“Never ever force a man to be in his child’s life” Pierra Makena takes pride in being a single mum

Despite the curves, gorgeous looks and brains, Pierra Makena ended up becoming a single parent. This is after realizing she was pregnant for the man she had parted ways with back in 2016.

Unfortunately, the guy moved on quite fast and being a good woman – Pierra chose not to disrupt anything her ex had started with his new found love.

He had moved on and dating by the time I discovered that I was pregnant and didn’t want to disrupt what they had just because I was pregnant. He started dating while we were not together so it’s all good.

4 years as a single parent

Having chosen the path of a single mother, Pierra Makena says this was the best decision ever! According to Pierra, being a single parent has taught her the art hard work and importantance of being independent.

Through her Instagram page, Pierra went on to celebrate her daughter’s 4th birthday saying;

Im soo proud of my years as a single parent than i have ever been in my life.

I thought Raising my child without the father will be disastrous only to realise we just panic and think we can’t do without a man’s help…yet we are capable and strong.

If a man does not want to be in his childs life…never ever force him……assume his position and raise the child for him.

Popular TV presenter tests positive for Coronavirus days after splashing millions on wife’s birthday

KBC journalist Bonnie Musambi just last week took the Internet by storm after splashing millions on his wife as she turned a year older, only for him to test positive for Covid-19.

The TV and radio personality who has proven extra when it comes to treating his wife to the finest things in life apparently had contracted the disease 3 weeks ago but kept it under wraps for reasons best known to him.

3 weeks down the line and he confirms he has fully recovered after defeating the symptoms. Taking to social media, the moneyed radio host attested:

It is done, now I can reveal. I tested positive for Covid-19 more than three weeks ago but now am healed.

Disclosing that he had to self-isolate to protect his wife and two children who he revealed are well as he gets back on duty.

However I isolated myself and now am well. My family is well and am glad to be back on my feet. Glory to God!

Boniface Mutisya Musambi went ahead to share his patient report at the time he tested positive for the lethal virus.

His revelation comes weeks after the National broadcaster, KBC announced that two of its employees had tested positive for the virus.

Comedian Njoro has not been okay for the past few months and thanks to Zeddy we now know what has been going on behind the closed doors.

Turns out that Njoro has been drowning in depression and alcohol just like the rest of the comedians we have since come to know. Luckily for him, Njoro has been given the opportunity to share his story which has left many shocked and feeling sorry for him.

Well, Njoro has been facing the usual financial troubles and since he has not been performing for the Churchill show; we can imagine how tough it has been for him! Speaking to Zeddy, Njoro opened up about his suicidal attempts for the first shocking many.

Ya kwanza nililamba dawa ya Panya, nilikuwa nalamba ka Glucose, ya pili nilibuy dawa ya Ng’ombe, hiyo nilikuwa nimeambiwa ukichapa ni hivyo, nilichapa hiyo. Ingine nilijaribu kujikata hapa kwa Mkono but Zote Zilifail.

Depression is real

According to Njoro sometime late last year he drove to View point and his plan was to driving off a cliff hoping to end his life.

October, November December, nilikuwa mbaya hata ukinotice Instagram yangu hiyo time sikuwa napost anything, ni state nilikuwa. Nilikuwa mbaya. Kuna ile time nilikucall, nilikuwa nataka kwenda kujipeana hapa View point, nilikuwwa nataka kwenda kurusha Gari na huko chini.

However each time he tried to end his life something always stopped him. Speaking about his last attempt, Njoro said;

Caroline Mutoko has come out to attack men for pretending to be too immune to Coronavirus, following Papa Shirandula’s controversial demise.

The no-nonsense media personality lashed out at Kenyan men for an ego too high to even afford to take fruits, wash hands or just take frequent baths to protect themselves and their families from the adverse effects of Covid-19.

Carol came out to forewarn men that this level of ignorance and pride is what is going to take them to their grave if they don’t watch out!

The very idea that a virus could come after you, all the man that you are is impossible, until the virus does come to you. Number two “Oh Lord, you hate water!” Someone has to beg you to wash your hands and this is pre-Covid. “Ow, shower? Oh that’s news!”

Youthful comedian Njoro born George Maina is in dire need of financial and mental support days after comedienne Zainabu Zeddy exposed his poor mental and financial status.

The known hilarious guy with a Kikuyu accent unfortunately reached a dead end after depression got a better part of him, saw his dad get diagnosed with Cancer and left with 4 children to take care of.

During Zeddy’s recent visit to his parent’s home in Nakuru, a frail-looking 27-year old Njoro admitted he was forced to live with his mother after life took a toll on him.

