His message came at a time when the world was celebrating Women’s Day. Jalango’s main aim was to show men the need of appreciating the women in their lives; even though we are living in a generation that seems to be forgetting this.

Mama Dangote is definitely not feeling the Hamisa vibe and even though her super star son is trying so hard to bring peace between the two; the lady seems to be focused else where.

A few days ago Diamond Platnumz left a comment referring the lady as Bibi Dully; and as expected many assumed that the Dangote family was now in good terms with Hamisa Mobetto and her son.

George Ikua celebrates his 10th wedding anniversary to his late wife, Janet Ikua

George Ikua is still slowly learning to accept that his wife Janet Ikua is no more. It has since been 11 months since she passed on but he is proving to be quite strong for their 2 kids.

Just the other day, he celebrated 10 years of his marriage to his late wife despite her not being there to mark the special day with him.

The two got married on March 7th 2008 and This being a year that they would have turned 10 years together; George Ikua could not hold back from remembering his wife in the best possible way.

In his post, George Ikua encouraged couples to love and explore together as everyone is capable of becoming a widow or widower at any given time. He went on to advice them saying;

Create memories, travel by bus, cook her dinner, plant a tree, sing karaoke, walk in the sunset..whatever it is, this is all you will be left with when its all said and done.

He went on to add saying;

As casually as we say in sickness and in health a time a day is coming when you have to be their anchor when their body is broken.

Janet Ikua loses her battle against cancer

The late media personality passed died on 1st April after battling with cancer for years.

She was a true hero who inspired many and till date her legacy is still remembered by her fans!

Jalas and Otos unite!

The comedy show which will consist of a tailor (Jalas), Carpenter (Otos) and Nigerian barbar (Obinna) might just be the most hilarious show to be seen this year.

So far we have witnessed Jalas and Otoyo work together on Papa Shirandula and indeed their chemistry was mind blowing.

Obinna on the other hand has managed to build a strong career thanks to his Nigerian accent. In his new role on Jalas and Otos he once again proves that his is still intact!

Mr Nice finally publicly reveals his HIV status

Tanzanian veteran singer Mr Nice has finally been forced to open up about rumors claiming that he is HIV positive.

The singer who was once among the top celebrities in East Africa has been said to be living with the virus since 2002. This is shortly after his career had picked up giving him an opportunity to get any woman of his choice.

According to rumors Mr Nice lost his sense of direction in music and this is how he met his downfall. However speaking to E-news on EATV the singer opened up addressing the rumor that has been going rounds for years now.

Mr Nice denies living with HIV

According to the singer, the rumor was started back in 2012 by random people looking out to destroy his career. In his defense he says that people who were HIV positive back then have been dead and buried along time ago!

Rumour-mongers have been claiming am HIV positive since 2002.I think I should be dead by now if I was HIV positive since then, but here I am.We’ve buried people infected with Aids in numbers since 2002.

He went on to add that his fans have been quite supportive and none give him stress with the baseless rumors! He concluded by adding;

My fans do not give me headaches with the baseless rumours.They always say that they know me and cannot be misled with the false claims.My enemies are behind the HIV rumours because they’ve tried to bring me down with a number of things including marijuana and women in vain.

Despite denying pregnancy rumors, singer Avril spotted rocking a huge baby bump at renown Antenatal clinic

Avril Nyambura has refused to answer any questions concerning her pregnancy. From what we have heard before is both the singer and rumored baby daddy have been denying the pregnancy rumors.

However Avril’s baby bump keeps getting harder to hide especially now that she is in her last trimester. She was once again spotted at the Aga Khan Hospital’s Princess Zahra Pavillion Antenatal Clinic as reported by edaily.

According to the news outlet, they received a few photos from a reliable source confirming that indeed Avril is pregnant. Also, looking at her recent photos, it’s clear to note that she has been trying to hide her bump using oversized clothes; but either way it won’t be for long.

Citizen TV news anchor Lilian Muli is pregnant and the anticipation of the gender of the baby has been building.

Muli, on her Instagram account, might have given away the gender of the unborn baby after posting a picture of some cute girl’s shoes. She said she has fallen in love with them and was thinking about ordering online.

Expecting baby with Jared Nevaton

According to rumors, the anchor is expecting the baby with flamboyant football administrator Jared Nevaton though she has preferred keeping it to herself. The two have also been rumored to be in a relationship a few times.

Muli made the announcement that she’s pregnant on Instagram with a few lovely photos. In her recent post, Muli however, denied on the comments that the baby might be a girl saying that she thought the shoes were cute.

Anerlisa Muigai’s insult directed to Ibru TV’s presenter?

Anerlisa Muigai took a shot at fat people on her post on social media. The Keroche heiress was forced to apologize, she reveals who her insult was directed to.

Anerlisa surprised her fans when she fired salvos at obese people. She said some fat people could lose weight faster if they run as fast as their mouths.

“If some of y’all would run as fast as you ran your mouths, I am sure by the end of the year, you could be smaller than me. #ObesityIsAChoice,” wrote Anerlisa.

Anerlisa later on apologized for her distasteful post on social media. She explains that her post is directed to someone who people know.

