Bahati aka mtoto wa mama is a dad to a 2 year old girl he recently introduced us to through his Instagram page. Bahati however left many shocked as he had always portrayed himself as a good boy who was not indulging in any sexual activities – probably because he was waiting for marriage.
However, one can not hide their true colors for too long…right? Well, he has learnt to embrace the fact that he has a child and just like most celebrity dads, the look on his face shows how proud he is.
His latest photo with baby Mueni is just another proof that he did not need DNA to know that the little girl is his. The two share some striking resemblance especially around the facial area. If you haven’t checked out his latest photo with the baby then have a look at it here;
Just when we thought Bahati had one enemy in the entertainment industry to worry about, singer Otile Brown comes out with guns blazing at Bahati’s new song leaving many wondering whether there is some new beef brewing.
According to Otile Brown the new song is nothing but a bunch of trash with bad lyrics and to top it up Bahati’s vocals need some professional training. The Kistarabu hit maker revealed this in a post shared on his Instagram page but judging from the comments he got…he later pulled it down.
Luckily we managed to get a screenshot of his post and one can also see King Kaka’s comment, which probably was to question Otile Brown’s post. Anyway, this is the first time we are seeing the singer pick a fight with a fellow artist but at the same time we can’t also judge his personal opinions.
Otile Brown’s post
However, it is also unacceptable to bring down one of your own when the industry needs more support in order to reach to higher levels like what fellow Tanzanian artists are doing.
Bahati and Willy Paul will never ceases to amaze you, they have consistently competed with each other to be the dominant force in gospel scene.
Perhaps it’s their determination to outshine each other that has made them to be in their own league. It is now clear that whenever Willy Paul releases a new song Bahati will do the same, or vice versa.
This has always been the case for years and 2017 is not different; Willy Paul started the year by dropping ‘I Do’ featuring Alaine and soon Bahati dropped ‘Nikumbushe’ featuring Rayvanny.
A few days ago Willy Paul dropped a controversial song dubbed ‘Digiri’, and guess who is dropping a new song this Friday June 9th?
Bahati has courted Ugandan dancehall singer Eddy Kenzo to drop a new song called ‘Barua Kwa Mama’. Kenzo is a music heavyweight who boasts of several hit songs and international recognition including BET award for Viewer’s Choice Best New International Artist 2015.
Bahati and Kenzo are seen donning school uniforms in their new video which is yet to be released. Below are behind-the-scene photos of their new song:
Willy Paul was locked out of Groove Awards for the second time in a row and he didn’t take it lightly. He decided to react in a way he knows best.
Willy Paul was totally frustrated after Groove Awards snubbed him for the second year in a row, he walked out of Groove nomination gala to express his frustrations with the gospel award.
Willy has dropped a new song dubbed ‘Digiri’ which is thought to be a diss track for Groove Awards. The timing of the official launch of the song almost coincides with the date which Groove award gala will be happening.
Bahati, who was also snubbed by Groove for the second year in a row, has offered his unwavering to Willy Paul as he drops his new song in a message he wrote on social media.
Bahati’s message to Willy comes as a shock to many since the two gospel singer are perceived to be bitter enemies who compete with each other to release songs.
The ‘Nikumbushe’ hit maker said Willy Paul made him listen to the controversial song before he released it to the public. And he liked it.
“My Brother Aliniskizisha hii nyimbo few days ago #Degree Na Enyewe am here to Support You anytime ? Kenya Just wait for this Massive tune #1stJune Bro Willy Brings You #Digiri???” Wrote Bahati.
Kisha Yvette Obura has become a celebrity over night now that everyone knows that she is the mother of Bahati’s 2 year old daughter.
From what we know is that Bahati never introduced her despite the two dating for over 4 years, just when the young singer was becoming popular in the gospel Industry. What we knew is that Bahati was just an innocent young man trying to build his career and truth be told, we all thought he was focused unlike his peers not knowing that the singer had skeletons in his closet.
