firm.

Decisions that saw his mother hold a grudge against him for at least quarter a century. Responding to his online Q&A session with fans, he disclosed:

For the 25 years, my mum only forgave me last year.

Maina’s mom had invested in her son, in the best ways possible, trusted him with school fees unlike his siblings, and eagerly awaited his graduation day but the radio personality was busy doing other things.

The veteran radio presenter admitted he was not aware his mother was still holding to the eventuality, for a solid 25 years, until 2019.

I ate all my school fees by living large in the UK. My mum found out and she was not happy with me until last year. She called me home and after dinner, she told me she had forgiven me for not going to university.

Explaining why, the mother confessed how ambitious she was in seeing all her children become University graduates.

Only for her dreams to get crushed sooner other than later.

My mum told me ‘Maina, if there is something I had promised your dad is that all his children would go to University.’

Maina Kageni is now a personality who does not need to introduce himself, having worked in multiple radio establishments in Kenya.

If anything, he stands as a household name in the Kenyan radio and media industry.

However, he revealed his dream was to become a lawyer.

Government pathologist reveals what killed Ruth Matete’s husband

Autopsy reports indicate that the late Apewajoye succumbed due to complications resulting from the 60 percent burns he suffered following a gas explosion at their home.

Chief government pathologist, Dr Johansen Oduor added that the postmortem was led by a team of four pathologists and senior homicide detectives.

The examination took place on Thursday afternoon at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) mortuary in Nairobi.

Report

Dr Oduor divulged that the deceased suffered complications inclusive of sepsis and multiple organ failure resulting from the unfortunate incident on the 30th of March at their home.

He died because of burns, which were mixed degree burns estimated at 60 per cent. In burns, what kills are the complication that arise. In this case there was sepsis, multiple organ failure and all that.

Dismissing any possibilities of Apewajoye’s death due to injuries.

We checked and there were no [injuries revealed].

Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) homicide detectives alongside Ms Matete’s lawyer, Robert Adanga, were present to witness the examination that lasted at least an hour, as from 3 pm.

Samples were collected by the detectives, for toxicology tests, as the Nation reports.

Ruth Matete, the government, Bellevue South Hospital and Jessy Mc Jessiey – Nigerian national who accused Ruth Matete of being a suspect in her hubby’s death – were represented by pathologists.

Burial

Despite getting over and done with the much-awaited postmortem results, the Kenyan gospel singer is however not free to go ahead and bury her late husband.

This is following a letter from the Nigerian embassy addressed to the DCI, requesting them to hold behind Belovedjohn’s body until the Nigerian government allows for its release.

The High Commission wishes to state that, after the postmortem, the burial should be put on hold until it is in receipt of such a directive from the Nigerian government, while the mission awaits the conclusion of the investigations.

Dispute

In that regard, Ruth Matete’s lawyer said that was unfair to do and would therefore formally meet with the embassy so that burial plans can proceed.

This is considering the embassy declined to give its pathology, saying it would rely on the government’s postmortem results.

We shall strongly communicate to the Nigerian embassy and strongly oppose the decision to hold the body at KNH. The embassy was duly informed to present a pathologist but it opted not to. It is therefore extremely unfair to withhold the body as my client needs to peacefully rest and mourn.

Lawyer Robert Odanga however expressed satisfaction with the postmortem results, urging all parties interested with the case to use facts before judging his client, Ruth.

We are satisfied with how the homicide department has handled the investigation and we shall support them in everything they may need.

The late Belovedjohn Apewajoye breathed his last on the 21st of April.

King Kaka has every reason to speak about artists like Khaligraph Jones, Willy Paul; and others who have proven to have zero content in terms of creativity.

Most are have proved to depend on picking and dissing singer Bahati – just to stay relevant in the industry.

Just a few days ago rapper Khaligraph Jones announced he would be dropping yet another banger and to tease his online fans; Khali released just a short clip leaving his fans excited.

However it’s is quite sad that the part Khaligraph chose to share online – was him referring to Bahati as mtoto was Diana. As much as freedom to express creativity in the entertainment scene is encouraged; many have come out to say enough is enough when it comes to attacking families in diss tracks!

In his song Khaligraph Jones goes on to talk about Bahati saying;

Having come across the diss track, King Kaka who is not only an artist but a husband and father of 3 could not keep his mouth shut.

As seen on his latest post where he addressed artists dissing and dragging Bahati’s family in their music; King Kaka discourages such moves which will one day affect the gospel singer’s kids or push him into depression at such a young age!

