“Keyboard warriors cannot bring me down” Samidoh

Mugithii singer Samidoh has been making headlines for the past three months all thanks to baby mama, Karen Nyamu.

I mean, if not for her – we would have never found out about their affair that also now involves their months old baby boy.

However just like any other bitter mum left by a man she loves; Ms Nyamu spilled details about her affair with singer Samidoh who is husband to one, Eddah Nderitu.

As expected this brought issues to his family and the worst part is that his two women somehow got to throw shade at each other on social media.

But unlike the Jimal, Amber and Amira’s situation – we can at least say Samidoh’s women chose to stay on the low after their family scandal starte d to get out of hand.

Anyway just recently the popular singer had a candid interview with Nation. Africa; where he narrated his experience with the whole saga surrounding his family.

Speaking during the interview, Samidoh went on to reveal how the drama affected both his families; adding that the scandal actually hit him harder than Covid. He said;

“The pandemic has hit us hard. Chancing on a show is a near miracle nowadays…We are in real trouble. But this issue of my public prominence for all the bad reasons appeared destined to ransack my life and leave it completely bared,”

The young man who is now a father of 3 however went on to add that despite the drama; he was not about to let his life get affected by keyboard warriors looking to ruin his life. He went on to add;

There is no way I could survive Al-Shabaab bullets while serving in some of the volatile parts of north-eastern counties only to come and be brought down by keyboard warriors who were armed with nothing more than mere toxic words,”

And in conclusion, Samidoh admitted that the Karen situation also affected him positively as he is now more than ever close to his God.

Today I can tell you for sure that my God liveth. The issue is now behind me and we are all coping alright…But I have a word of caution for the social media battalions…we are all human with our own flaws…let us not be quick to compete driving our fellow human beings over the emotional cliff

Zari Hassan’s South African reality show lands at Netflix

Netflix has swooped in to land a reality series about Zari Hassan and boy are we excited for the boss lady setting standards to allAfrican women.

The excited mother of 5 shared the good news through her social media pages where she introduced the new show dubbed, Young, famous and African. From the caption this show will be based on Zari’s life and those of her friends in Mzansi.

Being one who was married and divorced to a rich husband, there is so much fans are yet to learn about the boss lady; and what better way than a reality show that will allow fans to get to know Zari better.

Introducing the show through a poster shared on her page, Ms Zari wrote;

Anyway in less than 24 hours after Bahati dropped a new song dubbed take it slow, singer cum rapper Noti Flow came forth to throw shade at Baha; saying that the singer was wearing fake clothes or rather trying too much to stay stylish – yet his stylist keeps failing him.

Being one with zero chills, Noti Flow dropped a savage comment at fans who kept comparing Baba Heaven’s look to that of Bongo singer Diamond Platnumz.

This is after the two artists stepped out wearing ‘puff Jackets and ankle pants’ not forgetting man purse; which fans feel looked similar – but according to Noti Flow, one of the artists ~~Bahati~~; was forcing matters with his Imenti House clothes.

This comment left on Nairobi Gossip’s page attracted more mean comments about Bahati’s taste; while others quickly asked the former singer to fire his stylist for always failing him.

Although Bahati doesn’t really look so bad – the oversized blue puff jacket overshadowed his small handbag; making it look like a sling bag – Heaven Bahati would carry around their house.

“If only I knew…” Radio King Jalang’o reveals why he regrets posting his daughters on social media

He came from the village and ensured he hustled harder than any other person; and years later – Jalang’o has managed to bag the life he had always wanted for himself and future offsprings.

For those who don’t know, Jalang’o has a first born daughter known as Salika from his first marriage-trial with ex, Cheptoek Boyo.

Just like most first time couples, things did not work out between them; and life forced them to part ways hence coparenting which seems to work great as both Jalas and ex wife continue to be supportive friends.

Radio king meets new wife

Anyway about 3/4 years after Salika was born, daddy Jalango met a new lady (current wife, Amina Chao) who also welcomed a baby girl – a year or two after settling down.

Being a protective father, the radio presenter rarely parades his babies online; expect for the one time when he took his girls out for lunch. This is the very first time we got to meet his daughter with Amina; and boy does she look like Salika – but a light skin version.

Judging from the photos it was obvious to tell that this blended family lives in harmony; and if anything his girls are actually best of friends.

However speaking a day after Father’s Day, Jalango for the first opened you about to reveal why he regrets showing off his kids through social media.

In a detailed talk with one Kamene Goro, the fella went on to say;

I actually regret posting my daughters on social media. One, I don’t know if that is what she would have liked, two, for her privacy’s sake.