Well, I guess we were all wrong and yes, he is not as different as the others. Bahati had a daughter with Yvette and from what we hear is that he went behind the young lady’s back and introduced their daughter without the mums consent to avoid having issues when it comes to him paying child support.
Away from that, Yvette’s photos are currently making rounds on social media and boy is the lady blessed. She has curves like those of Vera Sidika and fans are now comparing her to Bahati’s new girlfriend, Diana Marua. Checkout her photos below:
Weezdom recently let out the skeleton in his closet during an interview with Mzazi Willy Tuva on Citizen Radio’s Mambo Mseto.
Bahati’s former protégé revealed that he used to be a criminal who sold bhang and transported firearms for other thugs.
“Nilikuwa mhalifu….niliuza bangi…nilishiriki wizi sana. Nikiwa na sare za shule nilisafirisha BASTOLA kwa bag ya vitabu kutoka Korogocho, Mathare hadi Eastleigh. Nimeshuhudia marafiki zangu wakiuliwa kwa uhalifu! BUT NOW AM CHANGED. AM A BETTER MAN, NOT A BITTER MAN.” – WEEZDOM shared his shocking and inspiring story of his life on Mambo Mseto .
The young gospel singer also talks about his life in his song ‘Better Man’ featuring Guardian Angel. Weezom reiterates that God changed him to be a better person.
Bahati and his sweetheart have travelled to Zanzibar Island leaving behind a mess they caused when they unveiled baby Mueni Bahati.
For starters, Bahati fathered a daughter with a certain Kisha Yvette Obura some two years ago. There were rumors in 2015 about Bahati impregnating a girl but the gospel singer denied it all until a few days ago when he admitted that he indeed sired a girl – Bahati Mueni with Kisha.
Mueni Bahati’s unveiling however started a chain reaction that saw her biological mother and several other people getting involved.
Gospel singer Bahati introduced his biological daughter – Mueni Bahati a few days ago and now everything seems to be going south.
Friends of Bahati’s baby mama – Kisha Yvette Obura were quick to roast Diana Marua after she posed with Bahati’s daughter.

Most people on social media have also been urging Kisha to fight for her rightful place in Bahati’s heart, they argued that the young gospel singer and his baby mama should get back together for the sake of their daughter.
Kisha however opened up and said that she no longer wanted to be in a romantic relationship with the the ‘Nikumbushe’ hit maker.
“Jesus Christ! I don’t want to be with Bahati. He is just but my baby daddy/ ex. The only thing that people should know is that the baby is not adopted but my own. Thank you.” Kisha responded to posts on Facebook.
Seems that Bahati kept his daughter on the low and not even his close friends knew about her either. Size 8 who has been a mentor to the singer wrote a moving message dedicated to the singer moments after he went public about his daughter.
Size 8 talks about seeking forgiveness from God as he has proven to be a forgiving father. She goes on to congratulate Bahati for taking responsibility despite knowing that many would judge him for having a child out of wedlock.
The gospel singer also praises the young girl for her beauty and as a mother, Size 8 also understands the struggles one has to put up with when it comes to dealing with pressure from toddlers. She wrote,
Now this is the way forward for anyone hating on the singer for having a baby.
As you all digest about Bahati’s baby…I would like to introduce the woman said to have given birth to Mueni Bahati. Her name kisha Yvette Obura and yes she also happens to look like her daughter thus confirming that the rumors might be true.
Her photo was first shared by a popular Instagram new outlet which is believed to share reliable stories. The lady however cannot be found on social media as she seems to have deleted all her handles.
We are not sure whether she was dating the young singer at the time she got pregnant or the two were just having fun. This is because for the past few years Bahati has not introduced any woman until he met and hooked up with Diana Marua. Anyway checkout her photo below.
Bahati has three known children whom he adopted in 2014; a boy and two girls. It now turns out that the young gospel singer has another kid.
