Catherine Kamau and husband Phil karanja gave fans a reason to talk shortly after sharing their wedding photos. Being popular and all, the Karanjas made sure to have a low key wedding but as much as it was private; trust me the set up looked just confirmed that this wedding was not just any ordinary ceremony.

From Catherine Kamau’s gown to husband Phil suit – it was evident that these two had gone all out for their special day; and since they had been working nonstop to achieve this beautiful dream… why not spend!

However what fans didn’t know is that these two had strained themselves to ensure the wedding was perfect; and i’m pretty sure Phil had planned to give his wife the best honey moon – forgetting that there is life after the wedding.

As they marked their 3rd wedding anniversary; Catherine Kamau for the first time came out clean revealing what really happened after the wedding.

According to actress she got or rather they got so broke; since the honeymoon in Seychelles turned out to be more expensive than expected. But of course they wouldn’t cancel but luckily, they survived.

Anyway as part of appreciating her husband, Catherine Kamau went on to post saying;

Msituone hapa tulikiwa tumesota mbaya after wedding, we went to Seychelles for our honeymoon we had no idea how expensive the island was ,weeh nways we survived. Word of advice, spend less impressing guys kwa wedding and travel the world with your manz for your honeymoon. Happy anniversary Mr money manager , ???????? we still had fun .

But true love always conquers all and for this two, this was just stepping stone to greater heights!

The Kitili couple has been forced to celebrate their 2 years wedding anniversary locked up at home due to COVID-19.

November 16, 2018, Amina Mude walked the isle to say ‘I Do’ to the popular KTN News senior news anchor, Ben Kitili in a colorful star-studded wedding ceremony.

Two individuals from completely different religious backgrounds decided to break their cultural barriers to make their dreams together, come true.

The unfortunate incident

It has been two years since and still counting, but the couple had to do it all indoor following a COVID-19 situation.

“Our journey isn’t perfect, but its ours and I’ll stick with you till the end. Happy anniversary Ben Kitili❤,” a dear Amina Mude sweetly penned.

Before her hubby decided to spill the beans, with a photo he took with his wife distant in the background, while openly admitting;

“Celebrating our second anniversary at home in-quarantine because rona is real. In sickness and in health but #NoKissingBaby????????”.

“This thing is real. Be careful out there -but if you get infected, the virus is very much beatable,” his post continues.

Eventually raising eyebrows wrapping up;

“Shout out to all the healthcare workers out there putting their lives at risk for us.”

Ben Kitili and wife marks 2 years wedding anniversary in quarantine

Kitili’s long post raised speculations of a possible infection in the family, though failed to clearly disclose who.

Before going public to admit through a tweet, that it has been difficult on him especially the children.

Fans took to the comment section to wish his beauty a quick recovery and a happy anniversary.

COVID-19 is a situation that became part of the Kenyan narrative in March 2020, sending the nation into a dilemma.

But many are yet to realize the harsh impact of the deadly virus on the human body.

Jahmby Koikai tells her story

For those still in doubt, renowned Kenyan Endo warrior, Jahmby Koikai has come out to tell her story of a similar situation she was in, for at least 3 solid years.

“2015-2018 were the hardest years of my life. It was common occurrence to check into the hospital I used to go to and wait for a bed. Yes wait, because the hospital was full,” her open letter starts off.

“Thankfully God was always on my side, there’d be someone on the discharge. The discharge process doesn’t take 10 minutes. It takes hours while I’d be seated on the bench trying to catch my breath and there was no pandemic then,” Jahmby attests.

All she had been queuing for at the time, was a supply of oxygen. Yes, oxygen.

“The most expensive thing in our Kenyan hospitals is OXYGEN,” she continues.

“My people, listen here, you will pay for OXYGEN per GRAM. It will be more expensive than your medication. I didn’t have a virus. I had Thoracic Endometriosis,” Jahmby warns the Kenyan mass.

At the time of her battle with endometriosis, she was admitted to a hospital in the US where her treatment proved successful in 2019 when she finally returned to Kenya.