Well, the fact that he is also a well known man Jalang’o went on to add that he doesn’t want his kids to be treated different just because of their dad.

Willis Raburu is not just a presenter but an artist. About a year ago we saw the Citizen TV host drop a banger ‘wabebe’ featuring Rekless and other gengetone artists; and truth is – we loved it.

For the first time Kenyan artists were finally finding a genre they can identify themselves with. With Tz being known for Bongo music, Kenya was now all about Gengetone. At first it all good and apart from the nudity, vulgar lyrics and drugs that kept turning many off; at least Kenyan music was finally getting some recognition.

However after Corana pandemic happened, the Gengetone music industry started to slowly fade away; and before we could notice this – most artists i.e Ethic, sailorz and even Kartelo himself stopped making headlines like before.

Speaking about his experience as an artist from the Ghetto; Kartelo this past weekend opened up about some of the struggles boys his age have been going through since they became famous.

According to the guy, there are people who had been working overtime to kill the Gengetone industry; forgetting that this is the same industry that has helped reduced crime in the society.

He went on to give examples of how Ethic’s Swat inspired ‘youngins’ to invest in their talents whether music or dancing; and just when things were looking up – some powerful cartels decided to wipe them off meaning most would resume to the life of crime.

Well, it’s not clear as to how Kartelo’s down fall came so fast especially with friends like Chipukeezy around; but all I know is that there is something the young artist is not telling his fans.

Probably this is because he cannot snitch on his former friend; but with time – fans are pretty sure Kartelo will open up about his downfall.

Anyway seeing how Kartelo and others have hit rock bottom after their short lived fame; Willis Raburu has promised to step in to ensure these boys don’t go back to their old habits of theft and dealing drugs. Through his gram the Citizen TV host said;

Nairobi relationships are just complicated! One minute a spouse is caught cheating – they blame the devil and repent; only for them to fall back into the same temptation again. Asking how?

Well, even after Samidoh issued what appeared to be a heartfelt apology to his wife and fans where he wrote;

I have put my family and myself in a bad situation.It is true I had a friendship with ms. Karen Nyamu and its this involvement that led to the birth of an innocent child whom i have and will always support both emotionally and materially.I am a proud father to my children.

Low key love

Seems like Mugithii singer, Samidoh cannot keep off – Karen Nyamu’s cookie jar; as the ‘couple’ was spotted partying at the same club this past weekend.

Although there is no photo of the two together; it’s obvious that this two are doing more than coparenting- hence the white cap Ms Nyamu wore to avoid paparazzi.

Business mogul Dr Chris Kirubi finally laid to rest (Photos)

On 14th June the country lost a great business man, Dr Chris Kirubi who was not only known for his contribution in the enterprise world; but also for his fun side as she doubled up as a DJ too.

However after battling cancer for close to 3 years; the business mogul finally rested on Friday, 14th leaving behind 2 children as revealed by sources close to the Kirubi family.

To announce his demise, the Kirubi family released a short statement where they wrote;

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Christopher J. Kirubi who passed away today at 1 pm at his home after a long battle with cancer fought with fortitude, grace and courage. He was surrounded by his family

Laid to rest

Having passed on at the age of 80 years, we can indeed say that the late businessman lived well; and has left a great legacy behind that will be continued by his children and grand children.

From the reports shared online we understand that the business mogul was laid to rest at Bendor Farm in Murang’a County; and those who got to attend the event were just close friends and family.

Okay, we will probably never understand why business lady Amira still hangs on to the fact that high-school sweetheart; cum husband Jimal, only has one wife – but so far all we know is that the lady claims that; Amber Ray (Faith) is not her co wife.

The two ladies popularly known as ‘Real House wives of Syokimau” recently left no stone unturned while calling out each other on social media; all because of one handsome man – Jimal who is said to be their shared husband.

Just like any other dramatic ‘wives’ – both Amira and Amber ended up disclosing private information about their homes; while husband, Jimal went on about his life – posting funny memes on his IG page.

However, one of her said close friends recently leaked a video showing Bridget Achieng in her natural self; and allow me to say that we all felt played. Well, this is because the body seen on the video is nothing like what Bridget Achieng parades on social media.

Don’t get me wrong, the body is beautiful in its own way and the fact that it once housed a child, then it’s allowed! From the jelly stomach to the thick things – it’s obvious to tell that this video was edited since clearly there were no filters to conceal the imperfection.