Bahati adopted Morgan, Purity and Rose sometimes in 2014; the kids were age 4, 4, and 10 years respectively when Bahati took them in.
Well, the singer has introduced yet another kid he says is his. It’s not clear whether the ‘Nikumbushe’ hit maker is Mueni Bahati’s biological father or he also adopted her.
Bahati’s sweetheart Diana Marua expressed her feeling about the singer’s ‘new’ daughter that not so many people knew about until a few days ago.
Diana revealed she loves Mueni Bahati, she said the little princess was blessed to have Bahati as her father.
“I love this innocent soul, so full of love. You’re blessed to have @bahatikenya as your Daddy. You are too adorable little princess @mueni_bahati ?” Diana Marua wrote.
If there is a secret that was kept well then it’s Bahati’s biological daughter. After the singer introduced and paraded her all over his social media pages fans now want to know the mother of his 2 year old baby girl.
Well, this was somehow expected as Bahati had never introduced any of his girlfriends before until Diana Marua came his way. For some reason we all know that she is not the mother of Mueni Bahati since the two just started dating recently and for this reason everyone is now interested in knowing Bahati’s ex or rather baby mama.
From the comments left by fans…others congratulated the singer for acting mature while others couldn’t help but bash him for acting ‘too holy’ when he has been ‘fornicating’ all these years. Anyway below are some of the comments from his fans.
Bahati must be the happiest man alive after winning over a lady like Diana Marua. As far as the two are concerned we believe that they are a match made in heaven despite their age difference.
So far fans and social media users cannot keep their eyes off these two love birds and I bet it’s all because of their photos that are widely shared on social media after every photo shoot.
Any I managed to get a few photos that suggest that Bahati has found the perfect lady to settle down with. Judging from the pictures the 23 year old singer is seen laughing and quite playful making him look like the cute adorable man most women would want in their lives.
There is no doubt that Diana Marua brings out the best in Bahati hence his smile and laughter. Checkout their cute photos below.
Willy Paul and Bahati have dropped the dopest songs this year – ‘I Do’ and ‘Nikumbushe’. But even so, the two gospel singers have failed to secure a single nomination slot in Groove Awards 2017.
Willy Paul expressed his disappointment with Groove Awards by walking out of the nominations gala and later taking a swipe at organizers
Bahati acted more maturely when he found out that Groove Awards had given him the cold shoulder. Speaking to Mzazi Willy Tuva on Radio Citizen on May 3rd, Bahati explained that he had won Groove Awards one too many times that he now looking forward to win other coveted awards like BET and MTV awards.
“Wajua Msanii akibarikiwa kabla u break out kuna changamoto, ila mimi sichukulii kama changamoto una give thanks for everything, sababu ina maanisha mungu anakutoa kwa Nini fulani anakupeleka kwa nini kubwa zaidi, sababu mimi kama mimi nafkiri nimeshinda groove enough time, nimeshinda song of the year, video of the year, collabo of the year, male artiste, kwa ivyo sahu nafeel na na need growth, nahitaji something bigger sikuwa last year na siku expect kurudi, kitu kubwa ambayo tunafaa kusubiri ni BAHATI aletee BET ama MTV” BAHATI alimalizia kwa kuwa shukuru Groove Awards kwa kumpa support na pia kusistiza kuwa hawajokosana na waandaji wa tuzo hizo,” Bahati told Mzazi Willy Tuva.
Bahati and Willy Paul have not been nominated in any category in Groove awards 2017…and Willy Paul didn’t take it lightly that he was brushed off just like that.
A dejected Willy Paul stormed out of Groove Awards nominations gala that was held at the University of Nairobi on Tuesday May 2nd 2017.
The ‘I Do’ hit maker couldn’t stomach being given the cold shoulder by Groove Awards, Willy and his frenemy Bahati didn’t secure a single nomination slot for 2017 Groove Awards.