The warning

“Now, with COVID-19, better be extremely careful. Do not do things because others are doing it. You will end up ALONE, NO HOSPITAL BED, NO OXYGEN, NO DOCTOR, NO NURSE,” she forewarns.

“I’ve fought this fight for years. Lung disease is not easy to recover from. It leaves you with other issues and could leave you on medication for life,” Jahmby continues.

“Don’t be reckless because you’ll go through some crazy unimaginable pain. Concerts, parties, political rallies ain’t going nowhere. They’ll be back. Your life comes first,” her letter closes off.

It is a sad state of affairs after a former Tusker Project Fame star was spotted living on the empty, cold streets of Nairobi, with nothing much to show of his fame.

Allow me to take you back in time to around 2009 when one David Major Ogola aka D Major released his album A Love Story following his major win at TPF.

Later rumored to have gone back to school to complete his degree.

He was later scheduled to perform at different concerts and festivals with different organizers and not much of him was heard after that.

His current state

More than a decade later, his name rings a bell among Kenyans after photos of him, looking deserted and in an unkempt state, surfaced online.

An individual whose profile reads; a Director at Major Universe Ltd and at the time, doing audio post production for Lions Den Season 3.

But what became of him is the big question no one has an answer to. A poor state of the former music star that has raised concern among netizens, questioning the infamous TPF judge Ian.

Sources further indicate that the artist is one individual who is occasionally spotted along Mirema drive, in Thika.

“The smart judge Ian should tell us what he thinks about his students. Why are they mostly drug addicts and zombies?” Kenyans ask.

“Ian Mbugua has really smart theories on how to contain COVID-19 and defeat BBI. Please show us one successful TPF contestant. Tell us bro,” blogger Robert Alai hit back at the judge.

Esma Platnumz and soon to be ex husband. Msizwa have been having relationship issues and in less than a year into their marriage; and rumor has it that the two are no longer together.

Actually Esma Platnumz is said t have lost her pregnancy; but others claim that she might have aborted since she is no longer involved with her South African based play boy cum husband, Msizwa.

Thanks to a video making rounds on social media we also understand that Mama Dangote’s daughter was hospitalized this past weekend; however no one knows why or what she could have been suffering from.

The fella who is said to be a player and womanizer went on to caption his post saying;

The WaJesus couple has found themselves at a tight spot after Milly unleashed evidence to support her claims that her husband has been cheating on her.

The couple was out to have a a number of issues of their brand new Audi Q5 sorted at the garage before things took an interesting turn.

The two had good conversations with their mechanic, had the various car changes made and were ready to leave.

On getting back to their car, Milly allegedly finds a flurry of calls and messages between her husband and one Joan who lives in Parklands and straight away confronts him.

The drama series

Unable to take her allegations, Kabi leaves to go and explain to his mechanic what has just transpired and tries to explain himself out.

“Niko na kaissue kidogo. Milly analeta za ovyo. Kuna dame flani alikuwa ananicall sa Milly anafikiria nacheat na yeye. Nikimwelezea, hataki kuskia,” he explains.

A vexed Milly jumps out of the car and goes to lash out at her husband who is busy trying to defend himself even though she clearly has evidence.

According to her, the few times he had claimed to be going to the garage on his own, were the opportunities he used to meet up with his Parklands’ side chick.

“I don’t feel safe letting him come to the garage anymore. I just can’t trust Kabi,” she admits to the mechanic.

“Ati mimi nakuja na dame huku? Si ni wewe tu!” Kabi tries to defend.

“That day you got a call from your friend then you lied to me that you came to the garage! Why are you lying?” Milly rants.

Milly suddenly loudly bursts into tears and makes the whole place tense.

“Mimi nataka kumalizia hapa!” she declares.

Meanwhile, Kabi is trying to show his phone records just to prove he has not been cheating on her but who is Milly? She now literally shouts back at her husband, crying.

“Love huwezi kuwa unadanganya watu marriage works na saa hizo hizi ndio vitu unafanya! Apana!”