Through his social media pages, King Kaka wrote saying;

In his latest parody, Eric Omondi was mimicking health CS, Mutahi Kagwe, but this time, addressing the Ksh 100 million, President Uhuru had allocated to Kenyan artistes.

Well, soon after the President’s announcement on the 6th of April, what many were left asking was: how will the money be distributed?

There have been issues as to who is an artist. There has been questions as to who should get what and these are very genuine concerns to us as a Ministry and as a government.

He tagged along a bouncer, tasked with the responsibility of carrying the money, that was bundled into a big carton.

According to the comedian, ‘an artist is anybody who can make you laugh, who can make you cry, who can make you dance and who can make you jump’.

However, Eric Omondi, acting Mutai Kage expressed concern that the money would not be sufficient for every artist to get a share.

Hii pesa haiwezi tosha kila msanii. We can’t give everybody the same amount.

Distribution

CS Mutai started mentioning current Kenyan artistes, starting with controversial artist, Ringtone Apoko who was asked to get his royalties from Skiza tunes.

Next on line was boy band, Sauti Sol, represented by well-built bouncers, shirtless and donning a pair of trousers. The ‘CS’ ridiculously expressed:

For Sauti Sol, it’s a bit of emergency, it’s urgent. Wapewe pesa yao saa hii waende wanunue nguo hapo Toy market. It doesn’t look good. Then the rest of these artistes can share what will be left.

For Willy Paul, famously labeled ‘bwana mkunaji’ Mr Mutai humorously said:

Bahati’s situation raised an alarm, coming in with his 4 children and wife, Diana, baby mama Yvette, as well as his signees before shutting down EMB.

All CS Mutai could say was that probably all the money should be given to Bahati to take care of his ‘large family’.

Forget Willy Paul. I think you have seen Bahati. It is his luck that he has a lot of children. I suggest we give him all the money. We can see the product of the artiste and the needs and necessity of him being given the money.

EXCLUSIVE: Eko Dydda speaks for first time after being released from forced quarantine

Gospel hip-hop artiste has spoken his first following his release on 23rd of April morning.

The popular rapper was arrested on the 19th of April mid-morning and placed under quarantine at the KMTC facility.

He was allegedly transferred back to Kilimani police station in unclear circumstances.

Fortunate enough, his request to get released and attend to his ailing wife were hears and was set free on 23rd April morning.

Through Twitter, activist, Boniface Mwangi announced:

Eko Dydda was released today. Thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes to ensure he was released.

Let’s make it the norm, to call out injustices when they happen.

Adding:

To the good people in government who did the right thing, we appreciate you too.

Interview

Speaking exclusively to Ghafla!, the musician confirmed he was home with family and that is what matters most.

At the moment, I’m just happy that I am back home and I just wanna leave the rest in the past and focus on the future and the present which is me.

Eko revealed he received good treatment while locked up in the police cells at Kilimani and he remains thankful for that.

When I was in, there were cops who gave me support, they even gave me their own sanitizers. Even at KMTC I was treated well and the entire time I was shown lots of respect.

He however declined to give further details in regard to his arrest and later release, stating that that is his past and he needs to focus on the now and the future.

What’s in the past, is in the past. I just wanna treat people with love, and more respect than I ever did.

Thanking his online fans and followers for the love and support they showed, while he was locked up.

I realized people really showed me love when I was in there. So now let’s just focus on the music and fighting Coronavirus.

On a different note, the artiste went ahead to promise fans more hits coming their way, having recently dropped ‘Oooyah’.

There are already 2 new songs out on my YouTube channel, released last week, please watch and subscribe. Before my arrest, there were songs awaiting release and they will be up soon. I have so many projects I am working on at the moment.

For him though, he clarified he was going to play the game his own way but promised many more releases even as the nation remains home.

Something that I don’t do, is to follow the wave. I am just me. I don’t do the hype.

Mr Seed and his wife open up about people insulting their son on social media

Mr Seed and his wife might seem happy but deep down they have been hurting after fans using pseudo accounts attacked their son.

According to Mr Seed he is aware that his enemies have been creating pseudo accounts to insult their one year old son on social media. Mr Seed went on to reveal that they started picking on him before moving to his son.

Narrating this through his Instagram page, Mr Seed wrote saying;

Nimo on the other hand did not seem so bothered since her son has been making money moves: despite his young age.

She laughed off at the fact that a grown person with a stable mind would choose to attack a small child; forgetting that the baby barely understands the insults.

The first time mum wrote;

Although the audio had already been released; and Kenyans refused to listen after Ezekiel Mutua demanded to have it banned due to disgusting content.