Revelation

Adding that he lost everything, friends, work and even a stable mental state.

Maisha imenitandika! We ndio comedian wa kwanza amekuja. You know when you lose everything, even friends, everyone! Even where I currently stay is at home in Nakuru.

Turns out that soon as Njoro went MIA on Churchill Show late 2019, he was actually struggling with depression, having tried committing suicide thrice to no avail.

Truth be told, I am not doing well, I’m at a very bad position. Late last year I got drained until I sank into depression, at least now there are drugs I am taking. My dad became so ill, he was diagnosed with Cancer of the stomach, I lost everything and I have 4 kids to take care of.

Njoro pleaded with Kenyans to come through for him in the little ways they can.

So whoever can help me, just help me where you can. Right now I don’t even need rehab because I stopped taking alcohol, right now what I need is a counselor for my depression. These drugs I take are very expensive and right now my situation does not allow me to afford them. Whatever job you have, I will take it, I can start even Monday.

Attempted suicide

Further narrating the turn of events when he attempted suicide but failed:

There is a time I wanted to commit suicide at around Viewpoint, veer off the road and just give my life to God but it never worked. There was this Lorry Driver who attached a towing rope to my car, so I could not move. The first time I leaked rat poison like glucose. The second time, I took some medicine then the third time, in December I tried slitting my wrist but they all failed.

Karen Hospital’s cryptic response to negligence claims over Papa Shirandula’s death leaves Kenyans in shock

Following Papa Shirandula’s untimely death, Karen hospital was put on the spot by his widow, Beatrice Andega over negligence of the comedian’s critical condition that eventually led to his demise.

Soon after, Kenyans took to Twitter to blast the Nairobi-based hospital painting it in all sorts of dark images before it was forced to respond to the same.

Response

In a statement as seen by Ghafla, its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mrs Juliet W. Nyaga first slammed media houses for ignorance and failing to validate claims with the hospital, regards the tragic occurrence.

We are greatly aggrieved by this action as The Karen Hospital is specialised hospital licensed and certified by The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.

Seemingly bashing claims of negligence, labeling itself as a hospital that maintains its high quality of service to the Kenyan people and especially now during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Karen Hospital carries all its operations with the utmost duty to care for our patients.

The statement further divulged that necessary procedures that might have delayed Papa’s admission on that fateful day, has been the hospital’s routine and therefore, had to be observed.

It’s imperative to note that The Karen Hospital has robust hospital policy guidelines dealing with any patient/next of kin matters.

However, the statement closed off, asking the media to verify their facts before disseminating any sorts of claims regards the city hospital to the Kenyan public.

Addressed?

Unfortunately, it concluded at that, failing to address whether or not Papa would have been saved, were they more careful in their examination and considerate at his hour of need.

The hospital seemingly neither denied nor confirmed the claims, instead distancing themselves from the fatal incident.

“I have tested POSITIVE for Covid-19” Jeff Koinange

Citizen TV’s news anchor Jeff Koinange has come out to announce that he recently tested positive for Coronavirus; but at the moment he already has doctor’s looking after him.

The anchor announced this through his social media pages where he went on to add that he feels fine; and so is his family who will remain in quarantine for the next 2 weeks. According to Jeff all those he was in contact with have already been contacted and will definitely have to be tested too!

Through his Instagram page Jeff wrote;

Papa Shirandula’s death

This comes just a few hours after Papa Shirandula was laid to rest in Busia after he allegedly succumbed to Covid 19. His wife Beatrice, however seems to have doubts about the results and continues to insist that doctors should have tested her late husband for pneumonia and Malaria.

Admission was just another process, Im telling please he needs support as an emergency the time they are still preparing, he passed on while i was with him in the vehicle. He was not even admitted, he passed on seated on the seat of the car. I went to ask the doctor how many tests did you carry out, the doctor only said one…I asked why and they were meant to be three. Why did you concentrate only on one, the weather here is not even conducive to our lives, we have to carry out the three of them pneumonia to confirm also.

However, as for now the public believes that the actor was killed by the virus but oh well, who knows!

Popular actress Neomi Nganga is among the few who were left dumbfound after Papa Shirandula passed on, having made promises he never lived to see come to fruition.

Neomi recalled how she loved calling the late Papa ´zaddy´ who liked it as well. The renowned plus size women activist would label him so because of his plus size, making her rethink she needs to expand her boundaries and incorporate the men too in her works.

Since he left Kiss FM, Andrew Kibe has only been serving us more juice about his personal life, opening up on vital events no one was privy to before.