A shaken Kabi WaJesus tries to pull her back and contain her tantrums but nothing is working.

Crime and Investigative journalist Hussein Mohammed has hang his working boots at KTN after 9 years of serving the people through the media house.

The journalist who is popularly known for his investigative segment that aired on KTN went on to make the announcement through his Twitter handle; leaving his colleagues and fans surprised at his exit.

Hussein Mohammed went on to post saying;

“It has been a great 9 years at @KTNNewsKE Thank you to my colleagues and to all for the support and goodwill you have shown to me over the years. See you soon InshaAllah,”

As seen on the about tweet, Hussein went on to thank his colleagues for the support and goodwill they have been showing him through the years. However now that it is time to make new moves, Hussein still hopes to see most of his colleagues around.

Starehe legislator, Charles Njagua alias Jaguar has raised an alarm after sharing a video of him while in hospital.

The Member of Parliament was spotted undergoing a CT scan, giving scanty details of what might have transpired.

According to the lawmaker, in a post on his Instagram page, he had been ailing for so long and it was time he finally determined his underlying condition.

An event that went down on Saturday, November 7 with the aim of celebrating the diversity and uniqueness of the Nairobi culture that unfortunately, disappointed revelers in attendance.

Reports indicating that the concert held at Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi, was one marred with theft incidences.

Missing case found dead

Unfortunately, a 17-year old boy was reported missing after the event, only to be found dead, days later.

One Stephen Mungau alias Shanty’s lifeless body has been found lying at the city morgue after allegedly being beaten to death by his attackers.

Word has it that he engaged bouncers guarding the event in a confrontation, that saw him eventually lose his life.

As Kenyans continue to demand justice for the teenage boy, the event organizer Bridget Achieng has come out to speak on the same.

Following the fatal incident, Bridget and the Nai Fest fraternity, expressed remorse and deep regret over the case.

“We state in no uncertain terms, it is deeply regrettable,” reads her statement.

Adding, “we have commenced investigations in conjunction with the DCI Dagoretti in an attempt to ascertain the crimes that were allegedly committed on the said date.”

The address further indicates that the Nai Fest fraternity had made proper arrangement to ensure all went as planned but;

“There are certain circumstances that were unforeseeable and not within our control. However, we do acknowledge, we should have had additional security as this is a learning curve for us.”

“In this regard, we shall continue to stand with and support the families adversely affected. It is regrettable and we hope it shall not happen again,” the letter wraps up.

Her posts have since attracted mixed reactions as friends of the deceased boy insist he was murdered by bouncers and his body dumped in the morgue, thereby demanding justice.

A cute, little boy who might eventually grow into a handsome young man caught the attention of his dad and aunt, Esma Platnumz, melting the hearts of many.

The kid who was minding his own business had his caption reading;

Popular Kenyan vlogger Joan Munyi aka Yummy Mummy is glad to have been given a second chance at life after getting involved in an ugly morning accident.

So the YouTuber was out for her routine gym workouts early morning before heading home to start off on her day’s plans.

The fateful incident

But as she left the gym on her way home, her brakes locked, so her car could not slow down and she had nowhere to run to.

The curvy babe rammed into the back of a stationary Citi Hoppa that left her car’s front badly damaged.

Unfortunately, she had just removed her seat belt because she had taken the turn into her home area and the impact left her chest sore.

“Guys always wear your seat belts. My boobs hit the steering wheel so hard, I thought they were gonna burst. I’m scared. I don’t know if I’ll ever drive again,” she openly admitted.

Fortunately, at the time, she was driving at 30kmph and close enough to the bus.

“My life legit flashed before my eyes as the bus got closer – I was like okay so this is the end Joan,” she opens up.

Those last seconds, had crazy thoughts running through her mind about the kind of legacy she had left behind and what the world will remember of her.

Police officers’ arrival at the scene almost nearly the situation worse after the officers did not seem convinced enough that her brakes failed, therefore hinting on taking her to court.

Fortunately, after shedding a ton of tears and saying her prayers, the officers set her free and off court matters, news that brightened up her day.