“I wanted to take a moment and apologise for what I posted yesterday. That post was directed at someone most of you know. I am fully responsible for what I post and it’s unfortunate that it got out of hand and offended so many people.  At no given time would I ever disrespect or ridicule people struggling with weight loss as I have been there myself. Trust me, I know just how hard it is. The hashtag #ObesityIsAChoice was referring to those who have the full capacity to work out and eat right but choose not to. I am fully aware that some people suffer from certain conditions that make it hard to lose weight.  Please find a place in your heart to forgive me. I did not mean to offend anyone. Have a blessed week ahead,” wrote Anerlisa.

Anerlisa’s gibe is seen as a clap back to comments made by Ebru TV’s presenter. A plus size presenter at Ebru TV show claimed that Anerlisa had liposuction procedure done to reduce her tummy.

This explains why Anerlisa said that some fat people could lose weight faster if they run as fast as their mouths.

Word has it that Bahati Bukuku and her entourage were attacked by a group of rebels during their ministry mission in Congo.

The veteran Tanzanian gospel singer was apparently out to minister through her songs only to be attacked by gunmen aiming to kill.

From the report shared by one popular Tanzanian newspaper, we understand that she was also in Congo for a gospel concert that almost cost her life. Apparently she was then forced to hide before being rushed to Burudi.

Former Citizen TV news anchor Julie Gichuru is set to have a one-on-one chat with popular Hollywood actress Connie Nielsen who is in Kenya.

Nielsen a Danish actress; is known for her roles in box-office movies such as, The Devil’s Advocate, Gladiator, Wonder Woman and Justice League. She has been in showbiz for almost 34 years now.

There’s less TV-related and news recap posts and a little more of seminude photos. This is because Goro has been featured in a campaign for new lingerie line called Double Dees that was launched recently.

Socialite Vanessa Chettle will not be giving up Her clubbing ways despite having welcomed her daughter about 3 weeks ago.

She revealed this just recently while speaking to SDE. According to Vanessa Chettle her life will continue to go on as usual and therefore people should get used to seeing her clubbing like before.

Vanessa Chettle went on to say that being a single mum does not mean that she will not have time for herself; even if it means being judged by the society. What matters is that her family is supporting her all through.

I am a single parent and I need time for myself. So I decided to go out and celebrate as well as network. What’s wrong with that? As a new mum I am doing the best I can to raise my daughter but I also need time for myself. I am only 22 years and I have support from my family!

About her baby daddy, well….the young lady says that they met in Eldoret and within 3 months, she was already pregnant.

However, after revealing that she was expecting he started ‘acting weird’ and they eventually broke up! They have since not spoken but she believes that he is a man capable of financially supporting his daughter.

“I met him in Eldoret last year and after 3 months I got pregnant. When I broke the news he started behaving weird and we broke up. He has not helped me financially or emotionally. We have never talked but I know he can afford to chip in with the expenses”

Veteran journalist Julie Gichuru has been through many schools in her life as a young girl. She has been at St Christophers School in Nairobi, Green Herald in Bangladesh, India, Karen C school in Nairobi and finally, one that she’ll never forget because of how it changed her life: Loreto Convent Msongari where she completed her lower primary.

At Msongari, she was ushered to a catholic lifestyle and became a passionate Christian thanks to one teacher called Sister Breid.

“Sister Breid (in the blue shawl) was the sweetest, kindest & gentlest soul of all the Nuns that taught me at Loreto Convent Msongari,” said Julie on her instagram post.

“She was incredibly beautiful, I often wondered why she became a Nun (I hereby acknowledge that I had some misplaced notions). She taught our class catechism & told us to pay attention to the Lord’s will and heed God’s call, should He ask us to serve Him as Nuns. As a result I prayed very, very hard, asking and pleading with the Lord never to call me to serve as a Nun, but to allow me to serve in other ways! ?Sister Breid had a passion for children and walked around the school with a collection box for Children Helping Children, we would raise funds to help other children in need. It was important, noble work & she did it with focus & dedication!

She went on to add;

In class we would hear her walk past because she always shook her collection box and the coins clinked together loudly, alerting everyone of her presence & reminding us to find something for the collection box. She was so persistent and constant in this noble endeavour we fondly but cheekily called her Penny Lover. Each time she walked by we’d break into song, “Penny Lover don’t you walk on by…” ?She helped shape me and I thank her and honour her. Today she is celebrating 97 years of life. Thank you Lord for blessing her sweet soul with such a blessed and beautiful life!

Meet LINDA, the ultimate Swahili Soul/RnB female group

It has been a while since we saw female groups coming out to inspire the youth with their music. Back in the early 2000’s, Tattuu was the coolest girl group inspiring the youth with their music.

Well now there is a new girl group, LINDA, in the block and they are giving many a run for their money. They are young professional ladies aiming to drop soulful Swahili music for their fans.

Unlike most groups we have seen in the industry, LINDA which consists of Beryl, Rae and Alexis; they want to showcase a diverse, competent and inspiring girl group that will lead and stand the time.

Being an exotic girl group that is passionate about authentic and heartfelt music and their country Kenya; LINDA has been releasing soulful Swahili music creating an emotional connection across generations.