Unfortunately for Jalango, when he started dating a Nairobi lady – things had not looked up for him; as he had just debuted his ‘brand’ through comedy and was living off small Cheques.

From what we know is that the couple got engaged and married about 6 months ago after their low key relationship. However Vera being one who enjoys parading her life on social media, the well kept secret found its way on social media.

Judging from how the former socialite carries herself around Mauzo, it’s clear to see that she is in love with the guy; but as for Mauzo – he prefers keeping his gangster points in check – hence no public romance on his page.

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino is not ashamed of his past. In fact, he is willing to use his past life experiences to educate the youths; and thanks to an interview he did with Robert Alai – we get to know how his experience with drugs.

Just like most youths, Babu Owino says that he has used all types of drugs that is from soft to hard drugs. The fella said;

Personally, I’ve consumed everything. I’ve consumed soft drugs, moderate drugs and even hard drugs. But I didn’t see the benefit of it because it almost led to my destruction.

Just to give an example of some of the drugs he has used before, Babu went on to say;

I have done a lot of drugs, I’ve done cocaine, heroin and many brands of alcohol but that was in my last life and I have to admit that these drugs impair your judgement and they don’t help the body in any way. If anything, they do a lot of harm to the body.

Seeing how his interview with friend Robert Alai was getting recognition on social media; the politician shared a detailed post through his gram talking about the importance of recognizing the struggle of drug abuse in our society. He wrote;

KENYAN SOCIETY NEEDS TO CONFRONT THE REALITY OF DRUG USE AMONG THE YOUTH. My attention has been draw to a clip circulating on social media from an interview I did with my friend Robert Alai about my history with drugs of abuse. I wish to take this opportunity to give that clip some context.

How it all began

On the same post, Babu Owino mentioned how and why he found himself drowning in drugs like most youths. The young leader said;

Yes, I can confirm that in the past, like many young Kenyans struggling with identity, I fell victim to drugs of abuse. I was in a dark place in my life; everything appeared rosy to the public but inside, I was struggling with my demons and my outlet was alcohol and drugs.

Testimony

On the same post, Babu added that his main reason for the interview is to educate Kenyans on the effects of drugs; and him being a public figure means his story is the perfect example. He went on to add;

The reason I went public with this very personal testimony is to show my fellow young Kenyans that your past does not have to define your future. I knew that there would be varied reactions to my story – “How can an MP be involved in something like that? But your life appears to be so good? What do you struggle with compared to ordinary people?”

And…

Drugs do not distinguish between rich and poor, young and old, male or female; it can affect anybody! But you do not have to carry the mistakes of yesterday into today. It IS possible to break free from the yoke of drug use and turn your life around.

Word of advice

To those who continue to battle with their demons on the low; the politician encouraged them not give into the ‘devils’ whispers saying;

I can confirm that with the help of God, I have broken the chains of darkness. I have been alcohol and drug free for over one year and thanks to the invaluable support of my lovely wife, my friends and the people of Embakasi East, I have managed to reclaim my story.I no longer have a secret with the devil.

And in conclusion, he wrote;

I know there are many of you out there struggling with drug use. I know how it can seem so hopeless. God can do for you what no man can. Trust in God and don’t be afraid to make that first step. It is possible! I hope through this testimony, I can provoke a long overdue conversation about the reality of drug abuse in Kenyan society.

The beautiful Aeedah Bambi who snatched Senator Anwar Loitiptip from Saumu Mbuvi; is said to be going through a tough time following an incident that occurred during Bahati’s album launch this past weekend.

According to reports, the Senator apparently decided to put his hands on Ms Aeedah Bambi; after he caught her red handed flirting with another brother during the said event.

Although there is no way to prove that the lady was beaten – sources close to the couple have confirmed that all has not been well.

So far the two ladies have been involved in serious online fights – that not only left them looking like drama queens; but also confirmed that they will never live as co wives despite their husband wanting to keep them both.

However fans feel that Amber Ray is only dating Mr Jimal for obvious reasons ~~money~~; but thanks to a new post shared on the lady’s IG – could be that fans judged her wrong as she now refers to herself as Jimal’s Nyumba ndogo.

Well, being one who recently got married as a second wife – Amber proudly danced to this anthem; and from the comments – it’s obvious that the post was dedicated to Amira.

NTV’s Grace Ekirapa opens up about difficult relationship with step mum

Grace Ekirapa is slowly catching the attention of Kenyans and we cannot blame her for this. I mean, she is doing quite well on NTV’s crossover show and the fact that she married TV sweetheart, Pascal Tokodi; let’s just say – this lady has it all.