The beauty had to put off her morning plans until the incident got sorted, despite her scheduled flight tomorrow.

Looking on the brighter side, a dear Joan thanks God for a second chance at life, because it could have been a lot worse.

Bridget Achieng lied about Reekado Banks performing at the Naifest. Speaking recently during a live session socialite Bridget Achieng went revealed that the reason the Nigerian artists did not perform is because of curfew; however turns out that this was not even near the truth.

This was proven by one blogger, Sindamatiko who had an opportunity to interview Reekado Banks this pas weekend. Speaking for the first time about the Naifest; the Naija singer opened saying that payment was the main reason he did not perform.

According to Reekado his team had not received any payments from the organizers of the event; exposing Bridget Achieng for lying to the hundreds of Kenyans who bought tickets to attend the event. I mean, didn’t most pay to come see the Nigerian superstar perform after months of lockdown and no play?

Top Kenyan comedian, Mulamwah gave his two cents on the same and especially to youngsters chasing fame and the clicks by producing explicit content, who might instead end up in deep regret.

Taking to his Instastories, the funny man painfully admitted that young creatives are making haste decisions on ways to make quick money without thinking through the long-term effects.

“Nowadays most young creatives are running into making sexual and erotic videos for quick likes and views,” Mulamwah cried out.

Yes, the money and likes will come through but he warns those in the business of airing such explicit content to think long-term before it is too late.

He believes that sourcing for quick ways to get to the top is not the only solution because with hard work, patience and maintaining dignity, comes long-term fulfillment.

“You will get the hype and the trends, but no one will be willing to work with you. Be neat, rise slow, reap fruits,” his post wraps up.

Fans were quick to believe that Mulamwah’s outcry had been necessitated by the likes of 19-year old Shakilla who in the last couple of months has stirred in controversies.

Netizens applauded the comedian for his nugget of wisdom, especially at a time when the country is witnessing a rising trend among youngsters in clout chasing through raunchy content on social media.

Esma Platnumz is said to have been hospitalized following a few complications with her 5 month old pregnancy. From the rumors making rounds on social media; Esma Platnumz is said to have aborted this pregnancy after parting ways with new husband, Msizwa.

According to reports, the lady was hospitalized due to some complications with her pregnancy; but unfortunately she ended up loosing the child. Most of the fans are convinced that Esma aborted Msizwa’s pregnancy just like she did with her exes, Petitman’s baby.

Diana Marua and Bahati are an interesting couple who first met in the DM when Diana was still dating several men.

With regrets about her affairs with married men who boldly told her, “I can’t leave my wife for you but I can cater for your needs”.

A life that was unfulfilling, until the day she met Bahati.

How it all started

“One day, at around midnight I liked Bahati’s photos on his Instagram, then he liked mine as well. So that was like a signal that he noticed me,” she opened up on Mseto East Africa.

A month later, Bahati called Diana to be a vixen in his upcoming video and they met up at Laico Regency and for the first time, he treated a girl to dinner.

“It is hard for me to even buy a lady a soda, I’d rather take my money to a children’s home but that day, I asked Diana to order anything she wants,” Bahati confessed.

Turns out that all this while, Bahati had fallen in love with Diana but was not able to tell her yet.

So the day they were shooting his music video Mapenzi, vixens tried to win Bahati’s heart but he had already found a woman.

“During breaks, Bahati would take my hand and pull me aside, asking questions like where I live, but it made me feel uneasy,” Diana confessed.

Revealing that not just Bahati, but a number of men on set were also eyeing her including one ‘Mr S’, pointing fingers at Mr Seed.

Unfortunately, that very morning before the shoot, Diana was from crying after catching her then-boyfriend pants down with another girl in his car, right outside his house.

Either way, her relationship ended for the better, flaunting her current lifestyle with Bahati.

“2 months after the video shoot, Bahati opened up on his feelings for me,” Diana admits.

Tiffah and brother Nillan left Tanzanian this past weekend; but little did Miss Zari’s Hassan know that her daughter would ask for her papa; barely 24 hours after moving back to their home in South Africa.