Willy Paul attacked event organizers after he walked out of Groove nomination gala, he said that they didn’t appreciate hard work.
“Don’t expect them to appreciate your hard work: human beings should not be trusted. If you trust them:: you will only get hurt badly.. get used to being alone.: let ur only option be CHRIST THE KING.. don’t let the earth and the things in it define you.. you’re better than them all,” wrote Willy Paul.
Below is the list of all nominees for Groove Awards 2017:
Bahati is now talking about walking down the aisle with Diana Marua in a real wedding. The ‘Nikumbushe’ hit maker took his sweetheart to meet his grandpa.
Bahati made Diana Marua become a popular figure when he exchanged vows with her in a fake wedding; Diana was the main video vixen in Bahati’s song ‘Mapenzi’.
The young gospel singer recently travelled to Makueni County to have a serious talk with his maternal grandfather.
Apparently the purpose of Bahati’s trip to Makueni was to introduce Diana Marua to his centenarian grandfather. Bahati revealed that he sought his grandfather’s opinion for his plan to marry Diana Marua.
“After So Many Days of Prayer #PrayerPartners – I took her to my GrandpA Aniambie kama ako Sawa Tufanye harusi ? GUESS WHAT GRANDPA SAID?” Bahati posted on social media leaving his fans guessing what his grandfather said about Diana.
Meanwhile Bahati has also thanked Huddah Monroe after the socialite was seen listening to his song ‘Nikumbushe’ while she was driving.
“Thank You Dear ? @huddahthebosschick #NIKUMBUSHE” Wrote Bahati.
Bahati was 7 years old when his mother passed on, he was partly brought up in ABC Kenya Children’s home in Kariobangi before his step-brother took him in.
Years back, the ‘Nikumbushe’ hit maker travelled to his late mother’s native in Makueni County to trace his background. He found his maternal grandfather who informed him about his lineage.
The gospel singer recently travelled back to Makueni to visit his centenarian grandfather, Bahati revealed he had stayed for years without seeing him.
“After Many Years without Seeing him_ I left the City to go and trace my roots ‘ Visited GrandpA; Father to my Late Mum Lucia, Memorable & humbling Moments With this Man that God has kept for Over 102 years.. #NIKUMBUSHE,” Wrote Bahati.
The flourishing gospel singer did all sort ‘upcountry chores’ while visiting his grandfather, he fetched firewood and cooked on the traditional three-stone cooking fire.
The bond between Bahati and his girlfriend Diana Marua is only getting tighter each passing day… This was evident during a recent photo shoot where Miss Marua confessed something about their love.
Diana Marua and Bahati looked dapper in their latest photo shoot, the two gospel lovebirds decided pose in the middle of a highway.
Bahati rocked a red trouser, black shirt and cool sunglasses while his sweetheart wore a blue dress that exposed her lovely legs.
Diana Marua professed her undying affection to the ‘Nikumbushe’ hit maker, she confessed that she enjoys his company as much as she enjoys her time alone.
“If I enjoy your company just as much as I enjoy my alone time, that deep ??” Diana Marua captioned a photo she uploaded online.
It seems the two lovebirds are ready to take their relationship to the next level – only time will tell.
Gospel singer Kevin Bahati flew to Soweto slums in Kayole to drum up support for a Jubilee candidate who is eyeing Embakasi East parliamentary seat.
Politicians have now resorted to use the services of some of the most sought-after musicians in the industry in a bid to woo the electorates to vote for them.
Bahati was chauffeured in a Jubilee chopper from Wilson airport to Soweto slums in Kayole to campaign for wannabe Embakasi East MP Francis Mureithi.
The ‘Nikumbushe’ hit maker touched down at Mureithi’s campaign rally in Soweto on Sunday evening and walked to the dais where he thrilled the crowd performing his hit songs.