The blunt radio personality recently opened up about his dark moments, how every chiq he dates, keeps taking off with his goods, leaving him depressed.

During his recent meetup with his boys, Kibe shared his story only for everyone else in his circle to admit to the same, leaving him in shock!

I talked about how this auctioneers f**ked me in the a$$ and everybody in the room, had a story or two about themselves and I was surprised. The whole time I have been keeping to myself because I thought I was special. That I was the only one.

I didn’t know it happens and that auctioneers are many. Business is real out here! This means there is something wrong with this system, we can’t all be suffering the same fate! It’s impossible!

Papa Shirandula’s wife has come out to eulogize her late husband who passed on on Saturday, July 18th. According to reports the late Papa Shirandula died at the Karen Hospital; but what we were not told is that he actually died outside the hospital and not inside!

His wife Beatrice Adenga revealed this while speaking moments after her husband’s funeral back in Busia. According to the widow, she watched her husband the late Charles Bukeko take his last breathe in their car after doctor’s at the Karen Hospital refused to admit him.

Jalang’o was among the few people invited to attend the late Papa Shirandula’s funeral that went down in this morning in Busia!

Having allegedly died from COVID-19; Papa’s funeral would have been conducted in a private ceremony just like the rest of the reported cases; to avoid over crowding and risk of spreading the virus to others!

Kiss FM’s presenter Jalang’o was among the people who attended the funeral and judging from the posts shared on his page; Papa appears to have been buried already and his grave cemented before fans and friends arrive to pay their last respects!

According to reports, the late Papa Shirandula succumbed to COVID-19 which makes him the second celebrity from Kenya to die of the virus.

His funeral also confirms that indeed the actor had been battling with Corona which ended up robbing him of his life!

There are however those who claim that the story surrounding his death may have been cooked; but truth is, Kenyans entertainment industry has been robbed off one of the best actors we had come to see so far!

Papa will not only be remembered for his ‘Luhya’ vibe but also his kind heart, jovial personality and a people’s person! Through his TV show, the late Charles touched many hearts and cheered those who had no reason to smile!

His legacy will however remain standing and although he may have not received the kind of burial he deserved; we know all is well since this pandemic appears not to be picky – and if not careful, one may end up in the grave themselves!

The late Papa Shirandula born Charles Bukeko was finally laid to rest today at his home in Busia County following his passing on on Saturday, July 18th at the Karen Hospital.

The popular thespian reportedly succumbed to Covid-19 awaiting treatment at the city hospital while inside his car.

Early Monday morning, July 20, his body was lowered into the ground by Ministry of Health officials following the strict Covid-19 measures put in place regards burials and contact with individuals already infected with the virus.

No family, not even his wife or children were allowed close to his coffin as security officers present at the morning event ensured Covid-19 measures were strictly being observed.

Unfortunately, what transpired during the event is what Papa’s widow, Beatrice Andega revealed through her eulogy.

The heartbroken mother of three blamed Karen Hospital for negligence of her late husband, back when they still had the chance to save his life but did not.

Beatrice revealed she rushed Papa to the medical facility on the fateful day, waited with Papa in the car while awaiting his admission procedures.

Sadly, Papa lost time and breathed his last inside the car. She shared:

Papa was supposed to undergo three tests; coronavirus, pneumonia and malaria. When I asked the doctors whether they did all three, they said no.

She failed to understand why the medical staff ignored other possibilities that eventually saw her husband succumb.

I asked them why they only focused on Covid-19 while he could also be suffering from something else. I wish they did everything for him, but it has happened.

Fellow comedians, friends and family of the late Papa were in attendance to pay their last respects.

Meanwhile, Papa’s father, Cosmas Bukeko stated he needs an explanation from the hospital.

I will travel to Nairobi and together with his wife, we shall engage a lawyer to get proper information from the hospital.

The duo was however not able to crack the puzzle with Internet DCIs taking over and patching together photos of the two in the same location and there were no more secrets.

But now that we’re out in the public, I can finally take her for lunch and all that. I know it’s definitely gonna be a nice one, relaxed and free.

Zari Hassan has been having a tough time with her 3 year old son who does not understand why he has to be locked in; when all along he had been enjoying the outside and most of all, the company of his friends.

A few days ago Zari revealed how Nillan cut her expensive white couch using a knife; and being a toddler, the only punishment he might have received is some time off and probably no electronic gadgets for a few days.

However on Wednesday, 15 July Nillan happened to pull a similar stunt; but this time around he demolished his mum’s package; leaving her feeling like she could cut off the small boy’s head.