However what many didn’t know is that Ekirapa lost her dear mum when she was still quite young; something that forced both her and sisters to raise each other.

Speaking during a recent interview with Mark Brandon, the petite lady opened up about her family history saying;

My mum was half Indian, half Maasai. Her death was not easy on my dad. Losing the love of his life was hard on him. We did not know a lot of people from my mum’s side so we had to support each other.

Dad moves on

What Ekirapa and sisters didn’t expect is that their dad would easily replace their mum a few years later on after her death. According to Ekirapa, this did not seem possible especially after seeing how the two loved each other; but to their surprise – the old man found a new woman to settle down with a few months after grieving. She went on to say;

My dad married again and brought a total stranger who was supposed to be our step mum but we could not understand it.

Adding;

We could not understand how our dad wanted to replace our mum yet we were still very little.

Struggle with Step mum

Just like any other girl children, Ekirapa and her sisters did not get along with their step mum; who they claim had taken their dads attention from them.

However despite the hard times they faced in the absence of their biological mum; Ms Ekirapa is grateful that they came out strong and life continues to look up for both her and sisters.

Actress Angel Waruinge popularly known as Ms Morgan says she has lived it all. From enjoying money and fame to hitting rock bottom; believe me we now understand why her story continues to inspire many fans out here.

Just a few months ago, Ms Morgan opened up about her struggle with alcoholism; and at some point – she broke down while revealing about unknown daughter.

Yes, Ms Morgan has a daughter who she prefers keeping on the low as to protect her from the online life. However, what many don’t know is that she had been raining this young girl all on her own; after baby daddy chose to walk out. Speaking about this during a recent radio interview, Ms Morgan said;

I am a single mother na sina bwana physical. Itakuwa aje nikiwa so selfish niache huyu mtoto peke yake? That is not the kind of family set-up I was brought up in,”

She went on to add;

Achana na baby daddy. Sitamwongelea vibaya but he is not there and he is not in the picture. I avoid talking ill about him since his blood runs in the blood of my daughter,

Legal battle

Just like most mums with deadbeats, Ms Morgan says she tried getting legal help for child support; but as usual – the system remains messed up if not corrupt.

According to Ms Morgan, she tried getting help but all this was in vain; she went on to say;

I tried to follow the law but it got to a point where I gave up and said I was not going to force him to be in his daughter’s life. I went to court and he asked for DNA. Can you imagine? Ikakuja 99.9 per cent of him. It’s okay but acha imkule.

Although daughter Immani does not have a father in her life, Ms Morgan was confident that her brother and father will step in to fill in the gap.

I have a brother, a dad and so a man figure doesn’t have to be a dad. Those are enough people who can stand with my daughter and I can struggle with my daughter. Ntamfikisha mahali atafika. She is the biggest inspiration after my mum.

Bridget Achieng forced to deactivate son’s social media pages after her nudes leak

Former socialite Bridget Achieng has finally decided to take her 2 year old son off social media; following the naked video that surfaced on social media.

According to the lady, this is the best decision she has had to make since her son was born; and seeing how cruel the online life can be – she now has no choice but to protect her baby, Sekani Rich.

The lady revealed this in a detailed post where she wrote;

Good morning guys I have been thru a lot and it made me think hard about a lot of things, like one day my son gets bullied the same way I have been. I will not be able to forgive myself, that’s why I will protect him at any cost. I don’t want him to limelight and maybe he is destined for something else.

Quits social media

Since she already has a couple of not so good photos and videos on social media; we can bet that this is one of the best decisions she had to make for her child’s sake.

However, not quite sure how quitting social media will help solve the problems she has already caused for her future offsprings; but truth is – she is now learning the hard way. On the same post, Bridget Achieng went on to say;

When he is old enough to decide for himself If he wants to be in social media, I’ll allow him to do so. Until then he is not going to have an IG account.

Rest in paradise: Chris Kirubi losses battle with cancer

Dr Christopher Kirubi has died of cancer at the age of 80. The new was confirmed on Monday 14th, June as revealed by a statement shared by his family.

In the statement shared widely on social media; we understand that the late Christopher J Kirubi spent his last moments in the company of his family. They wrote;

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Christopher J Kirubi (1941-2021) who passed away today, Monday the 14th June, 2021 at 1pm at his home after a long battle with cancer fought with fortitude, grace and courage. He was surrounded by his family. More details shall be released in the coming days.

The late Chris Kirubi’s family have however asked for space to process their loss; as they promised to share more details in the near future.