“Chopper Ride ? this Afternoon ….. #GHETTOPRESIDENT Went to Preach Peace to my Ghetto People even as We Approach this Election Period- Let nothing Kill Our Love 4 each Other? #Peace ?? #KAYOLESOWETO,” Bahati wrote on social media.
Bahati collaborated with veteran gospel songbird Jemimah Thiong’o to drop a song dubbed ‘Kwa Moyo Wangu’ on December 2nd 2016.
The collaboration was facilitated by Brian Mutenyo – Jemimah Thiongo’s operations manager. In an interview with Word Is, Mr. Mutenyo revealed Bahati conned Jemimah.
Jemimah’s manager says that the gospel songbird has never received a dime in royalties from her collaboration with Bahati.
“After the song release, we have never heard from Bahati again. He never calls, and Jemimah has never even received a coin — for royalties — from Bahati. If Bahati has ever paid Jemimah, let him come to the media and defend himself,” Jemimah’s manager was quoted by Word Is.
Mutenyo further revealed that he played a vital role in getting Bahati to work with his client since he couldn’t get hold of Jemimah for two years.
Apparently Jemimah was reluctant to work with Bahati because his songs are deemed by many people to be secular-ish. Mutenyo however managed to convince Jemimah to work with Bahati on condition that he would go back to singing the real gospel music.
“Jemimah is mature and very spiritual. She is cautious about who she is associated with when it comes to her ministry. Thus, doing a collabo with a new generation artiste meant he/she has to be morally upright and very spiritual,” Mutenyo said.
It’s because of this reason that Bahati deleted ALL of his posts on social media and said that he wasn’t truly serving the Lord. He declared that he was seeking a fresh start in gospel music.
“Anyone who has ever worked with Bahati can always agree with me ni mtu mbaya (he is a bad person),”Jemimah’s manager added.
Before he settled for Diana Marua, Bahati was thirsting after Tanzanian actress Elizabeth ‘Lulu’ Michael who unfortunately didn’t feel a thing for him.
In an interview with Mambo Mseto early last year, Bahati revealed that his celebrity crush was Lulu – he said that if he was to get her he would be completely satisfied.
“Nikiweza mpata lulu Elizabeth Michael nitatulia kabisaaaaa , mtaacha kusikia nikiitwa single boy, Millard Ayo akileta story za Bongo mwambieni nimemtuma apeleke hizi habari kwa Elizabeth Michael,”Bahati said.
Fast forward to 2017, Bahati and his current girlfriend travelled to Dar es Salaam for business. The gospel singer struck a deal with Diamond during his trip.
Bahati, who is still in Tanzania, opened up about his obsession with Elizabeth ‘Lulu’ Michael during an interview with Magic FM.
The ‘Nikumbushe’ singer revealed that he travelled to Tanzania last year to look for Lulu, Bahati said the purpose of his trip was to convince Lulu to feature in his song ‘Maria’ which he released on 14th November 2016.
No amount of persuasion would convince Lulu to meet Bahati, the singer said that he stayed in a hotel in Dar for two days trying to call Lulu but she gave him blue ticks galore.
Bahati even tried using AY to reach Lulu but still the Tanzanian actress gave him a cold shoulder. He finally lost hope and settled for Jokate as the main video vixen for his song ‘Maria’.
“Hii ni siri ambayo nadhani hata Wakenya hawakujua, AY peke yake ndiye alijua. Nilitoka Nairobi kuja hapa [Dar es Salaam] natafuta connection na Lulu kwasababu nataka awe kwenye ile video [Maria] ambayo nimemweka Jokate. Nimekaa kwa hotel Lulu amekataa kushika simu mpaka ikafika mahali nikamwambia ukija kuniona Mungu atakubariki, siku ya pili akakataa kabisa nikamwambia mshikaji AY acha tu nirudi nyumbani. Nikarudi hivyo,” Bahati said during an interview on Magic FM.