Tears flow as Tecra Muigai’s boyfriend Omar Lali is finally set free (Photos)

Omar Lali and his family broke down to tears on Thursday, July 16, as the court declared him a free man.

This comes following his arrest on Tuesday by a Lamu Court on the belief that enough evidence had been found against him in the murder of the late Keroche heiress.

Yesterday, July 15, the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) had ordered a mental assessment be done on Omar Lali to ascertain that he was in good mental state, fit to stand trial.

However, today, July 16, the court set the 54-year old Lamu native free after the DPP requested for an open inquest to terminate the murder case against Mr Lali.

A notice that has since been granted by the High Court as the matter now lies under inquest in Lamu.

Following the good news, emotions ran high as family and friends took to give thanks and celebrate the special moment, as they welcomed the troubled man back home with hope to forever have peace.

Freddy Milanya of popular Gengetone music group Matata has finally said “I Do” to his longtime girlfriend in an exclusive event.

In a series of photos seen by Ghafla, the excited pair seemed grateful to have finally formalized their relationship, looking forward to brighter, fulfilling days together.

Freddy donned a black and white tuxedo as his mzungu bride opted for a simple, low V-neck bridal gown paired with a white veil and a matching bouquet of flowers.

Meanwhile, his groomsmen put on navy blue suits, complementing the day with an outdoor photoshoot in the glaring sun.

Crowning the celebrations, was the couple’s kiss as they drove off in their convertible.

Popular radio presenter opens up on tough battle with kidney stones

Kenyan award-winning radio presenter, Billy Miya has opened up on his battle with kidney stones that got him admitted in hospital for a week.

The popular Radio Maisha presenter was at the time heading to a police station to settle a pending issue before experiencing sharp pains below his belly.

Up and close with Pulse Live, Billy recalled:

I had an appointment with the police, so on reaching the police station I experienced very sharp pains in succession just below my belly.

He held on a bit but as the pains got severe, he decided to check himself into an AAR healthcare facility before being referred to a different hospital that established the cause of the pain as kidney stones.

Billy underwent laser operation to relieve the pain and thereafter got admitted in hospital for a week to help him recover.

When I couldn´t take it anymore I drove myself to AAR where they referred me to a hospital where I got diagnosed with kidney stones. I stayed in the hospital for a week after going through laser operation.

Billy Miya has been known for his morning show BillyNaTricky at Standard Group’s Radio Maisha where he co-hosted with comedian MCA Tricky before his exit last week.

The bond between Jalang’o and Alex Mwakideu has grown them career-wise and personally, with the comedian now declaring her has stopped drinking from today onwards.

This is in solidarity with the Milele FM presenter, Mwakideu who gave up alcohol late last year after 18 years of alcoholism.

During his show on YouTube, Jalang’o expressed pride in the stand Mwakideu took towards alcohol before Alex urged Jalang’o to do the same, for a brother.

Revealed! How Eric Omondi robbed Jalang’o his only chance at Kiss FM

Turns out that Jalang’o started off his radio career at Kiss FM, back when he was still young and green with the likes of Caroline Mutoko before he got axed out by comedian Eric Omondi.

Narrating the sad story during his recent YouTube interview, Jalang’o revealed that Mutoko and Jeff Koinange molded him into who he has become today. With Alex Mwakideu holding him up for Swahili radio.

Unfortunately, as he was trying to hone his skills in the then-just established radio space in Kenya, Jalang’o lacking experience, was quickly ousted out by well crafted Eric Omondi who took his place at Kiss FM.

My first time at Kiss FM, I was still young and green in the field of radio. I felt I needed something different and when other people were brought in, I did not feel the vibe. They told me to join Radio Maisha instead but it had just been born. That is when Eric Omondi came in and took my slot at Kiss FM.

Unfortunately, for Eric, this did not last, exiting barely a week after he got hired

But it was just one week and he could not cope. He had other businesses to run.

Milele FM contract dispute

Divulging unknown details of his ugly saga at Milele FM that cost him his job, Jalang’o told Mwakideu:

I was jobless. I had nothing to do and I was having a push and pull with the HR at Mediamax. No radio job, nowhere to go, I had been fired! Then I got a call for a job [at Kiss FM] and I didn´t think twice.

Before admitting that Milele FM was one radio station they pulled from the grassroots to where it currently boasts as Kenya’s leading Swahili station but they never appreciated him enough.

We brought Milele FM from the grassroots up to where it is currently as Kenya’s no. 1 Swahili radio but when we talked to our bosses, they were not willing to pay as according to how we delivered. So I thought it’s time I left.

Regardless of whatever I am getting paid at Kiss FM, I am still grateful and happy that I am back home, where I started.