Battle with cancer

Mr Kirubi’s death comes 3 years after he was diagnosed with cancer as revealed in one of his interviews done in 2019.

The businessman jokingly revealed this while on an interview where he said;

“My cancer was discovered by mistake.”

Adding;

They took my blood and quickly ran checks only to return to tell me that I was very sick and needed to go with them to the hospital. They rushed me through the Emergency section straight to the High Dependency Ward at Nairobi Hospital. I’m told my eyes were yellow and my fever was shooting through the roof. From there it was a series of tests for the next few days as they observed my situation.

“When they finally finished, they broke the news to me that I had stage two cancer, which was affecting my internal organs including the lungs and kidneys. They said I needed to fly out of the country urgently for treatment,”

Despite getting the best treatment in Boston, the businessman unfortunately took his last breath in 2021; leaving many shocked but the same time grateful for the life lessons.

Chris Kirubi was best known for his business skills and of course, popular radio station that has helped many young journalists in Kenya. May his soul Rest In Peace.

Actor Maqbul Mohammed opens up about struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts

Former Capital FM radio host Maqbul recently held a candid interview with Nation; revealing unknown details about his life before, during and after fame.

For those who remember, Maqbul started off as an actor on TV show Reflections; and with time he moved on to another successful show Makutano junction that helped build his career in the entertainment industry.

However what many don’t know is that Maqbul was having a rough time juggling his family life, work and the fame. He opened up for the first during his recent interview saying;

Nobody prepares you for the responsibility that comes with fame, no one tells you about these things. The expectations on me were so much. I worked from Monday to Saturday I was dealing with pressure from TV, radio, marriage, children, clients, agencies and fans. It was too much to take. It was difficult point in my life because I couldn’t balance all these.

Crumbling life

With all the fame he now had, Maqbul says that life became boring and all he could do is spend time by himself; since most people started looking at him differently thanks to his new lifestyle – an actor.

Speaking about this experience that led to dark thoughts of attempting suicide he said;

I would wake up in the morning, get in the car, drive to work and park. I’d then turn on the radio, listen to my cohost (Amina Abdi Rabar) then turn off the road and drive back home. By that time, my wife has gone to work, I get in the room and sleep.

Suicidal thoughts

With no one to bond with or real friends to spend time with; Maqbul says he got to a pint where he felt that ending his own life was the only way out of this fame. He went on to say,

I remember going for a party, got high(drunk) and I thought this is the perfect time to end it. I tried taking some pills, but it didn’t work.

But luckily for him, despite his lowest moments; he learnt that he still had so much to live for. And look at him now!

Tanzanian Singer cum socialite Amber Lulu popularly known for Jini Kisirani hit song gave birth about 2 months ago, welcoming her first child. But unlike other new mums getting to understand their newborns; this particular lady is sadly nursing injuries she got after a serious beating from baby daddy, Emba Botion.

The lady who is well known for her wild ways gave birth 2 months ago; but thanks to a video and a few photos shared on her page – we understand that her marriage hasn’t been easy.

This is after she exposed her baby daddy for giving her a serious beating; despite knowing very well that her body is still healing is still fragile after the whole birthing process.

In one of the photos, Amber mentioned that this has been happening for a while; adding the most ~~dumbest excuse~~ – that she holds on for the sake of her daughter. The lady wrote;

Earlier this morning the Keroche Heiress shared a playful video; where she is seen twirling and showing off her tiny waist in an all black outfit. From the way she moves around on the video, one would easily confuse her with a teenager but hey….we love seeing her happy!

However there is one particular fan who decided to kill Aner’s vibe with a bashing comment where he wrote;

Elodie Zone’s mum weighs in on daughters failed relationship scandal

It must have been a crazy week for Elodie Zone and singer Nviiri who have been making headlines thanks to their failed relationship.

However if not for Elodie, we wouldn’t have learnt about her abusive relationship with the Sol generation singer. This is after the lady accused Nviiri of physically, emotionally and verbally abusing; and after putting up with so much – Elodie finally broke down – hence spilling the details online.

With this revelation, there are those who chose to side with her (feminists) encouraging and sympathizing with her; while others bashed the couple for the drama – not knowing things would get out of hand.

Seeing that most blogs were now discussing this, Elodie once again made the situation worse by blaming her actions on alcohol; adding more blame to bloggers for blowing the situation out of proportion. I mean, how now? She wrote;

Nviiri and I came to Coast with our friends to unwind, relax and make peace with each other. When I made my post, it was fueled by tension and an afternoon of a few too many drinks.