Well this is no longer a topic as the song was pulled down from YouTube and will never be heard again. However a few people here and there have come out to bash Ethics for viewing women as objects in their music; and promoting rape in their lyrics!

Miracle baby calls out Ethics

Among the people on the forefront is Sailors Miracle baby who has condemned Ethics for acting like perverts; not forgetting pedophiles who will one day have children of their own!

Through his Instagram page, Miracle baby did not hold back from mentioning that Ethic had embarrassed everyone doing gengetone; and unlike other artists who are afraid of telling them the truth, Miracle baby could not let this slide.

A drunk Nyasuguta and her friends spend cold night in the police cells

Famed TV actress, Nyasuguta alongside two of her friends spent Tuesday night locked up following a fracas.

April the 22nd, the Vitimbi actress and two of her female neighbors were alleged to be causing disorder in the late evening.

This saw neighbors call police from Santon Police station on them.

The three were claimed to be drunk and disrupting the peace of their neighbors which warranted their apprehension.

Wednesday morning, the three were let free from police custody in what seemed like an agreed upon reconciliation between the actress and her two friends.

Kasarani OCPD, Muthuri Mwongera shared with the media:

They made peace, dropped the bid to seek legal redress against her. We had no other choice but to release the suspects.

After her release, Nyasuguta, born Eunice Wambui, divulged claims that the officer who arrested her harassed her and accused her of operating a brothel.

One of the male cops even asked us how much we charged for s*x.

Nyasuguta resides in Seasons area, Kasarani, Nairobi.

According to Catherine, her mum did not approve the late hours she arrived home from work and since she already had a baby; Catherine now had to be responsible for her own child.

Speaking about this experience Catherine said;

Music industry female heavyweight Judith Nyambura, popularly known as Avril, confessed she has thought of quitting the industry multiple times, especially after her dad’s demise.

The songstress has lived a life in her music career, no doubt! but she also has a second life back home with family.

Sharing her story with Adelle Onyango on her podcast, Legally Clueless, Ms Nyambura confessed:

Music is a jealous lover, or the entertainment industry is jealous. I have wanted so many times to say you know what, I am ending this, and in so many ways, I feel I am in that space.

The thoughts to call it quits, had crossed her mind, not once, not twice, but numerous times.

A part of it was influenced by her dad’s heart condition that snatched him away from them.

My dad questioned a lot while he was sick and it made us question a lot. I got into that zombie state of questioning so much.

It’s like she had just woken up from some deep sleep. The music queen became more connected to her life and everything around it.

You never know what life is going to be but you know there is an end to it. My life started becoming a bit more conscious and awakened, from the time my dad passed on.

It started with a heart attack. Then things cooled down, only for the tides to return but this time, striking a little bit harder.

He just had a heart attack and we thought he was going to be okay, then all of a sudden, he was not okay and he had a second heart attack, which was a bit more severe.

And just like that, her dad was no more, barely 50 years of age yet so full of life, things just didn’t add up.

He wasn’t old as he had just clocked 50 years and he had a full life ahead of him.

Fortunate enough, Avril’s management is what has been keeping her on her toes ever since.

Sometimes you get to a space where you feel like you want someone to drive you, unlike when you are starting.

Okay okay we get it that Khaligraph Jones can spit fire and is already giving many a run for their money thanks to his music.

But, we cannot forget that there are those who came before him, took over the entertainment industry, killed it; but still disappeared into think air like smoke – and now, remain forgotten but still respected by many.

Boundaries?

And for that reason probably it’s about time Khaligraph Jones drew boundaries when it comes to dissing people through his music. As much as fans have praised him for the new song which he went on to refer to Bahati as mtoto was Diana – we cannot overlook at the fact that he crossed the boundaries.

In the verse Khaligraph speaks about the controversial gospel singer saying;

As much as Bahati appears soft, rude, selfish…you name it; we cannot also forget that he is a father and husband to someone! If that is not enough to give him even a little respect then I don’t know what is!

Looking at the memes created by fans after Khaligraph’s song went viral; it’s obvious to see that many seek comfort in crowds and instead of condemning what is not wrong many continue to join hands in supporting crafty lyrics written to destroy yet another human’s self esteem.

However the Bahati seem to be handling this quite well and mature enough not to start a scandal or involve Khaligraph’s family! Through Diana’s Instagram page, she made it clear that she is proud to have Bahati as her baby.