As seen on a video shared by mama Danagote, we now have every reason to believe that Tiffah is a daddy’s girl; and the bond between her and Diamond Platnumz remains unfulfilled due to the distance.

Apparently Tiffah woke up late at night and all she could think of is her dad. In the video shared on mama Dangote’s page, Tiffah is heard demanding for her papa; and just when many thought this was scripted the young girl broke down into tears making this serious.

This was however expected judging from the strong bond between Tiffah and her father not forgetting mama Dangote who ‘glues’ them together.

In the past few days we have watched Tiffah and her papa dominate Tanzania to a point of living Bongo journalists looking for words during the random paparazzi interviews. Following her arrival in Tanzania in early November, Zari Hassan has opened up on her love life, those that got messed up, those she is looking to mend and her expectations from Diamond Platnumz.

The Dangote family has proven that the Ugandan boss lady was one of their favorite in-laws from the Bongo star, with Mama Diamond publicly proving her love for the mother of 5.

However, Zari confessed that her breakup with Naseeb was difficult on the kids who she believes that no matter how strong she might be as a woman and a mother, she still needed the extra hand from her baby daddy.

“When Nillan and Tiffah would go to school in South Africa and meet their friends, their friends would always talk about mum and dad but for my kids, they kept asking about dad,” Zari opened up on Wasafi Media.

According to her however, she would love to see Diamond find a woman who can make him settle in life and that might not quite be her.

What of King Bae?

Zari and her rumored King bae’s relationship ended soon as it started, just after news of her new relationship with a mysterious South African businessman got to the limelight.

According to Zari, King Bae was a sweet soul but things did not go as expected. He had already formed a bond with her and her children and letting go was not easy for her.

However, she admitted she moved on, though King bae occasionally calls to know how the kids are doing.

“He was such a chilled guy but there are things that came up and things happened. Love makes you do crazy things,” she disclosed.

According to Size 8 she wasn’t so sure as to whether her baby would make it; but thanks to her prayers Muraya Junior was born and has been growing up as a healthy baby boy.

From rags to stardom

Jessy was born in Meru to both his parents who passed on when he was 11, but that only made him stronger and a firm believer in God.

The MC was a lover of drama ever since his high school days that saw him grow his career in the field but soon as he was done, he could not make it to campus.

He left Meru for Nairobi where he had to learn how to survive, he tried National Theatre but to no avail.

“I used to stay at the Meru bus stage in Tearoom. Where goods are stored, I used to sleep on top of the last one. We would all share the little food we had,” he disclosed.

That was for 3 months before he met his former high school classmate, whose dad was an MP and lived in Kileleshwa. That day, Jessy went to stay with his friend and the dad and never returned to Tearoom.

“I would prepare breakfast for them just to make myself relevant. Eventually I spent more days with them and became their houseboy,” MC Jessy added.

Leonard Mambo Mbotela appeals to Kenyans to help him clear KSh1.1M hospital bill

Veteran radio presenter, Leonard Mambo Mbotela who is currently admitted in hospital, has appealed to Kenyans to help him offset a pending KSh1.1M hospital bill.

A letter signed by Stephen Mutavi, Nairobi South Hospital Human Resource Manager, indicates that since Mbotela’s admission on October 29, 2020, his medical bill has ballooned to a whopping KSh1,105,498.78.

The media personality was set for discharge this Friday, but due to the pending hospital bill, remains in hospital until it is cleared.

“He is due for discharge on Friday, November 13 as per the doctor’s recommendation. To continue with home care treatment. Any assistance given towards offsetting this bill will be highly appreciated,” reads the letter.

The letter further indicates that Mr Leonard is responding well to treatment so far but appeals to Kenyans for financial aid towards the medical fund.

Mambo Mbotela’s footprint continues even as he lives, having started off at Voice of Kenya back in 1964. And currently at the national broadcaster KBC where he still hosts his ‘Je, huu ni ungwana?’ show to date.