Good boy gone bad, Larry was left scratching his head in disbelief after gospel singer Bahati walked out of an interview he had with him.
The incident didn’t happen in the real world but in Bahati and Rayvanny’s new video which the NTV anchor was featured in as a video vixen.
“’Nataka nitoke kwenye gazeti, niuze sura!’ Wakati Rayvanny aliponitembelea. Muda mfupi baadaye, nimegeuka nikawa video vixen kwenye wimbo wake mpya na Bahati,” Larry Madowo captioned a photo he posed with Rayvanny.
Bahati and Rayvanny collaborated to drop a new song dubbed ‘Nikumbushe’. The video was uploaded on YouTube on April 4th.
The theme of the song is good boys gone bad because of fame – Bahati and Rayvanny develop unrealistic sense of superiority and are unbothered by their insensitive actions.
Bahati walks out of a TV interview with Larry Madowo while Rayvanny gives his fans a cold shoulder when they mobbed him.
Gospel singer Bahati and Wasafi records singer Rayvanny have finally dropped their new song and both their Kenyan and Tanzanian fans are excited to see what the two had been cooking in the studio.
Though the video is not out, Bahati has shared a link to their audio and in less than 24 hours the song ‘Nikumbushe’ was being shared all over social media. As expected it was produced Diamond Platnumz’s record label but unlike most of Bahati’s songs, this time around one has to pay Tsh. 300 to get it on your devices.
Kenyan musicians are now rushing to Tanzania to do business with Diamond Platnumz. Willy Paul was the first artiste from the 254 to ink a deal with the Tanzanian superstar.
The deal Willy Paul signed with Diamond saw his song ‘I Do’ being sold on Wasafi.com – a music streaming site owned by Diamond.
Bahati has also rushed to Tanzania to ink a similar deal with Diamond, his new song ‘Nikumbushe’ is now available online on Wasafi.com.
Bahati travelled to Dar es Salaam with his girlfriend/prayer partner Diana Marua. He met Diamond and his manager Babu Tale at Wasafi office.
Unlike Willy Paul who was at ease when he met Diamond, Bahati humbled himself before the Tanzanian superstar – just like the way a primary school pupil behaves in the presence of a no nonsense teacher.
Ringtone has taken a swipe at Bahati and Willy Paul claiming the two haven’t made any wealth because they are masquerading as gospel artists while in reality they are just secular singers.
The “Tenda Wema” hit maker claimed he was the richest gospel artiste in Kenya because he was truly walking in the path of the Lord.
“I do not sing to eat. No, God has blessed me abundantly with business ventures that support my living standards and for that reason, I can tell off anyone without fear or favour because I have my own money. Maybe you don’t know it, but I am probably the richest gospel artiste in Kenya. Some of these small boys you see misbehaving in the name of the Lord are on their way to making music. They have made no wealth whereas, I have made both music and wealth,” Ringtone told the Nairobian.
The flamboyant singer encouraged Willy Paul and Bahati to walk in the path of the Lord so that they could become rich like him.
Ringtone said Bahati and Willy Paul will only own houses in Karen and Runda once they ditch their camouflage and stop singing secular songs.
“I made my money by working for the Lord with honour and humility. That is what I keep telling Willy Paul; that the day they will start walking on the path of the Lord by first ceasing to sing music that is on the fence, the day they will be born of God, that is the day you will hear that Bahati owns a house in Runda and Willy Paul owns a mansion in Karen. As long as they keep the current trend, they will come across as big names in the local gospel industry, but continue living along Mombasa Road and Eastlands, sijui huko ni wapi!” Ringtone quipped.
Ringtone sentiments could be easily provoke laughter considering only four months ago he was kicked out of a seven bedroom mansion in Karen that he had been leasing.
According to a termination of lease letter addressed to the singer by lawyers acting on behalf of the property landlord, Ringtone was thrown out after he defaulted rent payment for two months, the rent was Kes 200,000 per month.