Bully number One! KOT impressed after one Fridah exposes Mulamwah for online bullying and threatening her life

Kenyan comedian, Mulamwah’s fire doesn’t seem to be dying down any time soon. It started with his confession to quit comedy over bullies, before he got exposed for being a bully himself.

Kiss 100 radio presenter, Kamene Goro came out first after the comedian’s confession went viral, countering his claims labeling him the biggest bully she has ever known.

This seemingly settled after he apologized to her for his actions.

Well now, the fire has been reignited. Kenyans on Twitter led the hashtag ‘Mulamwah and Fridah’ on the 22nd of April.

This trended for the better part of the evening, after a girl named ‘Fridah’ exposed his crude ways.

Fridah revealed she was forced to deactivate her account and commit social media suicide, due to an online bullying by the upcoming comedian.

The lady goes ahead to disclose that Mulamwah started threatening her on the 7th of April, even involving Fridah’s parents in the mix.

Let’s take you back in time, Fridah came to light when she allegedly body-shamed the comedian before later apologizing.

However, it turns out that the comedian might have held onto the grudge a little longer and instead started harassing her offline.

Sharing screenshots of her conversations with Mulamwah, the chats indicate that he was threatening Fridah.

Unapologetically warning her that their battle had just began and she better pray that she comes out alive.

A Kenyan on Twitter who claims to have called the comedian, divulged that Mulamwah said he harasses Fridah so that she learns her lesson and be warned.

Identified as ‘MJ’ on Twitter, Fridah said she had just had enough of him and was ready to face him head on.

KOT

After he seemed distressed on social media for losing his 3-month unborn child, Kenyans rushed to Mulamwah’s aid, comforting him and encouraging him that all is not lost.

However, he should have known that no one plays KOT because your dark days are coming, in the event they find out you lied.

KOT accused the budding comedian of driving the lady – Fridah – into depression over bullying.

Mulwamwah is now facing the wrath of Kenyans online for being nothing short of a hypocrite and seeking sympathy that was never deserved in the first place.

They just could not take it from the comedian who walks all over social media in sheep’s clothing.

If the rumors making rounds on social media about Deborah Rono Chebet are true; then I guess she is the latest celebrity radio presenter to walk out on NRG radio!

For a while now the young lady has not been on air and word has it that this is because she’s no longer an employee at the radio station.

This comes just a few months after Tanasha Donna also walked out on the station; stating she needed to focus on son Naseeb and her music career which demands her full attention!

Rono however joined NRG after Elodie Zone who is a YouTuber called it quits after 8 months of working at the station as a a presenter and digital content manager.

However thanks to Rono’s hilarious character and love-able personality; the lass won many people’s hearts through her Instagram page and of course radio show!

Unlike most presenters, we can say that Rono has managed to achieve quite a lot considering she is barely 25 years!

Anyway we cannot confirm whether she is currently working for NRG or is no longer a presenter at the station; but all we can say for now is that rumor already has it that she may not be getting back to her old job!

After much speculation about her conspicuous absence on the airwaves Ms Chebet decided to address this issue through one of her YouTube videos. Unfortunately all Rono did was dodge this question in a manner that speaks louder than words!

Diva The Boss addresses rumors claiming Ali Kiba got her fired from popular radio station!

Tanzanian radio presenter Diva the boss left many talking after exposing her affair with Alikiba through her social media pages.

According to the lady, she had been seeing Kiba for close to 10 years and despite her knowing that he was a married man; Diva never felt the need to walk away until back in December 2019.

Judging from her post, it appears that she got tired of hiding the relationship; and for this reason Diva opted out. Breaking up with Kiba was however not easy as the fella was not ready to let her go!

Thanks to several screenshots shared by the lady, we can confirm that indeed Kiba wasn’t ready to let her go; but after losing Killy and Cheed who were signed under Kings Music label, all hell broke lose.

According to the rumors circulating on social media, Diva is said to have had a hand in the exit of these two artists; and if not wrong is currently dating one of them.

Controversial media personality, Kamene Goro set the records straight that she is no lesbian, rather a hetero.

The KISS 100 radio host let her online fans throw in all the wild assumptions they could think of her and she answered them, one after the other.

Surprisingly, she did them all on a light note regardless of the assumption made.

You can guess the obvious ones but her sexual orientation stood out. Despite having a history with a string of men, at least 27 from statistics, someone still assumed she was a lesbian.

By her poolside, Kamene spoke of her sexual liking:

I love women. I love you guys. You guys are the best thing in the whole damn world! But not like that. I think we all know where my affiliations lie.

Otile Brown facing allegations of stealing beats for his new track ‘Vibaya’

Kenyan RnB sensation, Otile Brown ushered in the new month with his release ‘Vibaya’ that is now facing copyright issues from Kenyan producer, Makoy.

‘Vibaya’ is a love ballad that features vixen Maddie Jewitt, who has enslaved him with love, labeling her his ‘ideal woman’.

This is basing on the recent turn of events where Kenyan producer, Makoy, accused the singer and his producer for preying on his beats without even accrediting him.

On his Instagram page, Makoy blasted Otile for sampling his beats, through producer, Vickypondis without even paying him a dime.

I’m shocked this guy @otilebrown samples my beats, 2 of them. Now the latest jam #vibaya one of the two beats he produced using this guy Myambo @vickypondis.

Makoy, was shocked how Otile, used his beats without his consent and behind closed doors.

The irate Kenyan producer mocked:

Watch: Eko Dydda’s phone snatched during Live interview on Citizen TV

Embattled gospel artiste, Eko Dydda who was forced into quarantine early in the week, had his phone snatched in an attempt to talk to the media.

Eko Dydda was arrested on the 18th of April after he dashed to Nairobi to get medication for his wife, only for his car to develop mechanical issues on his way back.

By the time he was done and trying to return home before the stipulated curfew hours, the police had caught up with him, took him to the station and had him spend the night there.

Interview gone sour

Citizen TV’s Waihiga Mwaura tried reaching the gospel artist to provide further insight on the happening of events following his arrest.

The conversation started off well, with the singer disclosing they had all been moved from the quarantine facility at KMTC, and back to their previous locations.

I am not sure why, but we have all been moved from KMTC back to the stations where we were taken from. I’m currently at Kilimani police station.

Giving a recount of the fateful day he landed in the arms of the Law:

I had gone for medicine for my wife, and by bad luck, I had issues with my car and I got late. I was arrested, taken to Kilimani police station and my vehicle was towed.

Adding:

If I would go back in time, I don’t know what I would do differently. Probably I would have walked home. Things happen, and you can’t plan for that. I hadn’t planned for my wife to have an attack late in the evening.

However, the interview got cut short after a male voice in the background reprimanded him to hand over his phone, therefore cutting off communication.

The journalist acknowledged the interruption, promising to inform Kenyans once they got in touch with Eko Dydda.

“My daughter is my late mum’s replica!” Zari Hassan

Mama Dangote is no longer important as far as Zari is concerned and after years of claiming that Tiffah got her looks from her Tandale grandmother; Zari Hassan finally set the record straight on who Tiffah too after.

According to Zari, her one and only baby girl Tiffah took after her late Ugandan grandma who passed away back in 2017. Zari revealed this through her Instagram page and that of Tiffah’s where she also shared throw back photos of her mum.

Looking at the posts, it’s obvious to see that Tiffah indeed took after both grandmothers but according to Zari; her little princess is her late grandma replica.

Early April, photos of the singer’s recent track, ‘Bedroom’ went viral, after romantic moments with the song’s video vixen raised eyebrows.

Masses had every reason to believe the two individuals were spending nights together, despite having Sarah Michelotti back at home.

Soon after the speculations, all sorts of reports regarding the pair hit the headlines, inclusive of a video of Sarah banging on the door of the vixen’s home in Tanzania.

January, the 31st 2020, the much anticipated DonnaTella EP launch went down but in the absence of baby daddy, Diamond and Wasafi artiste, Mbosso.

The star-studded event at the Sarit Centre Expo graced the who-is-the-who in the Kenyan celebrity industry.

WCB’s Diamond Platnumz and Mbosso also made an appearance before quickly jetting back to Tanzania, unexplained.

The two were expected to perform with the songbird during her album launch but they only stood to be counted during the press conference, barely hours to the EP launch.

During his recent interview with Sam Misago last week, Mbosso disclosed that their management had asked them to go back to Tanzania immediately.

I remember we went to Nairobi, there was a show we were supposed to do and it didn’t happen. We came back.

After such orders, who was he to defy?

I was told I had to go back to Dar es Salaam with immediate effect. There were things that were not right. Who am I to argue with manager Babu Tale, Sallam and Mkubwa Fella?

Adding they all returned to Tanzania and got involved in other things.

I went back home with my brother, Diamond. We were even seated next to each other. That’s when I started writing the script to my ‘Tamba’ song.

From his end, WCB founder, Diamond who had left Kenya’s capital in a hurry, had previously disclosed that he had an urgent family issue to tend to.
